Is it an option to get permission to bring your bike inside so you're not fiddling with locks in the dark? Most places would probably be ok with that if you mention safety.

"Army girl" as in you're in the Army? Or as in you're the daughter of someone in the Army? 'Cause as an Army wife, I know that PT test scores are pretty motivating if you're in the service. ;) Either way, feel free to add me... if you don't mind that I'm mostly just a giant geek and mom who sometimes talks about Army life…

I just go through a five-day migraine. I get them once every three months, almost like clockwork, and I have no idea what triggers them. I do get lots of headaches in between, and I have a neurologist appointment coming up to try to get to the root of the problem, so that's something. I take Treximet when it starts, which…

My NJ license doesn't have my weight on it. O_o I need a new one though, since I moved. Sigh. I suppose SD probably lists the weight.

Sounds like you need new friends, hun. If you're comfortable how you are, stay this way. If not, make a change - but do it the healthy way. Read up on the sticky posts here, manage your intake, get more exercise, and don't feel bad if you eat what you love sometimes, as long as you fit it into your goals. Food is not the…

You had me at "cosplay." I collect geeks on here - you're welcome to add me!

I'm 5'4, 132 lbs. I still have a baby pooch, though I don't have a lot of fat altogether. Sometimes we just learn to live with a little extra. As you lose weight, it gets smaller and less noticeable. Just keep going. :) I live in hope that if I ever hit my goal of 125, it'll sort of disappear. But I'm not holding my breath.

I don't have a lot to add that other haven't, but I've had major recurring depression since I was 11. Over the years I've been on just about every antidepressant out there, and hated what they did to me. Finally after a suicide attempt from a medication now listed as an allergy to me, my doctor suggested I try some natural…

Any martial art will give you skills for self defense, and if you train daily any will help you get in shape. The style you choose is all about personal preference. Do you want to build speed and agility? Taekwondo is all about that. Do you want to learn moves that promote strength and precision? Judo or karate are…

The best advice I have is something a friend told me when she tried to quit smoking - find something else to fill that spot. Feel like eating? Do some pushups. Get involved in something you love to distract you. Go for a walk. (Well, once it warms up. It's a bit cold in a large portion of the country right now.) Get away…

I felt like they were trying to capitalize on him. There was only supposed to be one more, and then suddenly there were two... and maybe it was all in my head, but it never felt quite the same.

Sigh, no, if he dies, it'll be Robert Jordan all over again.

Huge Who geek! Well, actually, a huge geek in general. Gamer (right now Rift, though I have experience with almost all the MMOs,) avid book worm (Orson Scott Card, Tamora Pierce, Mercedes Lackey, etc) SciFi/Fantasy movie enthusiast... And the Holy Trinity of SuperWhoLock, of course. All geeks welcome to add me! :D

You'll lose some places sooner than others. For me, I'm a martial artist, which means I have very large, strong thighs. I haven't lost a single inch there, but I've lost inches everywhere else. Every body is different, and loses from different places at different speeds. Just keep going.

To add an image to a post, type [ img ] (without the spaces,) followed by the image URL, and closed with [ /img ] But if you want to add an image to your status update, I don't believe there's a way to do it. Yet. And I don't believe the code works in any of your profile fields.

I get where they were trying to go with Clara. She was supposed to be the first companion who could give him a run for his money in intelligence. But the issue with that is, the whole premise of the show is that the Doctor is smarter than everyone around him. That's why he can save the world time and again. When you throw…

Taekwondo, Karate, and Kendo here. :) Well, not right now - I moved - again - and haven't found a new dojo/dojang yet. But I've been training for 11 years! It's definitely the key to my health, helping me recover from surgery, giving birth, and countless episodes of major depression. I can't wait until I can afford to…
