Have you had a fill or two I presume? I don't hav lap band but had gastric bypass....it will take a bit for your body to recover from that sort of surgery. At first you may only be able to consume that little bit of calories but eventually as you heal that should increase. Talk to your surgeon about what is expected as far…

Love the flat out! Bake it in the oven a bit firstto make it crispy and then pull out and top it with what you want then pop bake in the oven to melt it all. YUMMO! And the flat out is low carb-low calorie....gives more room for the goood toppings!

It won't hurt to take B-12 supplement. What your body does not use it excretes in urine anyway. The B-12 sublingual are easy (I hate pills and have to take vits for life since weightloss surgery). You can get them at Walmart. I take oneevery other day since my chewable vits also have like 500% of my daily allowance, but…

It takes a VEERRRRYYYY long time for the brain to catch up with the body. I still feel like a 400 pound person most days. Like the biggest person in the room...even though I KNOW I am not....but that is how I still see myself.

You might at first but it won't last. Eventually your body will become accustimed to eating so little and will adjust. You then will either stall out or lose at a snails pace. In addition, if and when you finally meet your goal you will have shot your metabolism out and will then be left with eating lik that for life.…

If you are starting out on the larger side...losing that amount of weight that quickly is fairly normal....as is gaining 10 pounds. It is not weight gain but water weight. The larger you are the more water weight to lose/gain. At my highest I was nearly 400 pounds. And, yes from day to day my weight could fluctuate that…

MFP really does make it that easy. I use to HATE logging/journalling my food intake no matter how many times my doctor would suggest it. It was too time consuming....laborious. Carrying a little notebook everwhere and writing things down all the time. A couple weeks ago I found this app on my android phone and LOVE it. It…

As I was losing weight after surgery I did a few things. 1. I would buy one pair of basic pants and one pair of jeans that fit well. I then paired with shirts....shirts tend to last longer because you can cynch those bad-boys! As you lose weight....show off that figure! I loved when I could get a couple of different belts…

Iuse crystal light or the generic equivalent...It doesn't take much to add a bit off flavor to the water. You can use those to go packets and just sprinkle a bit of it in a water bottle, not necessarily the whole tube. Some will say the artificial sweeteners in it are bad for you but everyone does what they gotta do.

It is hard fr me to get enough iron from the food I eat so I take a supplement (I am also a bariatric patient to I have to supplement for life since my body does not absorb all the nutrients frm the food I eat). I would find out what your labword says and then ak about an iron supplement. B12 helps with energy too.

As you get more fit it will take MORE to really FEEL it. Also epends on the workout....more strenuous the work out the more you will FEEL it. Personally I don't feel the need to HURT after every work out. IF that were the case I would never work out. I like to FEEL it...if that makes sense...but I don't need to barely be…

If you are trying to lose half your body weight then it could be correct...for now. eventually as you lose weight you will aso need to lower your calorie consumption to account for that. A larger person needs more calories to maintain than a smaller person. So as you lose your calorie needs will change as well. Also, did…

Could also be anemic? Have you had a work up lately? Whn my iron is low...I get utterly exhausted. Lay my head on my desk and nod off kind of exhausted. Exhaustion then causes me to munch because my body thinks it needs fuel to stay awake (also the reason many sleep deprived individuals are over-weight I think). Low B12…

Also, check the battery on your scale. Most likely a big loss at first is water weight and it will slow down to a normal range quickly. Not to offend in any way either...check the weight limitations on your scale. When I was at my heaviest there was not a scale on the general market that had the weight capacity to properly…

I have not read too many responses yet but I did look at your food diary. Eat more protein and less prcessed carbs. I am not saying avoid all carbs. Just the processed ones....mac and cheese, white rice, pasta...the starbucks is FULL of sugar too. I love my starbucks but I get a sugar free caramel soy latte (in summer on…

I didn't even think about the HR monitor!!! I bought the AE active sports gam for my wii....and haven't even used it yet! Now I am gonna have to break it out!

Don't overwhelm yourself. Follow what MFP has set for you and as you lose weight then make adjustments. Start by changing one thing at a time. Make batter food choices. try to eliminate processed foods and eat cleaner...proteins, veggies, fruit. You should not feel like you are starving yourself either. 1200 calories is…

Bump... I want to get one but don't want to go broke doing it either so I am curious about this as well.

I have read a lot of people have purchases a heart rate monitor that will give them more accurate readings on their calorie expenditure. Sometimes I think others may over-estimate it. Personally I don't have time for 3 hour work out sessions....or if I made time I would be a walking zombie. That's just me. I try everyday…

Could be many things...are you eating enough...are you truelly exercising off 500 calories worth, what type of foods are you eating, how much salt or sugar, etc. You could be under eating or over eating...measure you food to make sure. Guessing a portion sizes gets us all into trouble. Even nutritionists have been known to…

exercisetv.tv has workout videos I am at my office alone today and just did her 2 mile walk in 30 some odd minutes. I was sweating...did have to pause twice to answer the phone but hey...got some exercise in while at my office and normally I am just sitting at my desk all afternoon.

I am with Carrielevans! Work out more!!! 1. when yo are working out you aren't munching and 2. gives you some wiggle room for those munchies! That is what is saving me yesterday and today! When I get home (since I coulnd not at lunch today) I am getting in some cardio to make room for some munching....I was halfway through…

Welcome! This place is great for keeping me accountable for what I eat. Esp with the android app I have no excuse not to know exactly what I am eating coloriewise. I am not a big fan of exercising....I try to find something I have fun at right now. As I get into a better routine I find it gets easier but I still struggle…

THere are so many factors to take into account...genetics, the amount of weight to lose, the speed at which you lose it, exercise, etc. Sometimes it just cannot be avoided. It can be helped some with exercise but if you lose a LOT it cannot be avoided. My advice...start saving now for plastic surgery. I will never be able…

One word...Girdle Or...Spanx After lsoing as much as I did....I wear one everyday. To look at my pic (that is pre-baby....need to lose 20 more to get back there)...you would never know what I was hiding under those clothes.

I'm with you Trina....I don't think I weighed 125 when I was 12!!!! No way in hell I will get there at 39 almost 40! I want to get back to my pre-preggo weight of 170 ish and Lord-forbid I may ever se 150 ish...I will dance naked in the steets! LOL

Some exercise is better than none. But, you will eventually have to step it up. And, you will find as you lose weight, you will feel better and WANT to step it up. Not to mention the boredom factor. I get bored with any one thing quickly and need the change.

I would think that most likely the disease was well in it's process before the surgery. Those re diseases that take years to be diagnosed in some cases because the symptoms are sometimes hidden or masked by something else. Genetics is probably another factor. You can check out obesityhelp.com and poke around their forums…

It all depends on HOW MUCH weight is lost, how fast, your age, your genetics, etc. There are som many factors no one person can really answer this for you.... I can say, yes I have loose skin...but, hell, I lost over 200 pounds with gastric bypass. Losing that amount of weight it is inevitiable. Your body cannot stretch to…

But...I do gotta mention...if it's the 5 day pouch test you are wanting to do....keep in mind...some consider it a "re-set" for your pouch....I personally consider it just another fad diet like slimfast or what not. MFP is the best thing I found when I came across this android app for my phone. I never kept track of my…
