  • Les Mills is my favorite thing ever. I have turned into a serious group exercise junkie because of them. I actually got certified to teach Les Mills GRIT and it has changed my life. I usually do Combat, Attack, Pump and sometimes RPM and Flow. I LOVE LOVE LOVE attack and can't wait until a training comes near my home so I…
  • Here are my suggestions: 1. Try squeezing in a small workout while cooking dinner. Sometimes it takes 30 min to bake chicken so drop down and do some burpees, pushups and body weight squats while its baking. Also, consider investing in a crockpot. Instead of getting up early to workout, get up 15 min early to throw some…
  • ommmmmm nom nom nom nom nom gimme foooooooooood :drinker:
  • Hey! Here's a few pointers... I'm short too (only 5'3") so I feel your pain. All my weight settles around my tummy and is always the last to go... Exercise: You should try weight lifting. Building muscle not only increases your metabolism so that you can eat more but it also helps burn stubborn fat. You may even see an…
  • I get that way when I'm running really hard or get really hot when I exercise. I used to have exercise induced asthma when I was a kid that I have kind of grown out of (or at least don't need medication for anymore). maybe that is the cause?
  • attention seeking much?
  • I hold my phone... I use it to track my milage and listen to music (I really do need to invest in an armband tho). As for keys, I take the main one I need (either my car or house key) and put it in a little pocket that is attached on my running shorts/pants. Most pants and shorts designed for running have them
  • I gave up trying to be a morning person years ago. If you can't get to the gym in the morning, find another time to do it. It doesn't matter when you work out, just as long as you do it. Being happy is obviously more important in my mind, than kicking myself to do something that makes me miserable.
  • Here is a little weight loss secret of mine.... you can have ANYTHING you want as long as it fits your calories. (oh, and that means if you intend on drinking, a good hard workout beforehand helps). Not to mention when you eat less, your buzz kicks in faster, so you don't need to drink as much anyways. edited to add: oddly…
  • The more protein and fat in the meal, the more filling it is.
  • How much were you originally drinking? Was it diet drinks? Fact of the matter is, one 12 oz. soda is typically about 150 calories. Saying you had 2 a day, that is really only 300 calories a day that you are cutting from your lifestyle. If you haven't changed anything else about your habits that would only equate to a 2100…
  • I'm offended that you don't trust females to have a good opinion about beer... ^but I agree with budlight platinum. you get the most alcohol for your calories haha. most low calorie beers are watered down and disgusting. sometimes I just say screw it and drink my favorite beers and just watch what I eat before and after.
  • eh thats a lot different. I understand intermittent fasting. that is MUCH different than the diet that this woman is proposing.
  • so you eat once a day? well of course you'll lose weight. any idiot with a brain can figure that out. wanna know what else will happen? you'll be unhealthy, you'll lose your muscle mass, you won't be able to run up the stairs without being out of breath and you'll gain it back as soon as you quit. try the old fashioned…
  • rewards are more effective than punishment from a learning theory point of view.
  • why can't you drink water at work? that sounds like abuse.
  • eat if you're hungry and it fits your calories/macros.
  • 32 and your lips
  • you're joking right? you consumed something, therefore the weight you gained was not fat....
  • In my PERSONAL opinion, ANYONE that sleeps around gets a negative connotation. Male and female.
  • why do you care what other people do?
  • are these people your friends? don't you kind of expect them to listen to you when you're going through something hard? they're clearly asking for your advice or opinion on something they're dealing with... it's called having a normal relationship with someone.
  • I like this, it is basically the biggest thing I think I battle with. I constantly compare myself to others and feel the need to b the "best." Being a perfectionist is not the greatest thing in the world. A habit I would LOVE to kick.
  • yea, I already do. it just doesn't seem like it is enough. I feel like I need to be working on it outsides of the therapy situation. I mean, I know a lot about therapy, I actually have my BA in Psychology. I've seen more than one counselor as well. It just doesn't seem to work for me. I'll go and see the counselors on days…
  • bump?
  • you don't have to do a program. I would say run a 5k 3x a week and slowly increase your speed over time, with maybe a longer run once a week (4-5 miles instead of 3) I never did C25K because I could already run. But I've personally just made mile goals for each week and each run I make a plan to hold a certain pace that…
  • work on speed and keep it going. personally, I'm not interested in running much more than 4 miles in a short period of time. I'd rather be fast fast fast at a 5k than to be a slow half marathoner.
  • I saw this yesterday. It made me happy
