  • It is not a workout for beginners, but you can do it as a beginner as long as you KNOW YOUR LIMITS (very important!) and go at your own pace. It will make you want to push yourself over your limit, so you REALLY REALLY REALLY have to watch that if you are not conditioned already. Also, A LOT of people complain of injuries,…
  • OH, is that what she meant? LOL Yes, by "boys" I mean balls. I was trying to trim at least a little of the crudeness out of it lol.

  • Well, I have to answer this in two ways. My post is as such because I'm gay, and gay and perv are NOT synonyms. BUT, the very fact that we're reading this board to begin with is proof that there's at least some perv in all of us! LOL

  • I have to agree with the peeps about the smooth thing being disturbing. I just automatically think prepubescent when I see that and that completely kills it for me being that I'm only attracted to adults. That's totally just us tho. To each his/her own!

  • I couldn't care less what the ladies do personally because I don't go there lol. But since the guy question has been asked, I like my guys trimmed but not shaved when it comes to pubes, the boys shaved, and the chest and butt cheeks furry.

  • I'm not a nutritionist, but I am in a nutrition class this semester. I haven't looked at your diary, but just as a general rule I do this: 1) set your net calorie goal between 1200 and 1500 2) EAT 4 to 5 small meals a day and workout. My net calorie goal is set at 1200, but I consume over 2000 a day. They key word is NET.…
  • Looks like you're eating really light during the day and then a big dinner. I'd suggest spreading your calories out more. Eat more during the day when you're going to be more active and eat a smaller dinner. I am assuming that you're less active after dinner, which is typical. But, even if you do workout after dinner or…
  • I'd have to agree. I'm currently taking a nutrition class and low-carb is definitely not recommended, especially for very long. The recommended daily intake for carbs is 130g. 100 would probably be ok. The thing is that your body's main energy source (indeed the only energy source for many cells) is glucose, which is a…
  • I quit almost 2 years ago cold turkey. What made it easy for me though was that I was in an environment where I was really the only one that was smoking. It was a lot easier to quit when none of my friends wanted to be around me because I STUNK. I didn't read through all of the previous posts on here, but did read several…
  • I never get heat rashes thankfully, but my nose runs and I sneeze like crazy, like I'm having an allergic reaction. Just a different reaction to the histamine I guess.
  • No offense, but only burning 45 cals during sex would be an awfully boring lay I think! Naturally, it's going to vary greatly, but I think it could definitely be worth logging at times. There are times that I've gone for a couple hours, and if it's been a while I'm sore the next day. I'm really curious about this now lol.…
  • I LOVE languages too! I am only fluent in American English, but I've studied German (Hochdeutsch), French, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and Na'vi :)
  • I tried to not eat mine back at first and I felt like CRAP. I couldn't do it. I'd literally get sick. It seems to work for a lot of people though. I'm sure it makes a difference with how much you have to lose too. I've never had that much to lose, and I usually work out pretty hard, so I think my calorie count would be…
  • Really? I couldn't imagine getting through such an intense program with no results. I hope you have better luck with it this time!
  • Today I'm starting a routine of run everyday, do Insanity 6 days a week, and count every calorie I eat/burn with MFP. I'm expecting phenomenal results :) I'll also be stretching every day, and soon I hope to be doing a Wing Chun class twice a week.
  • Insanity has given me the best results so far-in combination with diet of course. A decade ago I did Tae Bo with good results, but it didn't compare to Insanity.
  • I can walk almost 3 miles in 40 minutes, so yeah, sounds like you're pushing too far too fast. ...and I didn't even think about the gait thing lol.
  • I also run in VFF and had the same thing initially, which is natural. I forefoot run, which puts most of the work on your calves, and I could hardly walk after I jogged a mile for the first time in mine lol. I let my calves recover pretty much completely before I ran again (I really didn't have a choice, they HURT!), which…
  • I eat Kashi Go Lean and throw in an ounce of almonds, and I eat a 4oz cup of greek yogurt (Stonyfield organic w/caramel on the bottom). It is a bit pricy, but it fills me up and gets me goin'.
  • I probably eat 12 to 15 oz of food 4 times a day. It just depends on the food and the caloric value. I always feel satisfied after meals and rarely get hungry, but I do have cravings. Who doesn't though, right!
  • There is a formula you can use to figure out your daily caloric need that you can use until you can get a monitor. You'll have to use MFP a little differently than it is really intended for while you're using this formula, but it's better than just guessing your calorie burn or using inaccurate information. You'll…
  • Lentils are high in fiber (11g per serving!), as are many beans. Also, Splenda makes a packet of sweetener that has a gram of fiber in it that's a sugar free way to sweeten tea and coffee and add a gram of fiber or two.

  • I eat Kashi Go Lean. You can't really get high fiber and low carb because fiber is a carb, but you need carbs for energy. If you want to enjoy a good cereal for breakfast then I'd recommend cutting your carbs from the rest of your meals to make up for the higher amount of carbs your going to get from the cereal.
  • I agree with everyone, but what I've not seen is a possible solution-change your workout routine! You've become very efficient in that particular exercise, so you have to do it harder to get the same burn. Challenge your body in a new way and you'll see your numbers go up again.
  • Maybe something is wrong with your scales. Try weighing yourself on a different one.
  • I do Insanity and I burn anywhere from 300 to 500+ calories depending on which workout I do and how hard I push myself. I did the Plyometric cardio circuit workout today and burned 550 calories, but have done the same workout in the past and only burned 400. It is really difficult to just guess or even estimate what you're…
  • Going over a little isn't going to hurt you, but excessive amounts can. Your body filters out excess protein via the liver, and over time excessive amounts can actually strain and damage your liver. But, unless you're downing massive amounts of protein I really don't think this is going to be a problem.
  • I also eat my calories back and I am losing consistently. I avoid hunger by eating small, low calorie meals more often. You have to give your stomach 5 to 10 min to signal your brain that you're not hungry anymore. Don't eat until you're full. Your hunger will go away with a surprisingly small amount of food. Also, you can…
  • WOW, I totally never thought to look at the My Foods tab HAHA. That is such a huge help lol. I use Calorie King too and love it, but I only use the software and not the site, and really enjoy the social side of MFP. I use www.nutritiondata.self.com too and find it very useful.
