It helps with accuracy in reporting for those of us who want it, and also portion control for those of us who need it. After weighing Almonds for a while I can now tell if I've got an ounce or not without getting out the scale and I have found this to be very helpful for both accuracy in reporting and portion control.

I like Think Thin Peanut Butter - they can be ordered online. I've tried many protein bars and I think these are the best tasting. I'm also a lover of the protein powder shake, much like the one above but I put in 1 cup Almond Milk (unsweetened), frozen Kale or Spinach, Chia or Flax (not both) and frozen berries, sometimes…

It sounds to me like you might just need a little break; take some time to enjoy your huge weight loss which is also a huge health gain. Maintain this and come back to the BMI issue in a while, a couple of weeks or months and see how you feel then. You may find yourself reinvigorated at having a new goal to tackle.

My daughter was 3+ and after trying all the tricks, bribes, rants I could think of to get her to use the toilet instead of a diaper or her training pants, I finally told her she would have to clean her messy training pants herself because I was tired of it. She washed her poopy pants out once, and was on the toilet all the…

More food, and add some produce both fruit and vegetable which will also provide nutrition that looks to be lacking.

I like mine steamed slightly, then while that's going put a small amount of oil in a pan with some curry or grand masala, some onion, cilantro, cashews or other nut optional, and then finish it off with the juice of a lime. It's delicious.

I am making the switch this week to mornings. In the evening I get my gym bag ready with my regular clothes and towel, put my work out clothes out to wear to the club. Decide on lunch and have that ready in the fridge. I set my phone alarm (way louder and more annoying than the other one) for 4:45 am. I get up, brush my…

Try to find a copy of Hard Bodies Express Workout by Gladys Portugues on Amazon or Barnes & Noble used books. It's really great, easy to follow, good illustrations for home.

Eliminate alcohol which will weaken resolve. Drink hot tea. Drink water. Get all the late night snack food out of the house. Or just eat it, record it, get back up the next day and begin again.

You can turn chocolate milk into pudding with chai seeds, use them to thicken soups and sauces. I buy mine in the supplement area of the local health food store

Suggest you look into dietary changes to reduce inflammation - less dairy, sugar, flour products. Plenty of reading available on this. Good luck.

bump because I love cabbage

Salads - easy at the cafeteria and the grocers. For hot vegies, I have the "soy or ponzu sauce" version and the "red sauce" version, and in goes whatever I have on hand. For "soy" it could be any or all: cabbage, carrots, pea pods, peppers, onions, broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms with nuts or chicken. For the "red" it is…

I like my breakfast shake, but mine are home made. I'm not a fan of the can because they seem to be largely sugar and it's an issue for me. I think you might be more satisfied spreading those calories throughout the day. Try getting some fat in your dinner, at 100 calories a serving it helps with the satiety factor.

Try to record food in and calories spent as accurately as you can. You can calculate calories spent using your heart rate and time/weight/height.

Congratulations, and what a great idea to have a fitness birthday!!

Best work out for you, is the one you will do, that you enjoy. Walking is free, your elliptical is good. Use canned goods if you want 1 pound weights, or get some inexpensive hand weights new or used.

Celery has sodium and is crunchy. I like to have the Skinny Pop 100 calorie bags, I think it is really tasty.
-
For birthday / events plan the rest of your days food around the cake. For night time eating, stock up on celery or watermelon for crunchy or sweet snacks, and drink some hot tea, it works for me.

Wow, awesome tip, thanks.

If you want to cut the sugar in your yogurt, try some liquid stevia. Powdered is okay but I think liquid mixes better in yogurt.
-
Frozen soy beans/ edamame -add them to your cooked dishes or salads. This is about the only soy I like to eat. Split peas, chick peas, spinach.

Drink some herbal tea, fills you up, and is warming. You can make it sweet if sweets are what you crave. Plan a snack - then stick to it.

See your doctor, if it's something you can get answers and treatment. If it's nothing even better. Free advice is worth every penny you pay for it, and your knees deserve better care.

I don't think you have to log the calories you don't ingest. I love coconut oil for my outside, and yes for calming the eczema. Try it right out of the shower while you are still a little damp. I sometimes put in in a smoothie if I need a dessert - almond milk, coconut oil, chocolate, ice or frozen fruit - YUM, but you do…

Many times - I got tired of coming up with a way to explain no, I was just fat. I lost about 20 pounds 10 years ago and walking around the pond at work a woman said to me "oh, you had your baby". I said "no, I lost 20 pounds but thanks for noticing" I admit I enjoyed watching her sputter and try to walk that back.
