Wow! You look Great! Congradulations!

I started on MFP to just be able to log my food intake. I did try to eat a balanced diet, but didn't sweat it too much. Then, I slowly added a bit of stationary bike or walking a little. This works! I've spent most of my adult life obese but really feel like I've made changes that I will stay with. You should also read the…

Hello from the Twin Cities!
-
I use the guide here on MFP for daily calorie intake. I try not to look at this as a diet, but as my new lifestyle. I eat a varied diet making sure I have food from all the food groups. There are things I try to do to make me feel like I'm not dieting. I like to have a lower calorie ice cream bar every day. What I've found…

I made the same type of changes. I eat my 3 meals and 3 snacks between. That type of schedule really does keep you energized and makes you feel like you are doing any BUT dieting. Who would have thunk it! Congradulations!

I haven't tried diet chef. But, if it motivates you to get started, then go for it. I do agree with other posts that MFP is a great site to really teach you how to NOT diet and just eat well and live a healthy lifestyle. I'm not a hyper workout person, but this site has allowed me to figure out what works for me. I log my…

weight watchers chocolate and raspberry bar or a frozen strawberry smoothie bar. I trade off but look forward to one of them every day.

I'me 5'4" and have been here for 6 months. This is a great site and works. Just keep logging your food and activity. Good Luck!

The Paneras in MN do have the calories listed on the menu. At least of the whole portions or the large sizes.

Welcome! Congradulations on the excellant start today! Just take one day at a time and start each day new. Don't look back on past mistakes other than to learn from them. You will do Great!

That is so great! I SO understand how you feel. Today was the first day in my LIFE that I've EVER jogged(shuffle really) a 1/2 mile! I fit it into my regular 3-5 mile walk(3 miles today) to push myself. I've done short (shuffles) a bit before. But, when I hit the spot that I promised I would jog to I just kept on going. I…

I agree! Logging food USED to be a pain before I started using the app on my phone. Now, it's just tap, tap, tap and I'm set! I really like that pretty much anything I want to eat out is already in the database. It makes the decision making so much easier! Love this app!

I'm in!

I just finished day one of level one. Yeah! I made it! I also took my measurements and did a before picture. All my pre-30ds apprehension is gone. I'm ready for this! Good luck everyone!

I ordered the DVD from Amazon. It hasn't come yet. Going out of town for the 4th of July weekend and am planning on starting as soon as I get back. A group motivation would really help! I'm VERY apprehensive about this workout because I'm not a "sport" or "workout" kind of person. I've been walking and riding my stationary…

My knee is doing "better" every day. I'm working on my stamina and trying to get up to walking 3 miles a day by the time vacation comes around. Other than walking or biking, I"m a total wimp at exercise. I don't know how far 10,000 steps is, but it sounds like it should burn loads of calories! Thanks for the well wishes!

Congradulations for starting! It sounds like you are doing really great! You seem to have a good plan for activity and eating. I started for the same initial reason 3 weeks ago to loose 20 pounds by my vacation planned for May 13. I'm also recovering from knee surgery. I've started using this site on my phone. It's so easy…
