Bump. I'm interested in your progress with this. I'm in the same boat, basically, as you are; although, I have been able to lose weight, it just stopped coming off and i'ts been about 3 weeks since I've seen a loss. In fact, I've gained. I workout 8-10 times a week and am also eating TDEE of 1594. I am also on…

Protein bars are full of protein and you can eat them on the run. Even faster than a shake. Although, if I were you, I'd just get up 15 minutes earlier and use that time for breakfast and "you" time before rushing off to your 10 hour day. I started getting up an hour earlier every day (4:30 am) work out for 35 minutes, eat…

It seems to me it starts over at midnight, after you fall asleep so basically, you start over. You don't burn many calories sleeping. Also, are you entering your exercise on MFP only? I assume, yes. IDK if you know this, but on MFP, you are supposed to enter the time you started exercising and the amount of time spent…

So I made this today and used low sodium beans and low sodium chicken broth. It made 11 servings. Each serving a heaping cup, about 340 grams. That reduced the nutrition to the following: 208 calories 3 grams fat 895 mg sodium (what MFP calculated with the low sodium stuff) 40 grams carbs 7 grams sugar 9 grams protein 10…

You can thank the large amounts of cumin and chili powder for that smokey flavor. Not everyoner is a fan of cumin (I AM), so reducing to the cumin to 1 tsp should cut that smokey flavor down a bit if it's too offensive.

You should try to exercise 30 minutes everyday. You can do it 10 minutes at a time, 3x a day as long as you get your heart rate up and it stays up there. As you get stronger you'll want to do more than 10 minutes at a time. And eventually, you'll want to do more than 30 minutes a day. Once you get there, you can throw in a…

I'm with you....but I read every word. Trying to make my brain understand! LOL!

I need to get a HRM. What did you get? does it post calories burned?
-
I started today. Great intense workout which is scheduled for 2x a week at work. Anyone know the calories burned? I've heard a mixture of things. I don't have a heart rate monitor; but do have a Fitbit flex. Guess I may need to get a HR if I really want to know.

You can change the value of calories burned that MFP suggests. Then you can log your true time spent exercising and have an accurate value for calories burned. Don't cheat yourself.

That's interesting. I am larger framed and when I lost weight and added lean muscle I dropped to 120 lbs. I had never weighed so little before; well except maybe 6th grade... Even though I had muscle and was eating healthy and exercising, I was asked by many of my friends if I was sick; they suspected the worse. I took a…

Or maybe we can all agree to disagree.... :noway: :ohwell:

You are partly correct; however, if your soda, tea, vodka, etc has calories, you also need to log them as calories in addition to adding them to your total "water" intake. Those calories can add up and are "empty calories" if they are not a healthy drink like a protein shake, milk, etc. Water is better for your liver and…

Tried a new exercise; Jillian Michaels Total Body Kit (resistance bands). I came down with a terrible cold on Friday, but still managed to do 30 minutes of the dvd plus 20 minutes of stretching.

My philosophy is "Live and let live" :flowerforyou: and scroll on by if it's not for me. I have that general attitude for things. If I absolutely despise seeing something, I'll click on that little down arrow at the upper right hand corner of the post and hide or delete it. Have a great day everyone! :glasses: :drinker:…

LOL! Never trust someone distributing advice who gets their paycheck from the entertainment industry. It seems like they'll promote any product if the paycheck is big enough.. too bad.
