I love it and don't find it boring but I love anything that's carefully choreographed to specific beats in music. So I get more bored in kickboxing than combat. And actually combat kind of is a hybrid in itself - of all the martial arts.

hang on, when people say they are ordering plates - does that mean you can get Les Mills workouts for home use?? I want them!
-
I used to love it but found it got boring from overuse. I do it sometimes now but now I worry that having to keep time with the music makes me less effective as I can lift heavier weights in my own time iyswim

Thank you so much!

Could you be over estimating what you burn or under estimating what you eat? If not then yes I would cut back on what you're eating. Maybe don't eat all the exercise calories or aim to net 1200, one of the two. If you are actually putting on weight (rather than just plateuing) then I really don't think eating *more* can be…

I am always way over on sugar too, largely from fruit. Personally, I ignore it. I believe that fruit is healthy and I have way too many obsessions and food hang ups to start worrying about eating a 2nd apple in a day! However, some people say that our body actually *doesn't* differentiate between types of sugar and that…

Me too. It's awful. I'm slowly getting better but it's really hard. Things I don't like: Sausages, Burgers, Bacon, Mince, Offal, Prawns/Mussels/Crab etc, Soya/Quorn/Tofu products, most beans and lentils, almost all nuts, butter/margerine, milk, soft/blue/strong cheeses, fried/poached egg. Onions, tomatoes, mushrooms,…

But, assuming your ticker is correct, you're about 100 pounds heavier than me so the extra calories needed make sense don't they? I think it's a combination of height and weight that affect how much energy you need.
-
Up to 100 of them, no more. Mainly because I don't believe I'm burning as much as MFP/machines/google etc says I am.

Height: 5'1" Female HW: 132 LW: 80ish CW: Not sure, but about 120 at a guess Goal: 99

Why?

If it's one day, you're not hungry and you want to work out. Just go for it, it doesn't matter at all. If you're tired and fancy skipping the workout then I guess you can do so guilt free!

I only let myself back on MFP the other day. I had to ban myself because I freaked out if I DIDN'T get the 'you are eating too little' red message that pops up when you are under 1200. So, I agree, 1200 is important. However, I still make sure I stay under 1300 because I am female, short and slim. It's all relative. I'm…

I don't know how I could possible meet my sodium goal to be honest. I may have accidentally set it way too high. It wants me to have 2500mg and I only get around 1000mg. And I think I eat a HIGH salt diet! Sugar on the other hand, I am ALWAYS over on. But the bulk of it is fruit sugars and I try not to worry about that.…

So, the more literate you are the more crap you get to eat? I must try that as an incentive with some of my lower ability English classes. "Once you learn to say this ingredient, you can eat it children!"

Jellybabies And I always try and justify buying a pack because I only like the red, pink and black ones so my head is saying 'it's only half the calories'. Still 200+ calories of pure sugar I really don't need though! Having said that, I have been on a Jellybaby diet before and it was (very short term!) very successful.…

Thanks. I bought a very cheap HRM watch last year but after it told me that I had only burned 50 calories in an intense 60 min step aerobic class I threw it away in a fit of temper!! I don't really have the spare money for an expensive one but cutting the calories by 1/2 sounds like a reasonable plan, thanks. Argh, it's…

Maybe you upped your calories too soon. 1650 plus exercise is a lot. You could be eating 2000 a day easily and your exercise is only mild-moderate really, especially if you are quite sedentary outside of the exercise. That sounds very much like a maintenance diet to me. I would drop back down and be patient. If you eat…

Between 1050 and 1190 (because I assume I must make a calculation error somewhere so need a buffer) And no, I don't see the need to eat exercise calories.

Baked potatoes aren't high calorie at all. They are also very low fat, have some protein and, although they're high in carbs, they easily fit into a day's allowance if you have one for either lunch or dinner. I don't like butter or beans personally so I don't know how much difference that makes but the value that I use for…

I like the ones which are from the perspective of someone other than the sufferer - The Invisible Girl etc. Mainly because they remind me how not okay EDs are. Wintergirls is probably my favourite though because most of those kind of books make me want to restirct really heavily and become skin and bone etc. But…

malibu is lower than vodka? Really? I've always avoided Malibu because it's so sweet. Will have to look into this, I much prefer it to Vodka!

Thanks. Reducing the number of yolks is a good idea. Do you really have to put cheese in aswell as the egg? I don't really like cheese Clearly, I don't know how to cook!!

I can really relate to you on the all or nothing front and it is dangerous. I've also had years and years of fasting, crash dieting, binge eating, anorexia and bulimia. And seriously, it took years for me to be able to diet sensibly without immediately going to extremes. It seems I had to either give up control altogether…

bananas?

I don't think you're doing too much, no. And I don't see how you can fail to lose weight on this regime eventually. Plateaus happen but it will break at some point. With that deficit, it has to. Eating your exercise calories may or may not help you, it seems to be different for different people. You could always try it and…

It doesn't work for me. Calories in being as small as poss and calories out as big as poss is the only thing that's ever kept me slim. As soon as I eat over 1200 ish with exercise or 1000ish without exercise my weight skyrockets.

My nearest Virging Active gym. I love the variety of classes. Sometimes walking and running outside. I teach some sports and dance lessons at school during term times.

Thanks for the support Sad that something harmful is validating isn't it!
