  • Beautiful BC, insurance underwriter by day, Mary Kay Consultant by night!
  • Thank you! I didn't know if I was alone... glad to see I'm not! Have a great day everyone.
  • I do the same thing as you, minus the drinking, I usually just go crazy on calories because during the week I am so good I feel like I need a treat, which ends up lasting from Friday, 5pm until Sunday night. BUT, don't beat yourself up about it, and just move forward. Drink A TON OF WATER TODAY to try to flush out all the…
  • Please forgive my ignorance, but I live in a country where going to the doctor is free... but isn't this an injury where a simple x-ray or at minimum a visit to the doctor to determine exactly what the problem is? I also have a lot of shoulder pain that comes and goes, summer is worst because of tennis, and just when I get…
  • Oh my God, I just totally laughed out loud when I read this. I hope it's not trademarked, because I'm adding this my "words to live by". Hilarious - AND SO TRUE!!
  • I'm a Mary Kay Consultant too. Just keep your head up and don't think that when you're putting on a facial, or a show that people are judging you... trust me, they are not. In fact, they are probably more worried about being sans-makeup, right? Ha ha! Have you tried people at your work? What about at the gym? I have found…
  • Sometimes our bodies just need a rest from it all. Perhaps you can try to rest for a full week, don't lift a thing, then try to slowly get back into it by doing some low impact cardio and weights. Maybe try the stationary bike, or walk at a lower speed, but a higher incline?
  • I'm in Surrey, feel free to friend me! I just noticed on your profile that you're hypothyroid too, me too! Actually I started out very hyperthyroid, then became hypo when they zapped me. Hence my weight gain, hence my weight loss...
  • Agreed... start with a GP, I am in Canada and to get an appointment with a specialist takes too long. Where are you in Canada? I'm in Vancouver... seriously go to a walk in clinic, they will point you in the right direction. Feel free to friend me if you want. :}
  • You could enter "Hiking, climbing hills (carrying <10 lb load)", but I would just add it as "walking" at whatever speed you were going at or just manually add what your HRM says.
  • I think you just did :) I would love to join but only have Turbo Fire...
  • Good for you. I too love my job, but hate that I have to sit for 8 hours a day in front of a computer. We just have to make that extra effort to move during the day (I sneak in squats and lunges while waiting for the photocopier, or a few wall pushups... WHAT A FOOL!). Just as a side note... if that's you in your profile…
  • Ice cream (I am eating a Blizzard as I type this) :)
  • I've done a few of the workouts (usually the shorter ones), just to get a bit of variety to my workouts and they are KILLER. I would just modify as you see fit, and if you're an Insanity grad, you should be ok. Just a suggestion... and I will try this myself too... maybe don't use a timer the first time you do a workout,…
  • Bye bye walker! I haven't been staying on schedule, I missed Friday's workout and today I did a step class. But back at it tomorrow.
  • Oh yes, I remember Fire 30, I like that one. And I agree I think working out later in the day helps me sleep too, but don't you find your dinner time is all wonky? I prefer to eat after my workout and I'm eating dinner right now, at 8:30 at night (not good!). I did that spin class tonight... oh man, my legs are going to be…
  • Oh man Jess, your comments are hilarious. And I'm going to kill my hoo-haa for the first time tonight, weird that I just saw this post... LOL.... hoo-haa, you're funny!!
  • Well at least you're still exercising, right? Who cares if we need a walker afterwards! LOL, that's a funny vision. But I feel the same way. I've done some of my home videos bare foot, I think I may have already mentioned that. But I would think you need more support, than less. Where did everyone go on this thread? It's…
  • I feel exactly the same when I take a break from working out. And why does Chalene call Fire 45EZ easy? It's not so easy!!! LOL!
  • Hello all! I am back from vacation and am ready to get back into it. Wow, a week of bad food choices and I feel like I'm back to square one, super bloated and exhausted. I only managed to get in one HIIT workout in the hotel room, but I think I walked a million miles so hopefully that will counter all the McDonald's and…
  • Yes, we all have slow weeks, no matter what size we are, or what our goals are. Your body needs time to adjust to all the changes, so just be patient. If I were you I would continue walking, even on your rest days. Try to increase your water intake, decrease your sodium, etc... and maybe you can kickstart your system…
  • Welcome Lizzie! I cheated and :blushing: didn't do Fire 55 today because I played some tennis... boo on me. But killer burn. Same for tomorrow if the weather holds out... I'm planning on bringing some videos with me to do on vacation... do you guys think I should stick to the schedule, or just take a week off from the…
  • Good job shakemybooty! I've done the last few workouts bare foot, have you tried that? It's not the best for balance, but it'll probably help your feet? So today was HIIT 15 and Sculpt 30, burn of 195. Have a great Thursday!
  • Everyone is doing so well! Way to keep on track! I completed HIIT 20 today and I actually did the Stretch too, and I loved it. Burned a sad 152 calories. Have a great night!
  • Please forgive me if someone else has already said this... #1: chew gum #2: get rid of artificial sweeteners, my experience has proven they make you CRAVE more sugar. #3: this helps me a ton... once your meal is done, BRUSH YOUR TEETH. Hope this helps!
  • Another Turbo Fire fan here! I joined in on this thread, we started 6/20, but feel free to join in! I just completed day 1 of week 2. Love Chalene. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/265355-calling-turbo-fire-fanatics-d

  • Fire 45 today, burn = 420 calories, according to my watch. Have a great night TF'ers.
  • Nice!! I think HIIT 25 is my favorite, and I noticed that she miscalculated the # of times we repeat. But I always thought I was just so exhausted I couldn't count anymore. Don't you love it when your spouse notices all your hard work? For awhile there a few years ago my husband started calling me "buffy" so I had to scale…
