  • This lol! I have 5 kids too! I would love to go out alone somewhere quiet with a book and a fireplace :)
  • You guys are the cutest couple ever!!! I love that blue bathing suit super cute!!!!
  • Oh my gosh, that is horrible!
  • My hubby kept telling me our scale at home was way off, I finally went out and bought a new one this week, and he was right it was off by 7 pounds, I was so bummed, I was feeling really awesome for awhile there until I realized I weighed 7 pounds more than I thought :( but oh well, I still lost 10 pounds, I was just…
  • You look great! I start day 11 tomorrow, hoping my results are as good as yours
  • I agree! I have been wearing the flex and I have noticed a few things, 1. It's great, but by no means replaces a heart rate monitor. 2. Sometimes its calories burned seem way off, in fact I believe it underestimates them greatly on my part (but I'm ok with that) 3. You can definitely not rely on it if you want to eat all…
  • My husband was telling me a story a few months ago about a woman at the gym that is very overweight, she wears a shirt occasionally that says "If I can do it, so can you" I think about that when I'm running, and I know it inspires him to work out harder too, I wonder if she knows that she is inspiring the rest of the gym…
  • Congratulations!!! By the way the blazer looks fantastic on you!
  • I had this same question  So let me see if I have this correct, if someone could tell me. I only put in my food on mfp, I run 30 minutes and do not post that on mfp, I let my fitbit take care of the calories for that, the extra calories it gives me throughout the day for the amount of exercise I do can be eaten back…
  • I use coconut oil daily and also oil pull with it, I have not gained any weight at all since I have been using it (aprox 2 months) I do not think even if it is absorbed into your bloodstream that it would have any affect on your weight (even if you bathed in it)
  • I have been on Zoloft for around 10 years on and off due to PPD. I don't think the medicine has affected my weight, although I have read studies that say it can, My doctor always assured me that with proper diet and exercise, weight gain should not be a problem. I have tried numerous times to get off of my medication only…
  • Honestly I am so glad you started this thread, I am totally addicted to cottage cheese. I love the idea of having it as dessert. I usually cut up a tomato and have it with some low fat pita chips for lunch. That dip sounds fab
  • Thats awesome!!! I also have a fifth grader in a school in the Chicago suburbs, they do the wax museum as well, although ours isn't until later in the year
  • You can add me! I just joined also and am looking for some motivating friends as well!
  • I had my last baby 4 years ago, does this count? Ha! Probably not, but I am still trying to lose the baby weight ::embarassed: I am new to the site also and you are welcome to add me, even though I technically am not considered post partum
  • Thank you! Exactly! I had a co-worker when i was 8 mths pregnant and eating a snickers bar ask me if I really needed to eat that. I just nodded and said Yep! If you didn't ask for their advice they shouldn't be giving it. Sounds like a couple of bullies to me.
  • I just ordered my fitbit yesterday in hopes to step it up a bit! It looks as if we are looking to lose around the same amount too, feel free to add me if you like and everyone else as well. I could also use the extra motivation!!!
  • I grew up on a farm and we had tons of chickens! Its too bad I live in suburbia now, I always tell my husband and kids I would love to have a little chicken house and some really cool unusual chickens! Fresh eggs are the best! My neighbors might report me to the village if I set one up in our backyard now though  so…
  • I run with music too, can't imagine running without :) I do have a friend who is an avid marathoner and he runs on the last leg of his marathons with music, he says it's sort of a treat to yourself and an incentive to hit those last miles. I have tried this even though I consider 6-7 miles a long run lol, I can't do it.…
  • I am also new and a stay at home mom of 5 although I do not homeschool, but would have loved to :) I would like to have some friends that can keep me motivated also I have around 25 pounds to lose and was working towards that well for quite some time, I run 3-4 times a week, but took 4 months off of exercise only to gain…
  • I totally agree with the OP when I get a craving for something junky I make myself a cup of tea instead. My favorite is Twinings french vanilla chai, but I also love some of the Celestial seasonings, their black cherry berry is the best and great before bed because it is caffeine free. I buy the sleepytime grape from…
