Thanks - I'll check that out :)

I don't really know much about intermittent fasting - do you notice it makes a difference in achieving your goals? Do you exercise on those days? I'd be interested in hearing more about it.

I usually plan out my meals/exercise at least a day or two in advance. I find that planning ahead helps me stay on track! And allows me to better control my sodium, carbs, etc.
-
You look fabulous!!! Man, I'm still kicking myself for not taking "before" pictures

I gained a little more than 3 lb when I first started the Shred, but then it all came off after about a week and a half. This is pretty normal for starting a new workout routine.
-
And this actually works?? Has anyone tried it?

Amazing work! Measurements tell more truth than the scale anyhow :)

I've been trying to reduce processed foods, which helps a lot. I try not to buy anything with over 500mg sodium anymore (it's tough, I know!). Of course, I'm still working through a lot of food I already purchased that is high sodium (especially those frozen dinners... so convenient but so loaded with sodium). Make small…

Despite my fear of being shocked with electrical wires, I kind of really want to do this now in Virginia in the fall.
-
I'm looking at it now... It sounds crazy fun.

The Electroshock thing was the freakiest looking thing to me too haha
-
This sounds delicious

Yay!!!! I just had some little NSVs at the mall today myself. Feels amazing!
-
Nice! I'm still working on that one, lol Way to go :)

Thanks :) I'm a slight pear-shape but I think I carry weight pretty evenly. I dropped a bunch of weight right when I started, and then I started exercising loads beginning on April 1st. That's when the real changes started happening and scale slowed way down... but I can see and feel the changes :) Bikram Yoga + Boxing +…

I most definitely was!! Thank you everyone :)

It makes me so happy to hear how motivated people are to change! I just really wanted to let all of you know what a huge thing you are doing for their families, even if they don't always consciously appreciate it (not mention what you are doing for yourself).

I spaced out and put this in the wrong forum... ergh Reposting under Motivation/Support, where I meant to put this.

I don't think you're doing anything wrong - when I started exercising and eating the recommended calories I gained weight. I've never tried to lose weight the healthy way before, and I think it took my body some adjusting. Then, I started losing. I've only been at this for a month and a half, and some weeks I lose nothing.

I used to be an avid diet coke drinker, but I stopped drinking it entirely because of the sodium content. Be sure to log all diet drinks consumed so you can keep track of sodium, and be sure to get some regular water, too.
-
I'm sure I won't be the only one asking but.... have you been drinking plenty of water? Watching sodium intake? Eating back exercise calories?
-
I just got mine at the local supermarket (Shopper's), but they have it at amazon.com too for cheaper (but you have to buy a lot!)
-
I just started drinking Optimum Nutrition Whey Protein - Vanilla Ice Cream flavor. I chose it because it's low sodium & low carb. It tastes great with soy milk.
-
Yeah, same. We're having a thermostat war in my office.
-
I'm on pretty much everyday during the week! I still log in my diary on the weekends, but usually don't post/comment as much. Adding you now :)
-
Which type do you have? Omron?
-
I've been wondering this, too... I looked at several on Amazon and all seem to have mixed reviews.
-
Saving this to refer back to. Thank you!

Remember that you usually gain weight when you start a new exercise routine! I gained 3lb when I started JM's 30 Day Shred, but then that came off and then some. Also, keeping your sodium below 2,000 mg really helps, as does drinking tons of water. Don't get too down on yourself! Change takes time, and you can do this!!!!

I'm curious to hear advice as well... I'm eating much healthier but still struggle with the pain/discomfort.
