I'm the same and I've been checked over - I'm 'normal' :-)

Yup, I 90% love what I eat. There are some things that are under sufferance, such as tuna in brine/spring water. When I get maintenance cals I'm having tuna in oil again :-)

I don't right now, but I remember that feeling. Nothing lasts forever - you'll get through it, and keep yourself fit and well to cope with the stress. Kudos for not doing the 'easy' thing and quitting.

Low level for me teamed with generalised anxiety disorder, managed well by low dose citalopram and cardio :-D to cardio - but if you don't mind me jumping on board that would be fab, I have a daughter with bipolar and I'd love to learn more.

40, and quite liking it. I can say horrible things to people in their twenties when I'm grouchy, and they just do the fixed grin thing, they feel they have to be 'indulgent'. If I don't want to do something I can say to my kids "it's my back" and they do it for me. I don't get upset if men don't fancy me, I don't know or…

Definitely with you there. So unless hammered (and single) and not even going to remember what colour hair they had, I just wouldn't bother :-) Nowt to do with what nice girls do and don't :-)

That's a personal favourite of mine too. The OH and I regularly use that for tender moments (like today when I had to come home as he left the door unlocked ;-))

I'm with franny. Same lifestyle etc - 1,200 does work well for me as far as loss goes but I find it HARD!! More motivation to exercise, but I've had to up it a few times because to be honest - for me, it's not enough to keep me happy! :-)

About 1cm slice of ginger stabbed a few times, and maybe a bit of lemon too if I'm feeling racey.

I wish I was intelligent and witty but I'm not, so *kitten* off does me :-)

I can't do rules, I'd never remember them anyway. I was out of the game for 13 years, and my rules were - never over commit to 'be nice', you're going to have to let them down at some stage anyway, don't get too drunk (unless you don't want to see them again anyway), don't let them have your home address or home telephone…

Come on round. Not only will I eat whatever you serve (except for lamb) I always have ironing that needs doing, hoovering is never done also - I have a huge pile of magazines that I need to read and if I'm given enough time I've been known to paint my nails. Pop the kettle on duck, let's talk terms. :-)

bump for later - good post.

Just checked - I'm 11.30!

I'm doing it! Know a few people on here doing London too - what time were you thinking? I can try and introduce you to a few of the people (I'd need to check my time I can't remember!) Add me if you'd like - and are part of the UK groups?

I'm a 5 7 er and aiming for 140. I know people have an opinion about BMI, but I don't have a high % of muscle and that puts me right in the middle of a healthy BMI range. Once I get there or close I might adjust, but it seems like a good place to aim for :-)

When I started out, I used the rule that if I was doing something that I wouldn't have done pre MFP that involved exertion, or, if I was doing something I did previously with more energy, enthusiasm and for longer than pre MFP I'd log it. If you've got weight to lose over a sustained period you'll probably find when you…

I'd definitely log religiously for the next two weeks. Use cups, scales whatever - I think you may be surprised. If I go through a few 'guess' days and then weigh out the portions I had later, I always underestimate what I've had. I'm not saying live life obsessively - we all go over sometimes, but be honest by measuring…

I'm the same - I just check in that my 'abroad' lot are doing ok from time to time, normally 5 mins before I got to bed at night that does me. If I didn't have family abroad I wouldn't bother any more (it's a lot quicker than getting onto Skype every night and waffling for half an hour.)

My lovely daughter. She jumps on and off if she has a few pound to lose but is quite 'good' so not often on!

I'd stick to upper body hun x

Dale Winton, in a gay pub in Covent Garden. I told him his eyelashes were fabulous (fake) and he said "you should see my c*ck". Sadly I laughed like Barbara Windsor. My very camp friend dragged me over and introduced me as his wife, which was embarrassing as it was, he must have thought I was dense for not noticing my…

Also, what - you're not large at all!! x

There was a large older lady on the treadmill at the gym last night - I smiled at her and noticed others do the same - because we all thought good on you, really easy to sit on the sofa and not bother! I regularly get laughed at by the kids if I run on a Friday lunchtime. If I'm game I shout back because it makes them…

Meerkat, I agree with you. I am by no means an expert, but I think due to the wording the question is ambiguous. I would have probably answered 'true' - but only because I didn't think it through as thoroughly as IS did. The answer from the Tutor didn't impress me - but you (IS) do have to choose your battles if they will…

Agree with all the above, and also wish I'd read John Bingham's beginners books for motivation and reassurance before I'd started too :-) Enjoy!

Just to confirm - and I'm not saying I agree with it - but my friend had hers prescribed by a GP in the UK. I don't approve of this because the only precursor was to have your BMI in the obese range. I feel like the patient should have exhausted other methods of weight loss and provide evidence of this first, without being…

A friend of mine takes it and seems to like it - but, she loses 4lbs, she stops taking it because of the symptoms, she gains 4lb. In the time I've been on MFP I've lost 54lb she has kept off 7lb, we started at the same time. I'm pretty sure if I'd been more disciplined from time to time I could have lost more. Add that to…

Mine died a few weeks back - and I really miss it. Got another one on order and don't feel like I can be 'honest' about exercise cals without it, definitely a good buy! I like www.heartratemonitor.co.uk for looking at spec, it helped me decide what brand and model to replace with (and I then used the Amazon customer…

Hahaha! Brilliant! How do you feel about switching to the tape measure for a while instead? I'm sure it won't be as bad as you think it is - it couldn't be! Remember you'll be carrying more water!
