Best way to stop bingeing is to eat at maintenance for a few days/weeks/maybe months. Don't aim for your deficit - you are struggling, you need to cut yourself some slack. Plan ahead - plan your meals, get your shopping in, don't buy stuff you know you'll be tempted by. Drink a LOT of water, forgive yourself and treat…

One of my favourites is The Downward Spiral by NIN. Angry lifting! Ha! Another (less angry) favourite is the whole Torches album by Foster the People

Another New Rules for Women fan here. Looked at a couple of other programmes, but this one seemed the most accessible to me. I think just pick a programme and go with it. I wasted a lot of time dithering about picking the perfect programme and figuring out how to make my routine "perfect" by watching loads of videos and…

Brilliant! NROL is a great book, it's the first time I've stuck to an exercise programme for more than a couple of weeks. I really enjoy it :)

Hello, I am quite new here too. I usually aim for 3x a week (Mon, Weds and Fri), but the last two weeks were just Mon and Fri because I was visiting family on the Wednesdays. But I am not doing any other exercise. Just remember that it's more about progression than an end point, it doesn't matter if it takes ages to get…

I've been on sertraline for nearly 3 years and in that time I've lost weight and gained it, but nothing I would attribute to the drug. Have been eating clean for about 6 weeks now and don't seem to be having any problems. Weight loss is slow, but I'm eating at a very small deficit and lifting weights, so weight loss isn't…

Love this site for protein info: http://www.nomeatathlete.com/vegetarian-protein/ My protein comes from eggs, dairy (cheese/cottage cheese and milk), yogurt, nuts and seeds (almonds and hemp seeds mainly), beans, limited quorn (I don't really like it), very occasional fish (like once every 2 weeks), peas (raw mange tout…

From a personal, anecdotal point of view I've only ever been successful in losing weight when prioritising water and drinking at the very least 1.5 litres a day. From a scientific point of view, there have been limited studies done, and the main hypothesis seems simply to be that drinking water reduces appetite…

I too eat chocolate every day. But I've switched to good quality dark chocolate, at least 70% cocoa. I spend time smelling it and eat it in tiny bites and let it rest on my tongue. So I eat 10g (3 small squares) and I'm happy! But if I start on the sugar laden milk stuff, there's no hope for me for days!

The first few times I put on my most badass music and turned it up loud so I could mentally block out the rest of the room, and just walked in like I meant business. I am short (4'11) and fat (170lbs) with a post pregnancy belly, I wear super tight workout leggings and a vest top. I look weird in the gym, never mind…

Hello everyone, I haven't posted in here yet, but today I did workout B1 of stage 1. Two workouts down, a lifetime of workouts to go!

I'm vegetarian and struggling somewhat too, and I can eat dairy! Hemp seeds are my latest find - 10g per 2 tablespoons. I eat a lot of almonds too.

You look amazing. You must be so proud! You're an inspiration :)

I'll add you! I've just started my journey but hopefully lots of support means lots of success!

Hello everyone! I'm Laura, 26 from Leeds, UK. New to MFP and this book! Did the very first workout this morning. Have been kinda casually been doing a bit of weight lifting for the past few months but had no real direction plus apparently was eating too little (according to this book) and then filling up on junk! This…
