She also claims the only reason women have periods is because we have " Toxic " bodies. She lost her periods for nine months because of her diet or lack of body fat ( Im thinking ) and says it was " the best thing" . Eesh. She is very extreme and a dangerous role-model, IMO

I like having friends, it keeps the ideas fresh and I laugh a lot. I do agree that the number is not of any importance. You can have a great experience with any amount, however it is really difficult to keep up with a friend list that is too big :)

I'd say it's within a normal range. I went up 7.5 pounds in the span of 2 days, last week and eventually it left, 3-4 days later. ( Actually, my weight went down 2, up 1, down 4 and up 2 ) As the others have said, there are many reasons our weight fluctuates and it could be one or a combination of. You will drive yourself…

First of all, you really should see your DR. Second, If you search the forums for protein snacks etc, you will see tons of healthy, high protein ideas :) Third, there is nothing wrong with what you;re eating now, just add in the protein and some veggies and you will have a well balanced diet. That sentence that pops up every time you complete your day, isn't accurate for some. There are those who it seems to be spot-on, others not so much. If what you're doing seems to be working for you, keep on keepin on but maybe just don't complete your diary? It's not necessary. Hope that helps?

This has gotten really outrageous... Can I ask, OP? Are you asking, because the "you should weigh _____ Lbs " under your food list, says you should be losing but you're not?

I have a hard time making homemade cookies, as well, and not only eating a LOT of them, but eating the dough, the sugar etc. Its usually a disaster for me, calorie-wise. That being said, if it does happen, I log it and make sure I am a little more diligent the next day.

I like cucumbers and hummus as well.. ( Thank you Lifting4Lis! ) 2 tbsp ( which is a good dollop ) is 60-70 calories and a half cup of sliced cucumbers is only 8 calories :)

I was the same way before joining MFP and learning the right way..I wanted the easiest, most magic solution. If you told me I was to stand on my head and eat woodchips to lose ten pounds, I would have ran home to try it.

Yep its most likely your TOM and Water. I was in a mild hysteria last week ( even KNOWING logically why ) and went up 7.5 lbs over night and it stayed for 6 days, down 4 , up 1 then down 3. Its normal. ...and like Lifting4Lis said, unless you ate THAT many calories up and above your TDEE, it aint fat :flowerforyou:

Thanks SO much for replying! I had a feeling I should raise the amount of calories. As for the reset, I started the thread with that intention but after I hit send, it was too late to change :blushing: I don't do a lot of cardio, per say, just walking and I use free weights 2-3 times a week ( though I'm just a newbie there…
