I'd assume her happiness comes less from being fat, but rather it likely comes from coming to terms with her body. Fat or thin, that's something not everybody does in their lifetimes. And if you can come to terms with your body then yes, I imagine she is happy being fat because she's fat and alive, fat and full of life,…

Meg from Virginia. I used MFP to lose 50lbs ahead of my wedding last October. I'm about 30-40lbs from my all-time goal, so I'm trying to shake the rest off. I hate being in the gym, however, so I've done all my weight loss by walking. Walking to and from work, walking during my lunch break, walking the dog in the evenings.…

Have you looked into cashew milk? We drink cashew milk and there is a chocolate version, though I've never checked the calories in it.

Seltzer. We have a soda stream and drink almost exclusively seltzer. Nice refreshing bubbles with no calories!

I'll be eagerly watching for these words of encouragement. Alcohol slays me.

It's been such a pleasure watching you on my feed as you went through this. You have been MY inspiration more times than I can say!
-
Yeah if the portions are smaller I'll be okay. I tried to guesstimate for smaller plates, because I figure that's what this will be too. As for the alcohol, I know myself enough to know that I'll have some, and enjoy it, and have more, and before you know I'm tipsy and happy, but then I make really bad decisions. Usually…

All the yes.

Smarts. God help me if I ended up with someone who couldn't hold an intelligent or intellectual conversation. Luckily that's just what I found! Sexy, sexy brains.

Not a short person here but I'm rather fond of this method. I take MFP's 1200 calories and then I burn 600 a day, eat back usually 100-300 and call it good. Granted, I don't STAY on 1200 calories. I alternate - one month 1200, the next month 1500. I really don't recommend going right down to 1200 calories to start, even…

And you too! You and I are in almost the same boat - 100lbs to shed, I'm at 55lbs down. I maintained through the holidays, and after New Years I feel confident I will continue down the path. I did check out the 'Success Stories' page for the first time in awhile today and I was sooo motivated. I think on January 2 I'm…

My fiance is the same way. Not that he's not supportive, he's very supportive and he's lost about 30lbs too. But he HATES veg while I am trying hard to stay away from empty calories (rice) which he loves. Basically when we cook, we make the grains separate. He'll usually put rice in with his curry, for example, where I'll…

Support here! Honestly I just reread some of the success stories and it got me going like nobody's business. Maybe the people around you have their heads in the sand but there are more of us out there who are proud of what you're doing.

Nope! Just walking and lowering my calories. A lot of people on this site won't agree with me because I alternate between 1200 and 1500 calories. Most people (rightly) argue that 1200 is too low. I certainly didn't go from eating whatever I wanted to 1200 overnight. I went to eating 1600 for a few months, until my first…

I hate both lifestyle and diet. What word should I use though?!

I've lost 55lbs, would like to lose another 55lbs. I haven't been good about logging around the holidays but now I'm back baby! I'm doing most of my weight loss with almost no gym time. I've been to the gym maybe ... 3 times in the past year? I just hate the gym. For me it's all walking and watching what I eat.

Hey ladies I thought I would check in here. Since I started in April 2014 I've lost 55lbs, with another 55lbs ideally to go. Likely going to go dress shopping in March, which will have me down 70lbs of my overall 110lbs goal. October 2015 here I come! How's everyone else doing?

I'm having something similar! Got engaged in February at 250lbs and a size ... 7? I want to say 7. Anyway I now have the largest-available ring noodle on, because this gorgeous ring only fits on my middle finger or thumb! Can't wait to get it resized, but only halfway done with my weight loss so I'm not sure when I should…

I'll likely end up getting a lift after we have all our kids. But mine were always super heavy and the weight loss has just compounded upon that.
-
HA. You thought people were against you before you posted this. Just wait, my dear. Just wait.

Why are you trying to make him get skinny for you? Why don't you get fat for him? In all seriousness though I'd recommend what another poster said - don't nag him for his weight, try to encourage him into a healthier lifestyle. Go for walks, go for a hike, go biking - ask him to participate in these things that will…

I do what I call my 'protein wrap' almost every day: Low Calorie Wheat Wrap 1 Tablespoon Crunchy Peanut Butter 1 Tablespoon Nutella It's very small but filling, low in calories and most importantly for me it is also low in sodium. I usually bring a little snack bag of pop chips and an apple or something to go with it.

Absolutely not. As someone fat my entire life, I had to do years of work just to convince myself that I was worthy of sharing this planet with other people. Every time a stranger, family member, or friend would point out what a fat failure I was, it wasn't about the fat - it was about ME. You never hear these insults being…

At 250lbs MFP gave me 1400 calories to lose 2lbs per week. I walk everywhere, usually about 5 miles a day and I would eat back these workouts. As I lost weight, MFP would recalculate my calories until I hit 1200 a day. I said 'F that noise' and went about what I'd been doing previously. Worked great for about 40lbs, and…

I walk roughly 5-15 miles per day, depending on time. I walk 30 minutes to work, an hour at lunch, 30 minutes home, and some walking in the evening too. I'm hoping I can ride this all the way to my goal weight, as I hate traditional 'workouts' - they bore me to tears. SW: 250lbs in April 2014 CW: 203lbs GW: 140lbs
-
I want to lose, in a perfect world, 110lbs. I'm at 47lbs down currently.
-
I'm in the same boat - I was on about 1500 + workout and I stalled after about 40lbs. So I dropped it down to 1200 flat and the weight started falling off again. I wish I could eat more and still lose, but I won't! :(
-
I'm down 47lbs, from 250lbs to 203lbs. My goal is 140lbs - seeing so many others manage this inspires me to go forward! I want to see what I look like at a healthy weight. I wonder if I'll even recognize myself.
-
I started doing 10,000 a day. Now I do about 15,000 a day. I've been to the gym twice since I started dieting - walking is the only workout I do. If my ticker would show up it would show I've lost 45lbs. So walking is going well for me.
