How's your sodium intake? When I over-eat on my sodium I 'gain' water weight that can stay with me for up to a week.

Even people on here who have some real scary stories with loose skin do not regret one bit losing the weight. What happens, happens. You'll be healthier and happier and can cross the skin bridge when you come to it.

My fiance tries very hard to be supportive - he praises me for how much better I look already, etc. But I know it gets on his nerves when I talk about my weight loss goals CONSTANTLY. It's on my mind a lot every day, and he feels like it puts undo pressure on him (while he too has lost weight, he doesn't feel like he's…

Some people do the intermittent fasting thing (aka strategically skipping a meal) but it's not recommended for people who have portion control issues. I cut down to a very light breakfast (coffee and turkey bacon) and that's been working for me for the past few weeks - it keeps me full later into the day but also is low on…

Working to get to 140lbs eventually. I've always been curvy or heavy in my life, and I don't think I really want to bust myself down to 130. Ideally I'd like to stay around 150lbs, but since I've lost and gained before I want to give myself 10lbs of wiggle room, just in case. SW: 250 CW: 223 GW: 140 Started in: April 2014…

My advice is twofold: 1. Focus on who you are as a person. The depression is important to battle, and as I've never had the struggle myself. But focus on you, don't focus on what men think of you. 2. I'm a fashion-addict, and I was at 240lbs when I met my now-Fiance. No matter my weight, I have always had such a good time…

I participate on a lot of plus size swap/sell groups for fashionable female clothing. Happy to put you in touch if you'd like just send me a message.

I too hate working out. I've lost about 30lbs in the past 4 months and have been to the gym a total of 3 times. I love walking, and have been going for walks with my fiance as often as I can to drop this weight. Seems to be working well so far - feel free to add me if you'd like!

When people say that the fat acceptance movement is dangerous and promotes an unhealthy lifestyle.

I have some trouble sometimes - particularly when I hit 20lbs. I had no other near-term goals at that point and the moment I saw that I was 20lbs down my motivation just left me in a giant WOOSH. I was really scared that was the end for me. But I kept going. This weekend I picked up my friend's baby who weighs about 20lbs…

Don't go for such a goal, because you won't be able to sustain it and the moment you fall off the wagon (either because you have a bad day or because you've reached your goal and no longer need to maintain that weight loss) it'll all come flying back on. 2lbs a week is a sustainable goal, I've found. 3.5 months in and…

I want to be one of the success stories so much! SW 250lbs (April 2014) CW: 224.6lbs GW: 150lbs

One person said something when I wore a black dress to work, when I was at about 20lbs. I think part of it is that my work clothes are all really big on me (which is funny because they were tailored to my measurements about 9 months ago) and they kind of hang off me. I can take a fist full of fabric just beneath my bust.

Eat and drink whatever you want - just do so in moderation. Want chinese for lunch? Maybe have a lighter dinner so your calories balance out. Like soda? Maybe switch to skim milk for your morning cereal. Balance and moderation.

Small goals. 35lbs is the halfway point to my first big goal. 50lbs is when I will do engagement photos. 70lbs is where I will go wedding dress shopping. 100lbs is next summer at the beach with a new bathing suit. 120lbs is October 10, 2015 - my wedding day. Day to day it's smaller battles though. 20lbs lost, all I wanted…

Welcome! I have about 100lbs to lose. I'm trying so hard to be patient, but I just want all the weight gone NOW. So I log regularly and keep pretty strict to always ending the day in the black on calories. Add if you'd like. SW: 250 (April 2014) GW: 150 (Summer 2015) CW: 224.6

I refuse to try on a wedding dress until I've lost 70lbs - which I should do by January for my October 2015 wedding. Best of luck!

I've lost 25lbs since April 2014. My goal is to lose 20lbs every 3 months. My interim goal is 70lbs by January 2015 and 100lbs by summer 2015. Bonus goal is 120lbs by October 2015 for my wedding. SW: 250 CW: 224.6

The thought of going wedding dress shopping, but none of the samples would fit me.

I'm focusing on setting small goals. Right now it's to reach 25lbs lost. And from there it'll be to hit 35lbs lost - my halfway point. And from there it'll be 15lbs more lost, because that will put me in ONEDERLAND. The small goals are so much easier. Whenever I sit back and think wow, I want to lose 100lbs total, I get…

Wait, let me pull out my cheat sheet for judging people. I don't go anywhere without it, it shows me exactly how I should value a person based on attributes that are all assigned a weight in the algorithm in conjunction with how much I value that particular attribute. How people get by without one of these, I'll never know.

How's your sodium intake? You could just be retaining water weight. I notice on days after I've had a salty day or two days, my weight won't go down. Few days later after some cleaner eating, it drops.

I weigh myself every morning. It works for me! The scale not moving after a good day is motivation to do better this day because I know I'm almost there. But also it has made me more aware of my macros. Sodium, for instance. I know the scale will be higher after a sodium-heavy day, or when my cycle is about to begin. It's…

I have the same problem but in the morning. I want to eat all my food in the morning when I'm at work. I've relied on clementines - I eat between 2-4 a day whenever I feel like snacking. I go through a huge bag of those things in a week. It's low enough in calories that I don't feel all that bad (eating 4-5 puts me in the…

Drink what you want, just make sure you work it off or save enough calories for it. I drink mostly unsweetened ice tea and seltzer - it's just as refreshing as soda without being too sweet. We also make a pitcher of ice coffee at home to have every morning. As a side note, I notice I feel my alcohol a LOT easier and sooner…

Then your sister (and your friend) are very lucky to have you. If more people went about it like this, not only would society take a huge step in the right direction on the 'manners' scale, but I think you'd find overweight people slimming down a lot easier and keeping it off a lot longer.

I try to keep my hands busy. Folding laundry or mopping (somehow those things always need to be done!) If the desire gets too strong, I go for a walk - without my wallet. No matter how much I want it then, it's out of reach. Usually working out (read: walking) decreases my appetite for awhile, but that's just me. Best of…

My fiance and I are having some trouble striking a balance. I count calories via MFP, he just wings it. And he's lost almost as much as me (but I'm still winning mwhahaha!) That balance is a pain though. All the veg I like he hates, and the other way around. But we want to be able to enjoy our meals, so a lot of times…
