With you on the wrist-wrapping. I have noticed my right wrist is thicker than my left wrist, but it's probably more well-built because I'm right handed. It's not a WEIRD habit, but I keep crossing my legs without thinking, which always surprises me because that was impossible 10 months ago. When it comes to estimating…

Such good progress and hope you keep up the 3 miles daily. If you haven't already, maybe work on getting faster! Then going up to 3.5 miles a day or 4! (Just a thought.) (Don't worry, girls will still talk to you, it's probably just a momentary dip due to random fluctuation. You look great, there's no reason why being a…

I'm interested in having a prehensile fox tail like sexygenius, but I'm not sure I would want to bother with brushing it in the morning. Imagine how tangled it would get. Mine would be either a deep purple or bold red. Assuming it's an effective counterbalance (we obviously don't need it because we stand upright, but let's…

Calories in minus calories out must be negative. Why do I do this? I, like the universe and all things within it, am no exception to the 1st law of thermodynamics (consult your local physic or bioenergetics textbook!). Energy can be converted from one form into another, but not created nor destroyed.

When you stop for a walk, go to the side of the course before you slow down and make sure nobody's behind you who will crash into you. :)

ABILIFY is CRAP and EVIL and I hate it with a vengeance for losing me a year of my life. RAGE!

How far do you go when you did your 90 minute run a few days ago?
-
Wikipedia explains it very well actually, with various diagrams - i.e. it depends on your body shape. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waist%E2%80%93hip_ratio

I think before/after pictures are meant to be of the same person actually  I jest, I just think you look phenomenally different. Congrats on the weight loss. You've got a hang of how to do this so now it's easy sailing. Good luck for the final 40 lbs :)

You MUST have your gait analysed - you don't want to buy a neutral shoe if you aren't a neutral runner (you can read up on shoe types online). There are plenty of running stores around even small cities. e.g. Up & Running, Runner's Need (though I'm not sure if that's a chain)... plenty of places to get fitted. Good luck!…

C25K - listened to music. Now I don't. Partly because of the safety issues in the middle of London. Partly because I prefer taking in the surroundings rather than being in my own world during a run. Partly because I only listen to classical music and it varies too much in tempo and mood within one piece to be suitable for…

Newer SSRIs (of which citalopram is one) have fewer side effects and generally weight gain is not something major on the list. At least, when I'm prescribed my fluoxetine (another SSRI) I'm not warned about the weight gain, whereas when I'm prescribed risperidone (an antipsychotic) they tell me in advance THIS WILL MAKE…

Please, please eat more than 800 calories. 1200 minimum. You will still lose weight. And you won't feel crap. And you'll learn proper eating habits when it comes to maintaining weight at the end.

Are you measuring round the narrowest point? I'm in UK size 10 and my waist (narrowest point) is 29 inches... When I was 34 inches I was in a size 14. If you're in UK size 10 clothes I'm sure your measurement is wrong :)

No. It is more strenuous than walking. You know this because you're breaking a sweat and feeling exhausted. It's the numbers that are wrong - perhaps your estimates for walking are too high, or perhaps the machine isn't giving you a proper estimate. Do you need to enter your weight? Does it give you your heart rate - you…

Nutritionists are NOT dieticians. Research the difference. ETA: In other words, your dead cat can become a nutritionist, but it can't become a dietician. Anyone can call themselves a nutritionist.

Was it wet enough? Had you been wearing it a long time before putting it to use (mine tends to dry out that way).

Cause is a build up of lactic acid in the muscle. Going slowly gives the muscle a chance to recover. Lactic acid is formed during anaerobic activity & is dealt with by the liver, but it has to get out of the muscle into the bloodstream first. Going slowly allows the muscles to perform some aerobic activity.

Wow, what an idiom. Sorry, couldn't resist.

They've become further apart. I now have a period every 6 weeks instead of every 4. (yes I have been to a doctor, no they haven't had any positive test results so they're discharging me :P) ETA: very vague pun unintended.

22 miles! :O Go to a running shop and look at their sports bras, as the ones you're getting may not be very high impact and in general running shops stock bras suited for running particularly. Also get fitted for a bra if you haven't already so you know what size you ought to be getting. If you're chafing, is the band size…

When overcoming anxiety in any situation, general few rules: - do not go out of your way to avoid the anxiety-inducing situation, this will compound the anxiety for future occurrences - ride out the anxiety, get to the other side and next time you approach the same situation the anxiety will tend to lessen every time. -…

Make sure if you're exercising frequently you have a supportive sports bra. That can cause sagging in itself (which may be separate from the weight loss). It's a perfectly valid position to want to look good just for your own benefit. I wish more people noticed this. I am not planning on looking good for other people, male…

Wonderful! Because you've got so many FB compliments that verifies that all of them must be on to something :) Nice work... :D

Maybe this. ETA: Hey, great work! :) Your neck especially.

Amazing! Get out your sewing kit... :)

If you're going to assume a certain lifestyle I think - in some situations at least - one should morally consider the situation that the vast majority of people choose that lifestyle. And if the vast majority of us needed mobility scooters, including the doctors providing the medications, society's infrastructure would…

If you don't LIKE mushrooms, don't force yourself into eating them because they're healthy. There are plenty of other healthy alternatives out there, some of which you are bound to prefer and like more. If you're really determined to try them... is it the flavour or the texture you don't like? Most people don't like the…

Can I step in and over-complicate this statement by pointing out the existence of XX males and the SRY gene?
