I clicked on this thread because I thought an elephant's penis was missing. I'm a little disappointed but congratulations on your success!

Gee, your friends sure are rude not making it all about you.

I'm dying at "taking long walks on the beach with it"

I eat 1200 calories a day and I am never hungry. I load up on fresh veggies and high protein foods which fill me up. Sure, it didn't start out way but I'm used to it now and if I do splurge, I feel crappy.

I have a question about the diary. I'm a 1200 calorie girl and I don't mind opening it and having everyone see the what I eat all day but I am wondering if anyone can see my weight. When I look at my diary my "If every day were like today" weight is there there and while I will share what I eat all day long, I'm not super…

I use the arc trainer which is easier on my old joints than the treadmill but it's a more challenging workout than a standard elliptical.

I do try to stay close to the calories they give me but sometimes I am under too. Have you tried adjusting your goals? I felt like my calories were a little high early on and adjusting my goals fixed that.

I'm smaller than I thought; thank you.

I was in exactly the same position. As far as racking the weights, usually someone on staff can show you how to do it and will do it until you are comfortable. I was SO intimidated at first and felt like I was being judged but you tend to see the same people every day and trust me, if you show up and do your thing…

You are exactly right.

This machine kicks my butt every day. I had to start on manual to build up the leg strength to be able to do anything higher than 25 resistance and that was after six months of running on a treadmill and elliptical.

I've noticed at my gym that most people don't socialize. Maybe because it's 5:30 in the morning but I was expecting more of the "we're all in this together" atmosphere but I haven't really seen it. People aren't rude but everyone just keeps to themselves.

Welcome and best of luck to your on your journey!

I thought I was logging accurately; I had no idea about some of this. Thanks for the tip.
