Just saw the part about the free gym membership. I would start there. I HATED my workout until I started seeing results. Now I hate missing it. Also, lifting weights help you burn fat. Start small and work your way up.

Find an exercise you enjoy such as dancing, rollerblading, walking the dog or whatever else gets you moving. Or join a gym and work with a trainer to find things you might enjoy.

I haven't had any adverse effects from diet soda or coffee.

Stuffed portabella mushroom caps are wonderful and so low calorie. You can stuff with black olives, tomatoes and a little light cheddar for a taco mushroom or with tomato, fresh basil and light mozzarella for a pizza mushroom. There's endless possibilities.

Congratulations! That is so awesome that you reached your goal. I am still losing but have never been successful with maintenance and am hoping this time I can do it (when I reach my goal) by continuing to log my food and stick to my work out.

Set small goals and keep going even when you don't want to and don't see changes. Remember, it takes four weeks for you to see, eight weeks for family and twelve weeks for the world. You can do it!

This doesn't seem like "Fun and Games" :) But really, for some people it's easier to focus on accomplishing small goals and also a weight of 170 or 175 is attainable and maintainable. And if someone can go from over 300 pound to 175 pounds, then they deserve massive praise.

I don't consider it cheating but I give myself a free day every now and then. I don't schedule it once a week because I don't always feel like doing it but when there is something special going on, I allow myself to eat normally and drink a few beers without counting calories.
