I am a 44 year old female who was around 55 pounds overweight. I lost 45 pounds since May 27, 2013 by following the calorie targets MFP gives me and exercising. Consistency and accuracy are the keys to successful weight loss. Log as accurately as you can every day. It becomes second nature. My weight loss was around 1.5 to…

Log what you eat consistently and as accurately as possible. Do not just trust the first item that pops up...do some research and find out what you are really eating. Do not trust all of the exercise calorie amounts given by MFP, as they can be too high. You can search the internet for calorie burn estimates or use a heart…

Cut back 100-200 calories every day this week (or exercise more without using the calories) and "bank" them for your dinners. Make your week balance out instead of just every day. Order what you want (within reason), but only eat half, saving the rest for a few lunches during the week. The gym isn't the only place to get…

Hope they would read on to realize that going through all that mess maybe.....maybe lost 1 pound. Probably after a week will fluctuate more.

I had a nightmare the night after my procedure that this happened....I could not imagine having it happen for real! I would have been furious! I probably would have thrown a fit and told them to find me a doctor who would do it now.

Going low fiber for a few days before helped out with the prep day. I was happy I took that advice! I couldn't imagine going through THAT with a lot of high fiber stuff to flush out. I went to this website here Also....no need to fear! Easy peasy.

First time back at the computer....everything went smoothly, even the poo part. One polyp removed, so I'll probably be on the 5 year plan from what the doctor told me. Weighed myself out of curiosity. Lost 4.5 pounds doing the "prep". Think I may have lost a pound in reality. Everyone should have this done. The day/night…

Thanks to everyone so much for the advice, and especially for the laughs!! No food day is going pretty well. About an hour away from toilet blast off.... Thanks again!!!!
-
No internet at home, only here at work, so I will not be typing while eliminating!!

The friends who are losing that quickly (probably mostly water anyway) will eventually stall out. Might even see a slight uptick while their bodies adjust. Slow and steady is better for the long run. You will get there. Keep up the good work!

You know I will! I only wish the weight loss were real! It would probably put me under goal.

My brother had cancerous polyps removed at age 50, so I became eligible early (age 44) to get one. I don't understand why anyone would want to wait....why risk being able to cure it by waiting?

Thanks for the laugh! And I will probably laugh every time I feel a fart coming on for the rest of my life! That is too funny...cause it will be true!!

Preponix? Something like that. Supposed to be an easier flusher from what I've read. So sorry about losing part of your colon. Hope you are recovering well.

Thanks for the reassurance on not being so hungry. It's silly that I'm worried about it, but I've been working hard for a long time to lose the weight. I'm 3 pounds away from my goal. Figure I might see the goal artificially with the "cleanse".

Eww...think I'll pass on that. Someone said to write some funny joke on my butt for the doctor to get a good laugh. Think I'm passing on that too!!

I added some back (200-300) when I donated, because I always feel a little drained the day I give and feel the need to eat more. What I find funny is how my weight will fluctuate in the days after I donate....down 1/2 to 1 pound from the initial donation, and then up a 3-4 pounds for about a week. I assume my body retains…

I think I have seen that...is it within your diary itself, right below the entry you just made? If so, it doesn't mean you have 450 more calories, it means you have 450 calories left for the day after eating that entry.

If you were losing weight and happy at 1440, that's where I would stay unless the workouts make you hungry (then add back exercise calories). If you are eating at 1440 and not losing, then I would tweak down until I hit a number I lose at. I could NEVER eat only 1200 unless I were sick or something!! I would be miserable;…

From what I have seen, at your age if you are under 141 you are a healthy weight. I would listen to my body. Discuss the low energy and headaches with your doctor. I also agree with SueInAZ. Lifting weights might be the answer to losing inches.

I am not a psychic, but I can tell you your future: You will have more days just like this one as you try to lose weight. Expect it. Plan on it. Recover from it. (Oh...and NEVER, EVER stress this bad over 268 calories again!!! You could make that up by being under your goal by 44 calories each day the rest of the week.)…

How tall are you? Maybe 129 is too low for you....headaches and extreme hunger might be your body's way of telling you enough is enough.

Very frustrating, but worth the effort if it is a recipe you will be using repeatedly. I liked the old recipe builder better. The new cut and paste/URL never gets the ingredients right, and sometimes doesn't edit correctly...watch out for that. One of my recipes would have been 100s of calories short per serving if I…

First, your boyfriend should not be the deciding factor in what you eat, period. Either he is a controlling jerk, or you are using him as a convenient excuse to overindulge. Nip whichever it is in the bud ASAP. ;) Second, if you want to eat more on the weekends you can always shave a few calories Monday-Friday and save…

I also love sugar. For me, the more I eat it, the more I want it. I am learned to control this and you can too. At the suggestion of my doctor, I started out by eating only lean proteins, veggies, yogurt, limited amounts of low GI fruit, etc. for a short time (about a week). It was tough for the first few days, but it…

You have to do what I did....finally grow up and realize that you cannot shove anything and everything you want into your mouth. You are just starting to face the consequences of years of doing just that. I too had the almost there diabetes numbers a couple years ago. Took me a while to finally get it together and stop the…

Any chance you would be willing to swap the fried eggs for hard boiled? That would save some calories for snacks. I definitely think planned snacks between breakfast and lunch would help you. My two favorite snacks are pistachios or almonds with fruit and cheese, and yogurt with fruit. Both can be under 200 calories,…

First, don't let what someone else says (even family) determine your self worth. Second, if she is surviving on a bag of chips a day, the woman is going to be cranky and rude. Expect it when talking to her in the future.

If you are going to have a cheat day, absolutely log it (and I would also recommend not straying too far above your calorie limit...you would not want one day to ruin any progress you made). 1200 calories can be too low for many people, especially if you are exercising. Do you add in any extra calories for the exercise you…
