http://nomnompaleo.com/post/4807547385/slow-cooker-roast-chicken-and-gravy She also does a kalua pork in the slow cooker that is really good. I make pepperoncini beef a lot. 2.5-3 lb chuck roast, 16 oz jar of pepperoncini peppers, cook on low for 8-12 hours, served on baked sweet potatoes with ghee or coconut oil. It's…

The last time I weighed and measured, which was 2 weeks ago, I had gained a pound and a half, but I lost 10 inches and 3% body fat. I'll take it! I'll be weighing and measuring again at the end of month 2. It is a lot more of a struggle to get through the workouts, but I love it. I feel SO accomplished at the end of a…

Starting week 2 of month 2 today! So far, Max Interval Plyo is my favorite workout this month, and I can't stand Max Interval Circuit. And I have a really hard time taking Shaun T seriously in Max Recovery in those tights. LOL. It's going well for me, but I was SO ready for my rest day yesterday. My husband has been…

I have to agree with adjoa84. Ease your way back into it. Did you do any exercise on your vacation? I'd be wary of jumping right back into where you were if you hadn't been doing any high intensity exercise. I would repeat week 4, see how you feel, and then continue with the schedule if you feel up to it.

Well, I dd it! I did NOT think I was going to get through it, but I did! Funny how you kind of forget how hard just the warmup can be after the glorious Core Cardio and Balance (which is my favorite of the DVDs so far). Those floor switch kicks are killer!

I hope it's okay that I join your group! I don't usually post in the forums anymore, but I think I'm going to need some serious support in the next month, and I hope I can support you ladies too! I'm starting month 2 today. Eek! I'm a little terrified! I am seeing some serious results though. I lost 10 inches in the first…

Red or green peppers, cut in half and seeded.

When I started running, I was a G cup. I ordered the 7 wonders bra from titlenine.com and it's fantastic. It was pricey (about $60) but totally worth it. I've had it for more than a year and it still looks brand new! My advice would be to spend some cash on a SERIOUS bra or you'll be in so much pain. The Last Resort bra…

I've been really big on Larabars. They taste great, are filling, and have less than 9 ingredients that are things I can pronounce! They're a little pricey, but a good option for this kind of thing.

Thanks for all the responses! To be fair, he only thinks it's for girls because the people we know who do it are my mom and her friends. That's how we found the gym, the trainers broke off from my mom's gym and started their own. So I would trust the trainers to be aware of fitness level and to scale things down if they…

If you're looking for a decent, quick lunch, my husband has just started taking a Larabar and a piece of fruit and says that keeps him full. It's not a ton of calories or even a proper meal, but it's healthier than fast food and he says it keeps him full until dinner. Hope that helps a little!

I'm seeing some grilled veggies, fajitas, watermelon, and buffalo burgers are pretty good too! Veggie burgers, salad, Corn on the cob, etc. There are some healthy options, but have fun! And I know when I'm drinking, a lot of my food sense goes out the window. Good luck, and have a great time. I'm so jealous!

It's a 9 week "learn to run" program, using interval training. I had started it a few times before, and never stuck it out, but this time I really embraced it and now I love to run. Well, I love the feeling I get after I run. Actually running is kind of a mind game I play with myself. Every five minutes I want to give up,…

Me! Me! I just started back on MFP this week, though I've been exercising on my own for years. I am on week 8 of C25K, but today instead of 28 minutes, I did a full 30! I was so proud of myself! Granted, it was only about 2 1/4 miles, because I run very slow, but I was pretty proud of myself for sticking it out. I…

And make sure you let us know how you did!

DO IT!!! You will more than likely not be the last, and really, for your first 5K you should be more concerned with just finishing. Then you'll have a baseline speed to beat. Go, have a fun time, get your tshirt, and wear it with pride! Races can get pretty addicting, you might just love it!

Exercise, watch makeup videos on YouTube (SUCH a guilty pleasure for me), brush my teeth, online window shop. The online window shopping is particularly successful for me because I look at all the things I would love to be able to wear but I'm not comfortable in right now. Makes me want to stick to my plan.

I have a great mother-in-law who comes by every Monday and Wednesday so I can go to the gym and lift, my hubby is off on Fridays so he watches the boys while I go to the gym. Tuesday and Thursday I get up at 4am to run, and Saturday my husband watches the boys again so I can run. I also hula hoop while the kids nap, or in…

It doesn't bother me too much, because if I work out in the afternoon or evening and have been wearing makeup I don't take it off, but what really really bugs me at the gym is when women wear super strong perfume. And, living where I do, this happens a lot. I've had to cut my runs short because I got headaches and the…

My husband is in a band, so I am on my own a lot of evenings too. This is what has worked for me: hula hooping! I have always wanted to be able to hula hoop, but haven't ever been able to keep the hoop up. So now, when I'm feeling snacky and bored, I pull out the hula hoop I bought and just watch TV and practice. I pick a…

I'm on week 7 of C25K right now, and I started as a total beginner. So my treadmill speeds are very slow. I run at 4.0, but I find that I don't have a problem maintaining that speed and I still feel challenged to finish my runs. I had started C25K before and tried to run too fast, and all it did was help me injure myself…

I know there are some products out there for chafing. Try googling Body Glide or Lanacane Anti-Chafing Gel. I'm pretty sure if you exacerbate it it will just keep coming back, but something like Body Glide should help in the future.

First, never never never weigh right after a workout. I always weigh more after a workout. If you have to weigh every day, only do it in the morning, after you've gone to the bathroom. That's when you're the lightest, and you can gain as much as 7 or 8 pounds a day, just in food, water, etc. being in your stomach. Also, is…

It's just a little break in my Left pinky toe. I don't know exactly which bone or anything. They taped it to the toe next to it, and sent me on my merry way in my flip flops.

If you hate it, you absolutely don't have to do it. As long as you're moving, you're doing great! Walking can be a great way to exercise.

That would be really cute! I have two boys, and we seriously considered naming one of them Edgar or Allan, but decided against it. My brother in law goes by Poe. He's really short and dark complected, so it works for him.
-
I grew up on The Raven. My dad used to read it to me, so I like it for sentimental reasons. And, not surprisingly, when I got married, I married a man whose last name is Poe! How very gothic of me.

I signed up for a gym and have to stay for at least a year, because it's in the contract. There's a huge fee to cancel the contract, and we have the money taken out of our checking account every month. That helps me get motivated to get there. Now, once I'm there, that's a different story. I've tried to find a way to make…

When studying or eating, could you sit on an exercise ball? I'll try to think of more, but that's the first thing that popped into my head.

I have this problem with canned veggie broth too. Have you tried making your own? If you take one Saturday to do it, you can fill up your freezer with it, and this way you know exactly what's in it. This is the recipe that I use: * 1 onion, chopped * 1 carrot, chopped * 2 stalks celery, chopped * 1 potato, chopped…
