no... increase your strength training routine, eat your exercise calories and be patient. try eating clean foods.

Just keep on doing what you're doing. Sometimes our problem areas are the last ones to go away. From what you said, you're making improvements in strength, it just will take losing a little more weight. Depending on how much weight you've lost, it may be excess skin which will depend on genetics, age and how quickly you…

If I want chips, I eat chips. lol.

I did it for 10 days and I lost 1.5 pounds. It helped my break my plateau oddly enough.

I haven't really been logging the past few weeks. Every day or so I do, but since I was logging for a good amount of time I learned a schedule that I can stick with. Eat certain things at certain times, make certain kinds of dinners. Watching portions, eating healthy and making good decisions is more important. Either way,…

I gained weight when I went on BC but it may be because I started dating my boyfriend around the same time, went back to school, starting eating out more and stopped working out... Only thing I've noticed in weight gain and trying to lose weight was in my chest. Which wasn't really a negative side effect for me hahaha…

the only pill I take is my multivitamin

You lose weight only to gain it all back + more. Tried and true way to weight loss: Exercise, eat for fuel.

The OP was simply stating her success... She was happy with her results and wanted confirmation. You took what would have been a wonderful topic and turned it into a argument. Anywho... Congrats on your weight loss so far! And I wish you the best of luck! :flowerforyou:

That is too cute! Congrats!

I play around on MFP when I'm bored... ....and when I'm at school ....and when I'm home and should be doing hw ....all the time....

I love my cute work out gear. But after working out I just look like *kitten*. I work out REALLY hard and I'm covered in sweat, my makeup runs, my hair gets frizzy, my face gets bright red... I don't really care though, just means I'll look better when I'm not at the gym.

This is true. I was a college swimmer and always had great muscle tone, even before I started lifting. Swimming is all cardio but you build muscles to boot.

about 3 months. but I never hated it because I have always been an athlete. I just had gotten out of shape so exercising had gotten difficult

Go for it. I met my boyfriend a year and a half ago at the gym when I was my lightest during my adult years. I'm about 10 pounds away from being where I was when I met him. I gained about 25 pounds thanks to him lol.

Whole grains and dairy have a large amount of protein in them. Whey protein supplements may help as well.

Good luck and congrats on your progress so far. Keep your eye on the prize and don't get discouraged if it doesn't happen as fast as you would like. It is about changing your lifestyle, not meeting a certain goal by a certain time

I had a 10 day long "eat whatever I want, whenever I want" and I broke through my plateau and lost 1.5 pounds.... it works.

Fresh foods are normal and diet foods. They are cheaper, located on the outside of the grocery store and rich in nutrients. My grocery bill has DROPPED since I started eating healthier. Personally, I'm learning how to have a sustainable healthy lifestyle by eating fresh, natural foods.

You won't poop if there is nothing in there to come out. 1000 calories seems REALLY low with exercise 5x a week.

I have had back problems due to injuries sustained from being a college athlete. Some of my teammates did as well. It is something that I still deal with occasionally. I have found that strength training has taken away most of the pain. ( I have a rotated pelvis that caused three of my vertebrae to rotate which caused a…

In order to build muscle mass you have to be eating at a calorie surplus. All of JM's videos MAINTAIN muscle mass while burning fat. In order to get big strong muscles you are going to need to eat more (try 2000 a day) and lifting heavy. Pick up a copy of The New Rules of Lifting for Women.

I loooooooooove my acuvue advance ones.

I use the GNC brand (100% whey). Ground Turkey Chicken Breasts Greek Yogurt Eggs Peanut Butter Salmon and Tuna Whole Grains (have a large amount of protein believe it or not...) That is where I get my 120+ grams of protein a day from...

I've been trying to eat better but I keep having slip ups from stress/school/situations etc. I have been exercising a good 4-5 times a week (cardio and resistance training for my muscles  ) and making sure I make better choices MOST of the time. Some days I'm eating well over 2000 calories (ESPECIALLY WEEKENDS) and…

I was a swimmer all my life- even through a D1 college team. My muscle tone came from swimming. I didn't start lifting weights until college and people thought I was a gosh darn body builder before I even started lifting. It wasn't until I quit the sport that I gained weight (and kept eating like I did when I got 4 hours…

I wouldn't. My boyfriend took creatine for awhile and it made him act really touchy and angry. I couldn't handle that so I can only imagine how awful steroids would be on behavior.
-
I think I would obsess too much if I had one. It would be nice to see the amount of ounces of my meats though. Just once to validate my beliefs and then I can go back to guessing.

I use salt all the time and I don't log it. I just make sure I drink enough water to help with the bloat.
