I'm also going to add - I lose in a sort of three week cycle, 1lb one week, nothing the next then a bit drop of say 4lb. So don't think oh great I could do that when you see a big drop (I'm sure mine's hormonal!) Unfortunately my body doesn't subscribe to the 'just follow these rules and you will lose xx' I'm sure others…

I don't *always* eat my exercise cals back there and then - if I'm hungry I do, but I prefer to have a spike day so I can relax a bit at the weekend over the whole thing. If you feel like you're a bit low on the cals and it's getting late, I'll have some nuts or it's just not convenient to eat right that minute (I think…

I have to say I have no pride at all, I'll run anywhere at any time. I know I don't look good, and I honestly don't care. What I tell myself to counter it is that I looked a lot worse before I started the whole weight loss thing, and I'm not going to ever look any better if I stop now. I may be a little weird though, as…

BUM!! Forgot it's Tuesday. Better crack on then and then I'll watch it on catchup - thanks for the reminder, best think on the TV for ages, I won't read the thread :-)

You know your Mum better than anyone but could she have been teasing? My daughter and I speak to each other like that all the time, but when we are having a bad day the other will always jump in to say you look beautiful, you have great legs etc etc - but we are close so do do the banter a bit - now I'm worried I may have…

Definitely doing it Berry, got a couple of fellow C25K'ers at work we were going to do the final one of the day though in case we are embarrassingly crap - I don't fancy the prospect of 18 year olds from the next wave after me climbing over my head - or do you think that wouldn't happen??

Week 5 run 3 a BIG jump! Don't beat yourself up. Mine was a treadmill run (I do treadmill/grass once a week to reduce the impact on my left shin) so it was an 'easier' run and I had to give myself a really good long talking to to finish it. I'm doing it with two friends who also thought they'd misheard when she said…

Struggling to see what it has to do with you to be honest, providing you and your wife are happy. If putting posts on here get people to 'flame' is what rocks your boat though, well done you, a happy day for you.

Fantastic! I'm due to finish C25K first week in Dec (can't remember when) so might be a week behind, but that won't bother me. That's helped me decide to go straight on now :-)

Good if you use a phone, not so if you use an iPod apparently (thanks for the post though, would have used if I had an iPhone): Customer Reviews NOT FOR IPOD USERS!?!?!? by xxxx I thought the concept was a good idea BUT it is a little unfair for individuals with an iPod to have to pay for the PRO version in order to track…

Are you keeping a mood diary? My daughter has bi-polar and has to fill one out to help her realise what may be a trigger for episodes. Just a suggestion, to use alongside your MFP reporting to track 'triggers'. Loads of luck to you, I hope you get the surgery and recover quickly :-)

Fantastic! Well done!!

I've found that pulses and beans help a lot, mixing the insoluble with soluble fibres, plus drinking loads of water. If all else fails I take aloe vera capsules - not 'aggressive' for the want of better words! Good luck :-)

152.1 (so that's 152 for me as my scales round :-) Good plan!
-
Brilliant idea. We all have exercise DVD's etc that just don't suit us - and we're on one income soon so I'd love the opportunity to swap things out :-) *edited for typo!*

Yes, it tells you what to do - I'm so rubbish if I can do it you can - the controller speaks to you so you know what's going on. I watch big to slim programmes at the same time to motivate me!
-
I have one and used it a lot to start with - and I like the free step if I couldn't get to the gym as you can watch the tv at the same time so you don't get bored! I bought a cheerleader game as I thought I could do it with the step daughter but it's too faffy, but I like the Active games too - I don't have Zumba but loads…

I was around 30, getting really fed up - but I then went to the next size down again within 10lbs I'd say. Just initially not losing around my middle so not dropping a size! I'd buy eBay/supermarket/sale clothes to keep the cost down if you know you won't be wearing it for long! Congrats on the loss :-)

Agree. I've stayed thin before on under 1,000. I truly believe I have damaged my metabolism as a result. Not being critical, but I'm finding friends are losing much better than I am believe this is the reason.

Yes, hoping to do the Eastleigh one in January with a couple of friends - our first 5k!

bump to read tomorrow, off to bed. Thanks!

Sorry! Used this too - not sure if any tape would do but it gave me a bit of confidence after resting it to start again: http://www.sporttape.co.uk/

Oh also - are you holding the stretches long enough - and doing sets? Mine's been so much better since I did a regimented 10 mins of stretching afterwards, and built up to holding each stretch for 30 seconds, repeating three times.
-
Bleugh they are horrible. I do one run out of three on grass or the treadmill, and this stretch works really well for me (it's a bit like soft porn but it does work hahaha) I do it every night - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hafXc1THHiI - I have anterior shin splints so I think you've got to experiment a bit. If I feel…

I did it twice years ago, once it went really well, the second time - well, let's say the digestive issues made me give up during the induction phase! It works really well for some people though, but one thing I would say is drink loads and loads of water or the ketosis won't happen, and try not to eat the processed meats…

1. Bring me a tea when you're up, if I'm not awake I can't wake you can I? 2. Are they going to be nice to me? 3. Teach them yourself as it's that important Are any women still living by these rules? What do they get out of the deal?

Be perfectly charming for the first hour, but quiet...and then slam back the Corona's. Then think that because the girl takes off her glasses in the car it's because she wants to put out....and, no, she won't want to 'go somewhere quiet' ;-) It's also obvious that you don't stand and quite literally stare at her backside…

Yup be careful what you wish for WFH to me equals heating on all day, no lunch, no-one to break the monotony, an expectation to cover broadband and telephone costs along with unpaid over time being the norm. Not moaning (much ;-) ) but I don't think those who homework all the time (not me) get an easy deal and it's very…

iPod and focusing on things in the distance. In my head my runs go bin. Bus stop. Life belt. Pier. Lamp post. With me persuading myself to just get to the next stop - basically I focus on that item and just zone out ;-)

Don't forget the stress hormone cortisol causes you to store fat around your tummy too - so try and make sure you are getting plenty of sleep, exercise and anything else you need to de-stress. Well done for all your hard work :-)
