I had two. One several years ago after returning from a Disney trip and seeing the pictures. I realized I was way bigger than I saw myself in my head. Lost 67 lbs. Then last year and a half the weight crept back up 40 lbs. Well this past weekend I once again decided enough was enough. Back to the walks, back to the gym and…

I'm currently on Week 2-Day 3. I tend to have my breathing as being the thing that slows me down the most. My lungs give up way before my knees or legs do. It's like I'm being squeezed and no matter what, I cannot get enough air. I have a physical in a couple of weeks and will discuss possibly having sports induced asthma.…

Just did first day. Really sweating... But so happy I started. Are we forming a group? Just checking.

I would love to join! Starting tomorrow, I can't wait. Is this going to be a group? Count me in!

I'm in too! Need the motivation to get off the couch :) Is there a group to join?

I was just like you. Wanted to work out and had no one to go with, even joined the gym. But once I came home from work and my butt was planted on the couch or I started to do home things, working out was the last thing I wanted to do. So..... what worked for me was bringing my gym clothes to work and actually changing at…

You can add me. I'm 45 and just started back up here a couple of weeks ago and the support is great!

I started this past Monday and it is definitely kicking my butt. Don't be discouraged if you can't get through the workout without stopping (possibly several times). It builds you up. Like I say today is day 5 for me and I can already see things tightening up. You will sweat.

I almost found it a bit harder only because my muscles kept wanting to give out instead of with the cardio me running out of breath. I think I will me more sore from the recovery than the regular training.

Thanks! I will do what I can and try not to blow out a knee. Here comes trial by fire...

Hi everyone. I'm Kim and I am 45, married with a 16 year old girl. I just came onto MFP after a looong time of being away. I find it hard to stay motivated and I thought this site was perfect. I have a different mindset now that I have gained some wisdom with age. Now its about slow and steady and being realistic. I don't…

For me it's easier now that my daughter is self-sufficient at 16. She dances competitively and is at the studio most evenings so I now have no excuse not to exercise. My motiviation is if she is sweating then i should be too so off to the gym I go. I usually try to do both cardio and weights while there. I am starting the…

I am starting this on Monday Februay 25th. I am nervous and excited. Hope I can push on when I want to flop back on the couch! I have a question. My knees aren't the best (had surgery a few years ago for a torn meniscus) do you think this will be too hard on the knees? And will better shoes help? Thanks everyone! Just came…
