  • W7D3 done!! Only three more runs to go! I can't even believe I can run 25 minutes now without stopping. I NEVER thought I'd ever be capable of that, and I'm so proud of myself for not giving up (even when it got tough). Keep going, everyone!! You can do this!!!
  • Not necessarily... I just made a rule that, challenging or not, as long as I completed the run as written without stopping, I would advance to the next level. You'd be surprised how quickly your body adapts. I have one week left after tomorrow, and while I have just BARELY completed several levels along the way, I haven't…
  • Knocked W7D2 out of the park!!!! Four more workouts until I move on to 10k runner :)
  • My husband works midnights, so I catch him in the morning, before he goes to sleep, so he can babysit while I go for a run. I tried taking my daughter in the stroller once...it was a disaster!

  • Getting ready to do my 20 minute run. Two days ago, 15 minutes was no problem, but for some reason the 20 minute run scares the crap out of me!! I think the sight of no walking breaks is freaking me out, even though my cool down will be like my walking break. I've been procrastinating all morning, lol.
  • W6D3 done!! So long, walking breaks!

After that, I just ran…
  • Just finished W6D1 this morning. I feel amazing! I looked at my runtastic app and saw that I ran my first mile without stopping in 9:32. I haven't done that since middle school, and my best mile time back then was 9:45 (and I was about 90 lbs lighter back then)!!!!
  • Great job!!! Congrats!
  • Just finished w5d3 this morning. Is it weird that I find running in the rain incredibly refreshing, lol?
  • I finished W5D1 of 5k Runner today!!!! I thought I'd lose my mind two days ago when I had to run in 5 minute segments, but I BLEW through today's run :). I even had energy left for a beginner body weight strength training routine!
  • Yeah, I think I was a bit quick to post that one. I did a bunch of ankle strengthening and stretching on my day off that day and tightened the laces on my shoes a bit tighter for the next run and it fixed the problem. No pains at all now. I just did week 4 day 1 today. I think the hardest part right now is breaking through…
  • I finished W3D3 yesterday. It was the first time I've really struggled to keep going. I was drained after the first 3 minute run. I'm so nervous to start week 4!! I've been running one day on and one day off since the start, and I haven't really been paying attention to the weeks. Should I be taking that extra rest day in…
  • Clearsky has apps for push ups, pull ups, sit ups, and squats. Some are 0-100, some are 0-200. I was just going to start with these. They're designed to build you up gradually.
  • It's the 5k Runner app by Clearsky
  • I have almost the same numbers as you. It can be done!! I am 5'6'' and I started on MFP (at 223lbs) on February 1st. My goal was to lose weight as slowly as I could at first. I set myself an attainable goal of .5lbs per week, and found that to be too easy, so I gradually moved my goal from there. I am now down about 20lbs…
  • Finished W3D1 today, and I didn't die!! Yay!!!
  • I do this alllllllllll the time!!! A few days ago, I saved an extra 250 calories in the evening and planned a little "mini-meal". Instead of my usual bowl of cereal, followed by fruit, followed by yogurt, followed by cheese, I grabbed a Jimmy Dean D-Lights sandwich for my snack. The warmth and the protein really did it for…
