I think it's just the body not wanting to let go of any more weight. I've heard that when you get to a weight you were at for a long time your body "likes" that weight and tries like crazy to hold onto it. I was in the 150's for about 5 yrs. after college but I don't intend on staying in them! I just gotta find a way to…

I'm chewing on Trident layers gum right now to stop myself from snacking. It helps b/c it keeps my mouth busy and it tastes sweet. The Extra dessert delights gums are all awesome too! Or if you do have to have a snack have a chocolate peanut butter fiber one bar, filling and only 90 calories. I also like the special k 90…

My starting weight for July is 155. The scale is pretty slow moving right now so I won't set too high of a weight loss goal...I would love to lose at least 3 lbs. though! I will take my measurements tomorrow morning...I haven't taken them for a few weeks so I am hoping to see some inches gone since I have started a new…

Well lately I've been on a cereal kick at night...I figure if I have the calories and carbs, etc...for it why not? It's what I used to eat b/4 bed when I was a kid. I love the Kelloggs Chocolate Crave cereal. It has protein, fiber, whole grains and real chocolate and it's so good! I usually have it around 9 and go to bed…

Try to chose the healthier options some of the days. Grilled chicken is always a good choice. I'm sure you will be tempted so why not allow yourself a couple "cheat meals" so you have those to look forward to on the other days that you are being good. Another idea is to when ordering something ask the waiter to only bring…

I just did 15 walk out push-ups (on toes too). Anyone who's done Jillian will know what a walk-out push up is...harder and it burns more calories. I'm going to start doing 15 a day...then gradually increase them to up to 30 a day. Thanks for this challenge...it's just the extra kick I needed! Today I did a 30 min.…

Wow!! I've lost 12 of those!! Thanks for posting...that's disgusting but an eye opener to what I DON'T want in my body anymore!!

If your BMR is 1760 you should be consuming more than 1360. I have read that you should eat closer to your BMR and you will still lose weight. If I were you I would try at least 1500 calories for awhile and see if the scale starts to move. Eating more to lose weight sounds crazy but it does work. I have mine set at 1500…

Hello everyone! I'm Kim also. Thanks for starting this group Kim!! It seems like it will be an awesome group! Well a little about me. My heaviest weight was 250 when I was 9 months preggers w/ my 1st born. After I had her I lost some of the baby weight but was still hovering around 200 lbs. for a couple years. Then…

5 things I love about me~ 1. I love that I am staying motivated to lose weight to become the healthier and happier me that I am meant to be! I am determined to get to goal weight and STAY there for life! 2. I love that I am super honest and always speak my mind. (Sometimes my hubby doesn't love this but he is used…

Very true!! Love your thinking....it's definitely a lifestyle change not a diet! I hate to think that I will have to log my food forever but if I don't want to put the weight back on it's best to stay mindful of what I'm eating and how many calories are in them.

I'm not sure how it got started but people just say bump when they want to save the thread to their page to read later. I personally think it's strange and why not just say a quick statement about it to get it on your page? But that's just me...

Very nice snack ideas!! I love that they are so low cal but sound so delicious!!

I have 20 more lbs. to lose b/4 reaching my goal weight and I would love to be at goal by Thanksgiving. The weight loss has definitely slowed down the closer I get to my goal. My workout routine…

I've heard that you should change up the foods that you eat. If you're always eating chicken, eat fish or lean hamburger some days. Try foods you have never ate or ones you rarely eat. I've noticed that it does work to help w/ weight loss. I think it has something to do w/ how your body responds differently to the new…

Thanks! Good luck to you!! WE WILL break our darn plateaus.... I just KNOW it!!!

I just used that same calculator to get my TDEE. I was reading in the forums about TDEE and was interested to see what mine was. It said mine was 2,254 so if I subtract 500 calories I should be eating 1,754 a day? That just seems like way too much and then what about exercise calories? I just changed my calorie goal to…

I'm 5'4 and my starting weight was 215 (biggest ever, except for when I was pregnant my highest weight was 250 with my daughter and 235 w/ my son.) My current weight is 156 and my goal weight is 135. 21 more lbs. and I will weigh what I did in high school!!

I bet the new jogging routine will help shake things up a bit and get the scale moving. I've heard to try new workouts to break a plateau. You don't want to do the same type of exercise every day or the body gets too used to it. I've also heard to try new types of healthy foods...if you always eat chicken, then try eating…

It's good to have a rest day once a week at least anyway...(sometimes I take 2 rest days a week.) It's good to listen to your body...if something is hurting it's best to take it easy or you can cause more damage.
