Lot of jokers with no advice responding. My advice is get Dr. Weil's 8 Weeks to Optimal Health. As someone who has done a detox on the heels of going on the wagon, I can tell you the first week you will feel terrible while your liver and kidneys wash the toxins out and then you will start to feel wonderful. Start with…

Increase your green vegetable intake, knock out those baked goods and bread/pasta for a few days see if that doesn't make a difference.

Increase your vegetable intake without increasing your carb/fat intake. It could be that you aren't eating enough to keep yourself going. I know it sounds crazy to eat more, but it may for some of us (me for one) it makes all the difference. I think the guides given automatically here are nice, but don't take them as a…

Before you eat, ask yourself what is it (non-food) you are hungry for? Now think about how you felt the last time you finished a huge binge; are you willing to have that feeling of shame, self loathing again? If not, have some water, take a walk, call a friend, pet your cat and congratulate yourself for making it through.…

When I've been craving Ice Cream I put a little coconut oil in my morning smoothie and that usually helps with the fat satisfaction, and cocoa powder might be just what you need to get the creamy fatty chocolaty fix you need and still keep it on the nutritious. I use Stevia to hold down the sugar because that's where I run…

I would encourage you to make conversation at your health club, work out spot even if it's just with the instructor or the person at the front desk, or the person standing…

Me too please - also with the 50+ to lose, emotional / bored eater, new grandmother (3 under 2) and properly medicated so no real problems. It's hard enough to stay away from the pumpkin muffins I could use a laugh with someone who understands that life is too serious to be so serious.

Find yourself a copy of "When You Eat at the Refrigerator, Pull Up a Chair" - very helpful

No, but I drink Zevia (stevia sweetened zero calorie pop) because I like it. Sometimes I put root beer flavored stevia in water just to get more water in that isn't carbonated and not so boring. I know water is good for me, it's just not my favorite beverage.

That's like saying Lettuce, Onion, Tomatoe, Mayo, Mustard, Ketchup coverup the taste of hamburger. I prefer "enhance". Just trying to keep a positive spin here.

More GREEN FOODS - find some recipes you like and boost your greens. Kale in a salad with a little olive oil and fresh lemon juice, Swiss chard (or spinach), onion, mushrooms, pine nuts and some marinara. Low calorie, nutrient dense. Your work out schedule is awesome so keep that up.

NEVER will I boycott cauliflower, I love it. Great for dipping, excellent curried (steam it, then sautee in olive oil, red curry, cashews, chives, cilantro and lime juice) YUM! Makes a great soup with a little bacon. Always good in a stirfry. Good and good for you. Potatoes are okay but they will never be cauliflower.

For inexpensive protein, you can find egg white powder in the grocery store with the baking supplies.
