I'm just about at your starting weight now (161 lbs) having come down from 191 lbs. You look amazing at 134 lbs. Inspiring stuff, thank you.

You've changed immensely - your face is unrecognisable!

Double post, sorry.

I have just broken a month-long plateau. I was eating 1200 calories a day (I have about 30 lbs left to lose), about a week and a half ago I increased that to 1300. Not by much, but it seems to have made a difference and I've dropped 2 pounds this morning. I know you SAY you won't eat 1500 a day with only 15 lbs left to…

Congratulations on the measurements, and I am always pleased when I feel hungry because I believe appetite increases when metabolism increases (I may be wrong on this though!). :) Today I lost another 1.25 pounds, bringing me to 2 pounds lost overall this month so far. Four pounds left!

Anti-depressants don't alter your metabolism, only your appetite. So it is perfectly possible to resist the food and lose weight.

I haven't had personal experience, but would it help to lubricate those areas before you work out with vaseline or something? That might stop rubbing and prevent further rashes. I did this with my inner thighs. Really sorry to hear you're having trouble with loose skin but at the same time it IS a mark of your success!

Well done. That's a very good waist/hip ratio you've got there.

HRM overestimates calories burned by strength training however. See http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/Azdak/view/hrms-cannot-count-calories-during-strength-training-17698

I subtract out my maintenance calories (since the alternative to an hour of exercise is doing daily things, not lying in bed for an hour - which would mean BMR). I don't want to overestimate my calories after all.

I don't know much about the corn situation in the US. I just want to clear up that it is not genetic modification itself which is the problem, but the way it is handled with patents which is obscene. Genetic modification does not involve unnatural chemicals (often peoples' concern). Here's to hoping some other company…

I hope you stick with it. You look great - such a difference. I hope you're doing it for yourself and not for your mum!

I burn an average of 180 calories with a weight of 161 lbs and a height of 5"4 - 5"5.

You look visibly younger! Those are great photos - thanks for sharing.

What race length is it? Running? Hope it goes (/went) well!
-
Your neck's looking much better too. Thanks for sharing!

Right. I *may* have broken my plateau - finally! I have gone down 0.75 lbs since the beginning of May. It's a really good feeling. Hope it continues! I ran for 25 mins without stopping today, which is a new personal best. I covered 3.2 km and burned about 260 calories. Having increased the exercise recently seems to be…

I'm not a doctor, but I can't imagine a doctor sending you off for an x-ray if you feel like you've pulled a muscle... you haven't broken a bone! Instead they may give you steroid injections to aid the swelling and remove the pain (works surprisingly well!) and/or send you for physiotherapy. Hope things turn out OK. I…

I can't wait for an answer. *sprints downstairs to find out for herself*

Did the instant granules dissolve or stay crunchy?

About a week ago I upped my calories from 1200 to 1300 net. You can't even tell :( Mine is so uneven and often below where I should be. No wonder I'm on a plateau. Edit: Changed the graph so it's fully visible.

Yes - at the beginning. As I get used to the diet my stomach shrinks and I rarely get hungry now. When I'm hungry it is usually time to eat anyway. The hunger won't last forever in most people.
-
I'm with you - got to get out of this plateau! My goals are: 1. Get out of this plateau I've fallen into, and come out of it gradually and steadily. 2. Complete the C25K programme by the end of May and learn how to run for 5K. 3. Achieve my fitness goals on MFP, that is five 45-minute workouts a week to a total of 2000…

My jeans have been ruined, patched up and re-ruined from this problem. Glad to know you're getting out of this issue!

Hello there! I'm 21, live in the UK and (did) have at least 60 lbs to lose, although I'm half way through that now. :) Feel free to send me a friend request and we can grace each others' timelines. Also let me know if you're the kind of person who wants 'always friendly encouragement' or 'tough love'. Good luck with your…

Agree with other people Also, just think about that 6 lb gain. To gain 6 lbs of *fat*, you would need to eat 6 x 3500 = 21000 calories. Something tells me the barbecues were not THAT big. It'll fall off soon I'm sure.

I can still see your posts, but when I go to your profile MFP says you've deactivated it.

Feel free to block me to find out. Would appreciate being unblocked when you've found out the answer so you can tell me.

*hand waves* Here's another advocate of the C25K program. It's good!

These are all excellent points, thanks for sharing them!
