I quit 5 years ago. My best tip is to find a replacement stress reliever. Most smokers I have known, smoked when stressed. It's good to have a plan for stress, such as deep breathing, screaming into a pillow, kicking a box, etc.

I eat out quite a bit. I find that I can find a meal almost anywhere that fits my needs. I generally look for a piece of grilled meat, chicken or fish, with a lot of veg. And as someone else mentioned, I don't treat every meal out like a celebration. But if I wanted to splurge, I would either eat low calories during the…

I've lost 20 pounds so far and bought myself several new clothing items. I've also been getting rid of old fat clothes when they become too big. I would say these things have really made a difference in enjoying this weight loss journey.

I really don't understand the need to track water. The color of my pee is enough for me. And $55 is crazy for a water bottle. Just my opinion.

I run for wine. Somewhere there must be a t-shirt that says that. Heck yes, eat at least half your exercise calories. Your body probably needs it.

There's so many. Must I pick one? Love my new electric kettle. I use my slow cooker frequently. The deep freezer has greatly improved my food selection. There's so many more.

Two of my best friends have been very thin their entire lives, they are both in their fifties. Both eat about one meal a day. Neither cook or plan events around food. They don't eat when emotional or stressed. And I've never seen either of them eat a lot, although one does sleep binge at times. Neither exercises, but both…

Had a full pint last night - no stomach issues here.

I also lived in South Florida (my spouse is Cuban) and cannot stress how much I miss the Cuban restaurants and my mother-in-laws cooking. We do have a couple of Cuban restaurants here in Denver, but some things will never be the same. I sure miss Cuban bread! And a Cuban sandwich is not a Cuban sandwich without Cuban…

Sounds good but I would personally replace the shirataki noodles with zucchini noodles. Does the fat free cheese melt?

It varies for me. I had been eating at maintenance for more than the last month due to family circumstances, I didn't log well. Now I'm back on track, but I still consider myself a sloppy logger at times. I often don't log very low cal veg, or my energy drink if it's 10 calories, and I no longer weigh my prepackaged foods…

I love activity to help with stress. My favs are running and hiking. The longer the better. Sunday my spouse and I are going on a many hour snowshoeing trek. Cannot wait. Plus the calorie burn is pretty awesome.

Eggs, Greek yogurt, chicken, tuna, protein powder

I also started losing my hair after about 5 months on keto. Scared me to death. I made a doc appt but figured there was a good chance it was my diet. I upped my carbs and in about a month my hair stopped falling out. Doc couldn't find any issues with my blood work. Hope you can find some answers soon.

I live with 3 other adults so I definitely do not throw out food. However, I do have my own snacks that are mine alone. And the others know better than to touch my stash! I have to say that I confused as to why you would follow a keto diet, then Paleo, then whole 30. You could eat the things you like in moderation while…

What about today?

My son also gained weight just prior to puberty. I didn't discuss weight with him, but we continued the usual family outings like walks, hiking, going to the pool, etc. Nutrition had also been an ongoing discussion in our home. Multiple veggies were served at dinner along with the expectation to eat some. We didn't keep…

How are your iron levels? When my husband had severe anemia, one of the side effects was endless yawning.

So this again. And are you choosing correct database entries? We could help more if you opened your diary

I would add not to send unsolicited advice via PM. I had a "friend" that would comment on my diary and tell me that I could improve my weight loss by eating the way that she did. I didn't ask for help and don't believe that her advice was helpful anyways. Very annoying.

Sorry but I agree that 14 weeks is nothing. Once you lose successfully, then there is maintenance which is life long. My being patient is me loving each milestone, each new size, each new pair of pants, everytime I wear something old and I swim in it, every extra 10 minutes that i run, everytime I have the energy to play…

How are you measuring your food? Are you choosing correct entries in the database? When you say you aren't losing the amount you want, what does that mean?
-
I take my cycle one day at a time. If I need to eat more, then I do. I believe there are many women here who eat at maintenance during parts of their cycle.

For me a bad food choice would be shellfish - mainly due to anaphylaxis. Otherwise I eat within my calories, try to hit my protein, and enjoy my food.

If I didn't eat back some of my running calories, I probably wouldn't have energy for my next run.

2 cups of French onion soup

I'm already so behind. Maybe I can catch up. Lol.

I just finished C25K a couple weeks ago. My advice is to run slowly. Don't be worried about repeating a day or even a week. And stretch after every run. Lastly, enjoy your run. It just gets better!

I do make my own Greek yogurt sometimes but use the nutrition info from fage. I always figured it would be about ballpark for calories and protein.
