I was originally 250, so when I got down about 180 is when I really noticed that I'm cold all the time. I thought it would line out over time, but it never did. It's just me now, I'm cold all the time and hate winter now. But on the flipside, summer heat does not bother me much at all now lol! (And yes, I've had my thyroid…

^^^^^This^^^^ I've been doing great with my food, logging, exercise etc and the past three Saturday weigh-ins have looked like this. Saturday: -1.1 lb The Next Saturday: -0.4 lb The Saturday After Next: + 0.6 lb So yeah since I'm a weekly weigher it sucks when it's like that as it'll be another week to see how it's going.…

Haha, indoor walking is a thing at our house too. We have a continuous loop from the dining room through the kitchen, through the edge of living room, back to dining room. We call it "walking round and round" ;) I also do a big loop of the office floor here at work (desk job)...trying to be inconspicuous trying to get more…

Your diary has you down as some days eating less than 400 calories?!! Is that correct! Because if that is accurate, you really are having an unhealthy relationship with food restricting and binging. I agree with seeing a professional to help you.

I like the following: Cinnamon Applesauce Sunsweet Prunes Any of the 100 calorie packs (Cheez-its, Cookies, Pretzels) Sugar free Jello Kellogg's Fruit Crisps Apples (I like to do a 1 Tbsp of peanut butter to dip in, but that would make it over 100 calories in this thread) Chocolate...yes chocolate... kisses, hearts,…

Please speak with a counselor at your school. You mentioned a eating disorder, and I truly think you could benefit from talking with a professional about your unhealthy relationship with food. They can help you.

I have severe endometriosis (confirmed with surgery), which as I'm sure you know causes extremely painful periods. Sometimes I get a cramp so bad that I literally "freeze" in place and cannot move it is so excruciating. TMI...it feels like my uterus is turning itself inside out. Can make for a really ackward moment if I'm…

I got the fitbit zip for Christmas and have been loving it. It is very motivating to get me moving more during my workday (desk job) in addition to my evening exercise. As someone asked, yes you can sync it with MFP so that it will tell MFP how active you are and adjust your calories accordingly. I love knowing how many…

This is also why my diary is closed. You hit that right on the head.

Another "non-clean" eater here. I have over time substituted healthier options for certain things in recipes and etc. But I have not given up anything that I love. Just better portioned and follow my calorie deficit. I eat some packaged food, some totally not healthy snack foods etc. But hey, what's life without the stuff…

I weigh only on Saturday morning. First thing after using the bathroom. I've tried the everyday thing before in the past and found it hugely discouraging with the fluctuations. So just once a week for me :)
-
Great idea, thanks I'll try this!

I love my zip and have had no reactions from it. I either clip it to my bra or to my waistband. It is supposedly latex free. I am allergic to latex and to nickel (and various chemicals...basically I use "free and clear" everything), which is one of the reasons that I was a little leery of getting the flex or force.…

I log every single thing. I hate logging and going over, but it keeps me honest and let's me know what extra I need to do to make up for it. I do not weigh anything. But I do measure out for my recipes and portion it out evenly.

I must be in the minority here, but I'm very glad they shrank with my weight loss! It was one of the things I was looking forward to the most! So long neck pain! So long painful bouncing trying to workout, and my gosh the sweating in summer heat! Now full disclosure, if I'd lost all of them I might have a different…

Yeah, I was up .9 today and I'm hoping it's because I'm getting ready to start my period. I've logged religiously so I should have lost this week. I wouldn't even question it normally but I just started with my fitbit at Christmas so I still don't "trust" it. But, yes a lot of times I've been up 3 lbs on my period then…

   I  this as it's so true!

Yeah, this is why I cannot weigh myself everyday. I find it very discouraging. I only get on the scale at the same time on Saturday morning. And if I'd ate out in a restaurant on Friday evening, i would skip that week as it wouldn't be accurate the next morning from all that salt. I also know that my period will make me up…

Wow, thanks for this tip! I did not know I could see this laid out like that. Totally cool! It's a great way to look at calories burned vs calories eaten. Being able to see the whole week etc, really helps me see how my week is stacking up.

I totally understand this from both sides. As the spouse who's not back at goal while my husband eats at maintenance level it can at certain points be frustrating on a night when I'm still hungry. I know what you mean by "jealous", but for me it was more of a feeling of unfairness of how many more calories he can have as a…

Wow! You look fabulous! Congrats to you :) I'm very impressed and want to say great job on not gaining weight with your surgeries!!! That is what got me this past year was my surgery, both the numerous pre-surgery problems and afterwards. So I know that is really hard to do. And can I just say, you look so incredibly happy…

At goal I was in a size 10 and loved how I looked. Currently in a 12, so I'm shooting for a size 10 again. I'd love to be an 8, but don't know if I'll go that much farther once I get back to goal. My goal is 150 but it'll really probably be about 145 so that I can have a maintenance cushion :)

It sounds like your time setting is set to the wrong time zone. Go login to fitbit.com and check your time zone setting. I know mine was wrong when I first set mine up, and this sounds like your problem. So make sure both MFP and fitbit are set to the correct time zones. Hope that helps you. :)

I've tried both, but have for years now only weighed in once a week on Saturday morning. I find I am easily discouraged and put off by the fluctuations of daily weigh-ins. I love the excitement on Saturday morning of finding out how I've done that week :) I think it works best for me and keeps me from being discouraged.

I'm so sorry that had happened to you and I'm glad to see you report back that you are doing so great!!! I've also experienced similar things both as a teen and into my adult life. When I first started losing my weight in 2007, I was doing most of my exercise at our university's fitness center. Walking the indoor track…

On weekdays I work, so I have to be there early at 7am. I eat oatmeal each morning before work. On weekends I don't eat breakfast as I have a bigger portion lunch or dinner.

I've heard this all the time. I agree sometimes it's "sort of" a compliment...but 95% of the time I get this from coworkers. When I'd almost reached my goal I got it a lot, then afterwards too. After my illness and surgery this year, when I started back exercising and losing the about 25 lbs I'd gained during the past…

Well, that's a good question and I think most of the answers have hit it dead on. It's a lifestyle, not a diet. I lost 100 lbs and reached my goal slowly, started in 2007 and took several years to get there in 2010. I maintained within my 5 lb range I gave myself until early around February this year when I got really…

Well, I was very pleasantly surprised to have lost .9 lb this morning when I weighed. I had tried to do extra Tuesday, Thursday, and yesterday to offset being way over on a Christmas Day. I only weigh once a week on Saturday mornings so wasn't sure if I'd had enough time to get rid of any bloat. Wishing others weighing…
