I had the same problem, now I do it popeye style, and just always keep a bag of spinach in the fridge to snack on

Ankle weights can be dangerous with prolonged use while running (walking is not as bad). The cause you to change your gait which can lead to chronic injuries/pains from bad running form, even at fairly light weights.

I had a partial tear in one achilles years ago, so that one has always given me some trouble. For the past 2 month I have really increased my running and sports (soccer, football), and the right one has been sore every morning, and during/following exercising for about a month, and for the past week the left one has been…

Hit the gym first!

Yup, lead the group at my church, play out with my brothers, and also do an acoustic set on occasion with some friends

Haha yeah I am with you on this one. Lately I have been focusing on keeping breakfast and dinner healthy and well portioned. My lunch is usually my worst, at work there is not great options, and I rarely have time to make it before hand (and sure I'm a little lazy). What has been helping me is getting in a good run and a…

This won't be the last time that you will be in a situation where you would normally drink. Not drinking at all is fine if that is something that you will be happy with. However, you need to work on a long term solution, a way you will be happy dealing with it on a regular basis. I think getting a run on the beach is a…

What part of nh? I am in Lowell MA and would love to train/run one of these.

Brace would be important, but things like an exercise bike can be very good for it. A friend of mine ran track for 6 months on a torn ACL before getting the surgery (I wouldn't suggest this), but there is a lot you can do. Stay away from hi impact, and from anything where you have to start and stop a lot.

Nice job so far, I'm from Lowell MA and have been on for a couple of months as well. Friend me if you like.

Not sure if this is good advice, but I always go for runs when i have headaches/colds and the like. Helps blood flow, forces you to breath deeper and open your lungs. Just be careful that you don't overdo it. Take a break if you feel dizzy.

It's actually a conspiracy. Everyone knows how to use it correctly. I'm sorry but I can't tell you why if you don't already know.

Do intervals if you don't want to run a lot, run for even just a 100 feet, walk to recover then do it again. It will be much better than just walking.

#1 Highschool Junior 4x200 Indoor State Meet - Got the baton in 4th place, passed two guys on the final turn and one on the last straightaway to come in 1st. #2 Highschool Senior 400m Outdoor State Meet - Huge underdog, passed 3 people in the final 100m only to come in second but also a school record (still standing). #3…

I'd love to know as well. For now I just set up my own estimation for sprint training days.

First off, congratulations on starting running, that is great! There is no perfect answer to your question, speed and distance is completely different for every person in their development. What I would suggest if you are running every day is alternating speed and length days. Run 1-1.5 miles one day at a fast pace, and…

Kind of a gross one, but...belly button depth haha

I've broken and/or sprained my right ankle 6 times, mostly pretty severe. 2 months should be plenty for a mild sprain. The pain and stiffness might remain until you do run on it again for a while. Have you been doing any PT for it?

Same thing here, my knee's hurt and swell up if I take smaller strides

Lifting up your toes with a force pulling them down will build up the tibialis anterior and medialis, beginner exercise is writing the alphabet in the air with your big toe . Massaging the sore area with an ice cube can relieve pain temporarily. Sometimes tight feet muscles or flat feet, and week core muscles can…

Does anyone on here actually speak welsh? That would be amazing and I would be jealous

Yeah I workout at home or at the gym at work as well. One caution if you are not well versed in lifting though is to watch some video's on correct body mechanics for the workout you are trying to do. Incorrect form can lead to injuries pretty quickly.

My bedroom is half underground, so the windows are at ground level. Almost EVERY morning when I change, a groundhog peeks his head around the corner and just stares at me. Once I finish he turns away and walks past. Also to the OP, I always pee with the door open when I'm home alone haha
