  • And let's face it - the Jedi had some serious issues. And that whole not-allowed-to-love thing? Yeah, no. I'll be a gray Jedi, if anything.
  • Come to the Dark Side - we eat cookies. And look way cooler, tbh.
  • And now for an interl-OOD. ((Get it?!))
  • The best little shopping town is Old Colorado Springs. At the end of each summer they have a street fair - it's probably over now, but it's worth keeping in mind. But that was my favorite little place to walk around.
  • I never actually used the gyms on base, to be honest. While we were stationed there I trained in TKD at US Taekwondo Center, down on Academy, so I got my workouts in that way. All the soldiers in the base gym intimidated me back in those days. It wouldn't bother me NOW, but back then I didn't know the first thing about gym…
  • Normally I'd agree to forget, but then we'd lose what is possibly the best Doctor Who quote ever:
  • :) We don't live there anymore, but Ft. Carson is where my husband and I started out, ten years ago. 3/61 CAV. Now he's a recruiter and we live out in SD, (because he didn't want to deploy after we had our daughter,) but Carson was a nice base with a good community around it. If you don't mind that I'm not there anymore,…
  • The thing is, even though it's sad, it's also one of the... not happiest, but perhaps most hopeful of the episodes. It ends on a good note, with friends, and hope. You can't say that for a lot of Doctor Who episodes. Now, if you want a WEIRD episode, of course we all go to "Love and Monsters."
  • Don't even get me started on that one. As someone with very severe depression, it leaves me a complete mess. But I love it. So much.
  • **"POTENTIAL SPOILERS "** Rumor says it's going to be a "Christmas Carol" type story... And that's where Tennant comes in, too. (Christmas past.)
  • Oh gosh, if you think Clara is bad, at least they didn't change the whole opening sequence to make the story about her. *cough*Amy*cough* Though I love Amy, so don't get me wrong. And YES, the Doctor playing the guitar was one of the best things ever. "You said you wanted an Axe battle!" Cheesy, but I laughed anyway.
  • I'm super happy to find all these Donna fans. :) So many people disliked her, and I think it's a shame. Granted, I just love Catherine Tate, so that may have something to do with it. Y'all ready for tonight?!
  • I have played it and it is AMAZING. And super simple to learn.
  • As a companion? Or just in general? Because I'm up for either, personally...
  • All I want from our next companion is that they have as good character development as Mickey. Because that character underwent a transformation that tops probably anyone else, ever. From doormat to bada**.
  • Haha, I feel the same. HOWEVER, I liked Rose with Eccleston far more than with Tennant, especially at first. After she came back from Pete's dimension I felt they had better chemistry and story, but at the start of Tennant, I felt like that story line was dragging him down and I couldn't wait for her to leave.
  • Loved Donna, but mostly because SOMEONE needed to sass Tennant around a bit after the whole Martha thing. And while I think Martha was a great character, I feel like she got the short end of the stick when it came to plots. They never used her properly, and I think her final episode sort of pointed that out. She could have…
  • XD Which part?! I'm just full of Doctor Who blasphemy, though. I think it comes from watching the NuWho all over the span of about three months - I saw it all together as one long stream and came to some rather unpopular opinions.
  • Eccleston made a fantastic Doctor, and is my favorite ever. But I have to disagree about Tennant - I think he's a great actor. People generally go for - or get cast in - roles similar to things they've done before. I complain about it all the time, how you watch movies with certain actors and you're so distracted because…
  • Oh thank goodness, I was afraid for a moment that everyone was just going to forget Eccleston, who is currently my all-time favorite Doctor. (Though depending on this season, Capaldi may yet manage to take that title.) Tennant was great, Matt was... well, he was a good actor, even if I wasn't fond of his Doctor. And…
  • I love Capaldi and I'm excited to see more of his character in better development, but gosh dang I wish Jenna had left last season. I really dislike they way they work together and I feel like it's a Tennant situation - Capaldi can't shine until he gets a companion suited to HIM, the way Rose had to leave before Tennant…
  • MY PEOPLE! <3 <3 (Feel free to add me, one and all.)
  • That's definitely one of my main inspirations as well. One day I want to feel comfortable donning a Black Widow catsuit...
  • As my Sensei often tells me, "There is no gender in karate." I'm one of only a few females. I'm often the only higher-ranking female. I spar men. No big deal. I don't even think about it. If you're thinking about the gender of your opponent and adjusting your style to fit a perceived stereotype, your mind is in the wrong…
  • :o I'm a long-time Star Wars geek. And geek of a lot of other things, Doctor Who being my "main" thing, but Star Wars is definitely in the long list. But anyway... welcome! If you're after geekiness, you're welcome to add me. :) As a fair warning, however, I don't eat clean, I don't do a LOT of commenting unless we're…
  • Ok. So. As the wife of an Army recruiter, let me begin by saying that a goal given by a recruiter is just that - a goal. Something to aim for. You don't have to hit it right then - more likely he was giving you a reasonable time frame to lose the weight. If you don't have it off that day, he'll work with you when you're…
  • **hugs** I've had major recurring depression since I was a child, so I know the struggle. It contributed to my own weight gain time and again, and there have been weeks where I couldn't even get out of bed. The best thing I ever did was ask my husband to force me to do some form of exercise whenever I tried to lock myself…
