Yes! Give it a try. Depending on how fit you are and how coordinated you are (or are not ), it might seem a little overwhelming at first, but keep going! My class is through Community Education...walk-in price is $6, or you can buy a punch card (10 punches for $54.00, which is like getting every tenth class free). I go 2-3x per week, so a punch card lasts about a month. Our classes are 75 minutes long, so it seems like a pretty good deal,

Mine is about the same...it says I should do 1400 calories a day to take off a pound a week. I am eating back most of my exercise calories, so I am very close to the 1400 every day. I only joined MyFitnessPal about 2 weeks ago, but I have lost 2 pounds following the 1400 calories per day...it seems to be working for me.
