I'm 5'6" and 105 lbs with low body fat....my thighs still touch. But you know, I'm finally okay with that. They are strong, muscular, and (when I'm not on the injured list) run miles and miles at a time. You can't spot reduce, sorry.

start slowly! your body needs to adjust and you have to start somewhere. pick a cardio that you think you will enjoy, and start with 5-10 minutes. try to increase by a few minutes every week. does your gym offer a first personal training workout for free? i bet a trainer would have some great suggestions for you after…

My goal is to kick *kitten*. At everything. I see an orthopedic surgeon/sports medicine doc on Thursday about my knee, so until then, I can't really do specific goals. In a perfect "oh your knee is fine, suck it up" world I would like to run a marathon. I'd like to bench my bodyweight. I have 20 lbs to go.

3-4 days of lifting (just over an hour each session). On the injured list waiting to see ortho surg about my knee, but pre-injury I was running 20ish miles a week on top of lifting.

I lift with hubby a few days a week. If I'm having a *****y day, he knows that I don't want to talk. And same the other way around. Some days we'll joke and flirt and have fun, other days we'll just spot each other. We don't do cardio together.

What kind of pain is it? Sharp? Stabbing? Dull? Throbbing?

Haven't read the replies. I haven't been able to run in what seems like years. I'm pretty sure it's been just over two weeks. I seriously went through withdrawals. Yes. "Do you even weigh 100 lbs?" I was out running one evening this last summer and someone yelled "eat a burger!" out their car window at me. It is SUPER AWESOME when my husband's drunk ex asks what I weigh.

I've got the 4, the 6 show up when I'm eating clean...which is rarely. BUT, it's not like I pull my shirt off and have bulging muscles. I can flex and they are there, but otherwise I'm just flat.

I tend to eat more all the time. I'm an eater. I listen to my body. If I drop a lb or two, I eat even more. I am STARVING after any workout, whether it's a long run or lifting heavy. I try to eat carbs/protein within half an hour of working out, but sometimes it's more like an hour. Darn kids always wanting snacks first :)

Those lovely love handles are fat. Unfortunately. When you do your cardio, what are you doing? Crazy intervals helped me a ton, as well as hill sprints. I swear by hill sprints. For intervals I would do more fartlek because I was running outdoors in the semi-dark. So I'd speed up for a few blocks, recover for two blocks,…
