  • You can totally do this! With your attitude and willingness to work hard, I have no doubt that you'll succeed. I too was diagnosed with fibro - 8 years ago. For me, committing to fitness and nutrition was the KEY to getting rid of the pain and exhaustion that consumed me daily since well before my diagnosis. Today marks 1…
  • I just completed CLX in January of this year. With any program, the first 4 weeks you typically won't see results. It's an adjustment period, so it's totally normal to see very little change during the first part of the program. I saw no results in the first 4 weeks of CLX, but I had amazing results overall. To lose 4…
  • One thing is, I add more liquid than they suggest in the recipes. I use chocolate vegan, but my go to recipe would work - I've used it every day for a year and I still love this recipe! 1 scoop Shakeology 12 ounces unsweetened plain almond milk (or any other milk you prefer) 4-5 ice cubes OR 4 ounces water 1 banana 1 tsp…
  • What about just setting your profile to private? That keeps people you aren't connected to from seeing your posts and would therefore eliminate the sales-y stuff. I also like the direct response of "no thanks, I don't want any". I have people doing it to me all the time and I just say "not interested". Just get to the…
  • I was diagnosed with fibro 8 years ago and have seen a complete reversal of symptoms since I changed my diet and started exercising a year ago. When I say complete reversal, I mean COMPLETE. I haven't had symptoms in a year. Clean eating and exercise are the KEY. Keep going and you WILL see improvements!
  • You will definitely see results! I run Facebook accountability groups and I actually just started one last week with a couple of people that are doing X3. I find it helpful to have daily support and accountability. Shoot me a message if you want to join!
  • I'm in week 7 of P90X3 and I absolutely love the program. It's one of my favorites so far. And you definitely get results!
  • I'm in week 7 of P90X3 and I absolutely love the program. I immediately felt a difference in my overall fitness, strength, and athleticism from the program. You definitely start seeing HUGE results in Block 2 with weight loss, etc. It's one of my favorite programs to date. Haven't finished it yet, so I don't have my final…
  • It sounds like you're a month into X3? If so it's totally normal to see no weight loss yet. Tony just did a video about this in fact. The first 30 days of a program are the "adjustment period" and you will typically see no change in weight or measurements. When you start Block 2, you should really see some changes. I'm in…
  • This is awesome! Great job. I'm currently doing P90X3 as well (I'm in week 6) and am also seeing great results as well. Keep up the good work!
  • ^^This It really does all come down to you. I'm a huge believer in writing down goals. This helps you commit to them. I keep mine posted at my desk so I am always reminded to keep my eyes on the prize, so to speak. In addition to the above suggestions, I'd recommend finding an accountability partner. Someone with similar…
  • I agree with much of what has been said here. Shakeology isn't designed to make you lose weight, it's more about giving you the nutrition you need to improve overall health and support your healthy weight loss. It will help with energy, at least it has for me, but the key to weight loss is consistency with your workouts…
  • I've been vegan for a year and was vegetarian for about 3 years prior, and another 5 years in my 20s. I'm sticking with vegan now. It works for me!
  • SW: 170 CW: 138 MW: 130 GW: 125 ? My original goal was 140, now I'm not entirely sure of my "ideal weight" so I'm going with 125. But I'm not stuck on a number at this point. My journey wasn't really about weight, but a health condition called fibromyalgia. I kicked it out of my life. So it's hard for me to get too caught…
  • Fun! @noexcusescoach I'll go add you now
  • Hi! The gym is absolutely not necessary to gain muscle, lose weight or achieve any other fitness goals. It's all about personal preference. Some people love the gym, some people love working out at home. All of my results have come from doing at home workout programs like Turbo Fire, ChaLEAN Extreme, and P90X3. I also am…
  • I'm in week 5 of X3 so I figured I'd join you all. I absolutely love the program and am definitely seeing results. Looking forward to my progress photos at the end of Block 2. Block 1 progress was way more than I expected. Today was Incinerator, which is a tough one, but I love working with weights so I'm a happy - but…
  • T25 is amazing. So is P90X3. It all depends on your goals. T25 is more cardio-heavy, whereas X3 is more balanced with strength training - cardio - stretch workouts. Either program is totally worth the investment! Good luck
  • I workout at home using DVD programs and have had incredible results. The gym isn't for everyone. You can get everything you need if you choose a program you will enjoy. You can also get support/motivation by creating a thread here or looking for online support groups on Facebook, etc. That always helps. Really, it's just…
  • Like what most other people said, I will say there is no jump start. The key is CONSISTENCY. Get moving, keep moving, and keep your nutrition in check. That will get you sustained weight loss. I also think it's important to vary your workout routine. Elliptical is great, but you need to add other things in to work all…
  • Thank you so much! It's been quite a journey so far  Now I'm working on the 6-pack!
  • Hi! As long as you are exercising and eating well (with a calorie deficit), you WILL lose the weight. Often, if we do the same things for an extended period of time (i.e. the same type of exercise without ever changing it up), our bodies get used to it and can come to somewhat of a plateau. Make sure you're adding in…
  • Count me in. I'm all about being around positive people
  • I'm midway through week 5 of P90X3. The first 4 weeks are generally considered an adjustment period (Tony just did a video about this a couple of weeks ago in fact). In other words, seeing little or no measurable results is not unusual during this time frame. I really would expect your results to start showing in the next…
  • Hi! I'm currently on week 5 of P90X3. I absolutely love the program. X3 starts out with a relatively easy block to get you used to the program. It's tough, but very doable and almost any fitness level. There are modifications for every workout. To me, you can definitely make it work. I'm 41 and was diagnosed with…
  • Some people are just negative. Just ignore the a$$hat and keep doing what you're doing. And obviously he has issues with his own eating habits and this is how he's dealing with it. Which is why he's an a$$hat. Keep up the good work in your journey!
  • Hi Pattie, I was diagnosed with fibro 8 years ago. And you're right, giving in to the pain only makes it worse. I started my journey early 2013 and have had incredible success in keeping my symptoms at bay with nutrition and exercise. After identifying my trigger foods and eliminating them, I ended up vegan and I eat…
  • Hi! I was diagnosed with fibro 8 years ago. I started my health/fitness journey early 2013 and have had incredible results. I've lost 30 pounds so far, with only a few more to lose. But my main progress has been with my symptoms. I completely changed my eating habits. I already had pretty decent nutrition, but I went 100%…
  • I prefer to workout at home. I use DVD workout programs like Turbo Fire, P90X3, etc. I've had incredible results. But you have to find what you prefer. Some people really love going to the gym, others don't. I'm not a fan of gyms. You can have success either way, but the most important thing for either option is…
  • I did Chalean Extreme (CLX as I like to call it) right after Turbo Fire and I honestly was so worried about enjoying CLX after doing an intense cardio program. I thought I would be bored. It was not an issue at all. At first, it was strange to not be doing HIITs and such, but the program is so effective! And there are the…
