Thanks for the assist Tiggsnanny :) Mine seems to be this; www.fitbit.com/user/2VLNLS Hoping this is a useful piece of kit as my husband is a little sniffy about my 'glorified pedometer'. He did help me set it up with my awkward laptop ( I run Ubuntu instead of windows), so I can't be too hard on him. :)

I've just got one - happy to join the party once I figure out my linky...

That's really inspirational - well done you!

Lidl, Aldi and Farmfoods are my friends, but I do cook for a family. Although the range of fresh stuff at farmfoods is limited, it's a good price - a sack of potatoes for £2.75, bags of 20 apples or pears for a pound and so on. Also a good range of frozen veg, fish and meat. We also get vouchers through the door from them…

I do have a smartphone, but it may not be smart enough... I've got to return an Oregon Scientific ssmart dynamo tracker that I bought on an Aldi offer as I'd been toying with a tracker for ages. I found it wouldn't sync with computers, only smartphones running Android 4.3 and mine runs 4.1. Not willing to root the phone in…

Wow, that looks lethal! I have made apple crumble with dark chocolate chunks in the past, which is a tasty combination...

Yes, got to admit I had a great time, and it's not like I'll be doing it again till at least next year ;)
-
lol, to be fair I have spent a lot more time in the bathroom today than usual, so here's hoping...:)

It's not easy, is it. I lost before my two pregnancies then piled it back. You need to take pride in doing it again though, as getting back to it can be even harder than doing it first time. You also know how the health benefits feel. You can do it!

34, taken, works in IT

I love this! Can I borrow it even though I'm a Brit :) OP, families can be odd that way. My heart goes out to you. Remember though, no-one can make you feel inferior without your permission.

If it wasn't this, it'd be something else. Hold your head high and be your own person. Not easy, but worth it. As I'm sure you know, it is hard for females to get bulky due to hormones - suggest they open their ears in biology classes ;)

Great post!

Looks like you really enjoy life - good for you:)

Presuming we're talking butternut squash or similar. They make great soup or if you cut them up, spray them with frylight and bake, thats good too. You could add chicken and other veg, maybe some chilli plus whatever seasoning you like to make an easy traybake to feed the family.

Wondered if something like this would track my cycling if worn on my ankle?
-
Got me too - I'm another Who fan. Although if he ever said 'Allons-y' to me, I'd say ' Fine, I'll get my bike'

Feel free to add me. I have two boys and their social lives are better than mine! I tend to cycle everywhere, either with us all on our own bikes or with the boys in my cargo trike. At the moment, I'm doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred, which is short enough to be fitted in before the boys get up! You can do this -…

Thanks for this useful post - I've just started the 30DS but didn't realise you had to change levels every 10 days and can take rest days. Should have done my research instead of plunging in because it was raining cats and dogs on my usual Zumba day...
-
Well, that gave me a boost - I'm 22.5% smaller than I thought. Thanks OP

That's hard. Have you considered something like swimming or cycling to ease the stress on your joints? Also, how old are your trainers? Maybe they've lost their cushioning. Try and stretch those calories with lots of water, fruit and veg. Hang in there.

I read when I was a teenager that if you can stick out drinking tea with no sugar for 10 days, you won't want it any more. At the time I drank it with two sugars, so I thought I'd give it a go. It actually worked. However, if that's too much to suffer through, there are plenty of alternative sweeteners out there. In any…

That's a great achievement, especially with all the current political meddling. Time to celebrate! I'm proud of my boys because at the ages of 6 and 3, they ride their bikes without stabilisers and with good control. We went on a 6 mile family ride on a local bike path last weekend, with no problems at all :)

I think you can make homemade tortilla chips by cutting up a flour tortilla (could use a wholemeal one) spraying it with frylight and baking in a hot oven. Make your own salsa with tomatoes, chilli, red onion and vinegar and there's one of your five a day. Sorted!

Hi there! Have added you :)

If chafing is an issue, maybe some anti chafe cream like Bodyglide or Udderly Smooth Chamois Cream ( that one doesn't contain menthol. but many chamois creams do, so be careful what you substitute according to what's available) Try different brands too - I find Bodyform pads okay, but Always chafe me - something to do with…

Cream based alcohol drinks were a bit of a shock. My husband wanted to share his Amarula Marula Fruit and Cream Liqueur with me. !00ml of that is 325 calories! That's just insane - I said no, I could have a pile of food for that!!
-
I like Wilma - she's awesome too :) Don't think she'd put up with Fred Flintstone ;)

I enjoy the diversity of pictures that people use - it's part of the fun. My picture has my cargo trike in it, which I think is awesome and good exercise. However, one of my boys' arms is visible. Clearly he is now in danger from internet arm perverts. Or something. Time to chillax, everyone!

Yup, if this were true, myself :drinker: and the majority of the UK population would be svelte and I'm darned if that's the case
