  • Did you really just ask that question?
  • Can't you just get a hazelnut iced coffee with splenda? I don't get flavoured coffee at dunkin' but I use their hazelnut blend at home, that'll definitely save you calories/sugar if you can have them use the hazelnut coffee instead of the syrup!
  • Yes! Love them and I agree on the chocolate hazelnut. Soooo delicious (and better than Nutella, I think!)
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh cranberries 8-10 medium apples 1 tbsp lemon juice 2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 cup water I threw it all together in the crockpot for 6-8 hours (on low) overnight. So good, no added sugar or anything. So delicious! Makes 8 servings 67 calories, 17g carbs, 0g fat, 0g protein, 2mg sodium and 4g fiber
  • Thanks ladies! I literally just typed that, checked my phone and had a voicemail from the job I want in MA. They're running my background check now and intend on making an offer as soon as that comes through. I have a Top Secret clearance so I can't foresee anything in the last 2 1/2 years (since I got my TS) that would…
  • I'm going to be continue to be selfish (for good reason I think). I got fired when I showed up for work yesterday, effective immediately. It's undoubtedly due to my clash with my boss and because I was in my probationary period, I'm not entitled to severance or anything of the like. Obviously it's for the best as I hated…
  • Back from my lovely long weekend. Wanted to get in 20-25 running miles over the weekend, but I was busy and the conditions were nearly unbearable to run in. My winter running gear (although nice and costly) is just no match for the conditions I faced over the weekend. I did manage to run 17ish miles though, so not too…
  • I had a hard time initially changing my battery (FT60) but read that a 2 Euro coin fits great into the slot. And it did! Just ordered the extra seal/battery from Polar and it was so simple!
  • I don't have one...but I've noticed that trend among friends who have Timex HRMs. That's why I got a Polar:wink:
  • Honestly, get a Polar with a chest strap. I have an FT60 and love it. I also just bought a Garmin for my running. Be cautious when it comes to HRMs without chest straps and honestly, I've seen some really bizarre numbers coming from Timex/Sportsline users. Your much better off spending your money on something accurate -…
  • I fail again with keeping up. I'll be non-selfish next week I promise. Turbo Fire 45EZ + HIIT 15 + Stretch 10 last night. B*tch of a workout after Wednesday's killer workout. My right ankle and knee were given out with all the plyo going on, but I stuck with it (stupidly). Was up packing until after midnight last night and…
  • Usually 7, I should knock it down to 6 week after week...but I just can't.
  • I log it all. Tea and coffee even when I don't put anything in them and they're 0 calories. I just think it's a good habit, plus I like to track my caffeine, so I can try and compensate with additional water. To each his/her own though. I know a lot of people with public diaries fudge their numbers because they want to…
  • I'm at 50-25-25 and lower than my goal weight (currently at 119). But I highly encourage you to eat more protein. I'm not sure how hard you're working out, but protein is GOOD for you and is hard for most people to take in too much protein. Also, you can certainly get 130g of protein without a supplement. Cottage cheese,…
  • Cheapest way? And a fairly accurate way, download imapmyrun or runkeeper to your smartphone (assuming you have one). The GPS feature will be able to give you pace, time and distance.
  • Get fitted at a running store (NOT a sporting goods store). You'll invest around $100 (give or take) but try and look at it as money you won't be spending on chiropractors and physical therapists to fix the damage caused by running improper shoes.
  • I'm here....sorta. Figured out that my feeling ill is directly related to my office. I took a snow day yesterday as I tried to drive in the snow, only went 12 miles in an hour (my commute is 36 miles/way) and decided it was too treacherous to keep going. Headache was barely there yesterday and after 6 hours at the office…
  • More races! I ran 12 in 2010, goal is to run 13 this year...including my first half (actually, 2-3) and a full. Also trying to run 1000 miles and run races in 5 new states! I agree on the goals though, I've been setting monthly running mile goals and that definitely makes me get outside in the cold weather and get it done.…
  • I still feel really weird/bad today. I forgot to mention before, but I've had a headache since Friday night. I used up all my Advil at my office last week and didn't bring anymore in...gah. I'm definitely in survival mode and not doing much at work. I did feel better last night for a while, so I did ChaLean Extreme Burn…
  • About 75% of my snacks are fruits/veggies. I also get in at least one serving of fruit/veggie at each meal...usually 2. It's hard to completely do away with processed foods, but I do the best I can...and I don't eat fast food (ughhhh disgusting habit!).
  • I'm here. Going to be really selfish as I am way MFP Light on the weekends and I've been having issues all morning with nausea/dizziness/headaches. I think it's tied to low blood sugar and my heart issue, but I need to get it checked out...sigh. Took my Garmin for its first 2 runs over the weekends. 7.61 mile run (5.07 of…
  • I absolutely hated it at first, but now I love it. It really depends on the brand and store brands are terrible in my experience. Barilla Plus and Ronzoni Healthy Harvest penne rigate are both very good in my opinion. It takes some time to get used to it though - so maybe use half white/half whole wheat and then switch…
  • I don't trust Splenda/artificial sweeteners. Sometimes I just get it with skim and put my own sugar in in an effort to cut back a bit on how much sugar I have. But I really didn't taste much of a difference going from cream to skim....definitely can taste the sugar cutback though!
  • Dunkin' is the only coffee I'll drink really...Starbucks and McD's are terrible, IMO...bitter blech! You can switch the cream to skim (I used to be a "regular" girl too as I'm from Boston) and save about 120 calories and get better quality coffee. And yes, "regular" is a New England thing. Lived in Virginia and DC for…
  • https://www.dunkindonuts.com/aboutus/nutrition/Product.aspx?Category=Beverages&id=DD-662 That's for a small (10 oz) and a large is 20 oz, so double that and you get 240 calories.
  • "Regular" coffee is a New England term...not an East Coast term, FYI. Is the nutrition info from McDonald's and Dunkin' websites? Or from the MFP database? I used to get "regular" too, but now I just do skim & sugar from DD for less than 100 calories.
  • I am a major grazer during the workweek. I work 40 hours and 95% of the time am sitting on my computer. I eat well, but I eat a lot! Clementines, no salt added cottage cheese, strawberries, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, apple, Greek yogurt, Wasa crispbread, carrots and hummus are on my snack list for today. I also eat whole…
  • Don't avoid any fruit. Don't eat 12 bananas a day because the sugar/carbs will cause you to go over. But don't treat any food full of nutrients as "off limits". Avocadoes, in particular are full of good healthy fats. Don't eat a full avocado a day, but weigh it (if you can) or just eat a 1/4 of one a day!
  • Running store ---> gait analysis For the love of God, do not get sneakers at Payless for running. Flats are fine. Sneakers that are cheaply made will never do your running or your body any good.
  • Full fat is the way to go with the butters as only 2g of the 16g of fat in 2 tbsp is saturated and the rest are poly and mono fats which are SO SO SO GOOD for you. Plus in order to remove the fat, they have to process it more:grumble: And during the process antioxidants are removed as a result. I am certainly not on the…
