Hi 1. 42 2. 5'7" 3. 128 (started jan 14 at 153) 4. Moderately active, SAHM, walk everywhere, 3 x 30 min workouts per week on average, hand weights at home 5. Cals average 1700 - 1800 and have lost steadily since January 6. My only tip would be to try and adopt a slightly better way of eating / lifestyle without thinking…

Congratulations on making that first step and I wish you all the luck in the world. This site is a great find. I didnt believe I could lose weight, didnt believe I could do diets and I have been amazed and encouraged by the results. I have done no more than move a little more and ensure that I make my cal goal (and logged…

You look fabulous! Well done!

Agree. Squat thrusts in bare feet are not a pleasure. Blistered my toes on day 1 of level 2, doh!
-
Just finished level 2 and it does get easier, stick with it! I didnt mind the plank moves but substitute on the skippy ones. I dont do bouncing! Figurex so long as I kept my heart rate up and kept moving the benefits would be the same. I've noticed a big difference in my clothes so something is working. Just do as much as…

Well done, great job

Hi there, sounds like you are doing great so far. Welcome to mfp! I am not doing paleo, but an easier version. I've cut out a lot of the grains and unhealthy snacks but I'm cooking for loads of kids so pasta still sneaks in occasionally! 3 months in I am now lower than my original goal weight but want to improve my figure.…

Hi there, I'm on every day. Feel free to add and I'll cheer you on!

You are fabulous! Well done and enjoy your trip!

Fabulous, well done. Thats an amazing transformation!

You've earned those stretch marks. They are your mommy tiger stripes! I can certainly see a difference in the baby belly and I hope you are feeling better too. Keep up the great work. You are doing an awesome job!

My youngest child was also tiny, from about the 6 month mark she was in the bottom 0.2% of the UK growth charts. As she ate well, slept well and was meeting all her milestones, I trusted my instincts which were that she just takes after my husbands side of the family and is small. At 12 months she weighed 12.5 lb and at 18…

Last night was roast beef, gravy, mashed spuds, brocolli, carrlts and sweetcorn. Followed by v small slice of homemade Victoria Sponge. Very nice it was too! Tonight is cottage pie, made with lean minced beef, carrot, turnip, mash. Plus green beans and peas on the side. Smells good already!

Sounds like me when i once tried giving up caffeine! I've recently cut out most (not all) sugary snacks, sweets etc and didnt feel bad at all but then my sugars are still high due to fruit. I feel much better and more energetic and dont really crave sweets any more. Still drinking tea and coffee though!

Be prepared to gain a pound or so too! Some woman just retain more water etc due to hormonal changes. I'm no good at resisting choccy cravings. I might have to pinch some of the smoothie ideas posted!

In the crock pot: chicken breasts, red onion, green pepper, garlic, courgette, pesto, can chopped tomatos and 1small carton passata. Kids will eat with pasta, I will prob go for salad. Btw lunch was hot kiln smoked salmon with chili and ginger, salad, olives and baked tomatos. Yummo. Cant post a pic, ate the lot and licked…

I have three kids, aged 3,8 and 11. I dont cook separate meals and never have. As soon as they were capable of finger food, basically they have eaten the same as the rest of the family. I dont fuss too much over uneaten food. The house rule is you must try everything on your plate and if you choose not to eat the rest, you…

This and maybe less emphasis on weight, starting with being too hard on yourself, and focus on the whole family eating healthy and enjoying some activity together. If you are introducing healthy family meals this may address your sons weight and encourage your daughter to also eat better, but i think you may also need…

Me too, 3 kids and looked like Homer Simpson! Most advice on previous similar threads is that you cant spot reduce and as you lose fat, tummy will slim down. Its kinda working for me so far, started in jan, and seen a big improvement. I stared 30 day shred (video on you tube) and that has also had a positive effect. It may…

Linlithgow, add me if you want. Love peeping at other folks diaries to pinch ideas! I love food, so you wont find me eating at 1200, but seems to be working well. Reached my initial GW last month so keeping going until I can rock a bikini with confidence (this may take some doing as I have 3 kids!!!)

There has been loads of great advice so far. The only thing I would add is that you maybe only have to put up with your horrible room mates for this year? Dont let their rudeness and immaturity put you off your goals. Friend me, and I can send you some super positive vibes! I think its great you are handling everything so…

Why not ask around for some 30 day shred buddies to start with you? Maybe that could help with motivation levels. Btw, I am on day 5 and finding it easy to fit in to my day. I am def feeling fitter and hope that there will be a visual improvement too. My stats are similar too. I'm 5ft7 and started jan at 153.

Feel free to scan my diary. I like to home cook most meals. Not so helpful if you are eating out though! 500 cals is quite a lot to play with. There are also loads of recipe ideas in the food/nutrition threads.
-
Add me too if you want. I am logging every day and my diary is open!

Hi everyone, I'm also 42 and although I dont have so much to lose now, I am definitely looking to start exercising more. I am trying to eat super healthy, lose the evening munchies and set a great example for my 3 kids. I also work from home so am surrounded by kiddie treats but it also means I can cook properly! Will send…

Brit here too, log on daily and managing to stay motivated with all the fab support on mfp. Feel free to add and good luck!

Hi, join the gang! Please add me! I am also a mum and childminder so am running after the kids a lot... but also faced with kiddy snack temptation everywhere I look. I've lost a bit of weight since the january healthy eating plan started and now looking to get fitter. I generally eat quite healthily but its always been the…

Hi OP, I have no medical background at all but your symptoms sound like me when I eat too much wheat based products! I have recently cut down and feel so much better. As I say, its just my experience. Please feel free to friend me if you want and peep at my diary. I cook for 6 kids every day (not all mine, I am a…

Wow, this is almost exactly me! I am also just starting 30 day shred and focussing more on a healthier lifestly. Its a bonus that the extra pounds are coming off slowly but surely too. Would it be a bit stalkerish to friend you!!!
