I started at 89.3kg. I lost 2.2kg my first week. Since then I have gained 200g each week since. I am currently 87.5. I was just wondering if I am just eating too much on my non-fast days and my fast days. I worked out my TDEE using the above website too. Thanks for posting Your BMI is: 28.7 Your BMR is: 1571 Your TDEE is:…

I bought The Fast Diet Recipe Book by Mimi Spencer. It has lots of great recipes in it and I can't cook without a recipe! My last fast day dinner I had Turkey burgers (minus the bread), salsa, green salad leaves and a cob of corn. All totalled 333 calories and I could not eat it all! My hubby and 18 yo son loved it…

I thought I put my weekly challenge in here a couple of days ago ... its gone missing. Anyhow I plan on reducing my alcohol intake this week. :drinker:

Hi lizz2013, I don't do a lot of exercise at the moment. I know I should. I have a gammy back which pain radiates down my hip and into my thigh. My chiro has given me exercises to do which eases the pain and hope to be up and about in a few weeks. Walk small distances but not at a fast pace, pretty sedentary at the moment…

Third week in and so disappointed I gained another 200gms. Week 1, 2.2kg loss. Weeks 2 and 3 I have gained 200gms each week! I do have a supposed low thyroid - another check in 3 months will determine whether I need to go on tablets or not. One good thing though I am so happy to report that I have lost a total of 5 cms.…

Hi, I'm in Adelaide too paulperryman (well south of) on the Fleurieu, feel free to add me. I am a friend of Karenwantsabikini too. She is a great inspirator. Hi everyone. I have been doing MFP for a couple of years. Just started eating 5:2. Have a low thyroid so it is hard for me to lose weight. Not on tablets yet. Have a…

Hi all, My name is Leonie. I started 5:2 3 weeks ago. I feel great. I lost 2.2kg the very first week. I gained a little the next but probably that was due to me 'stuffing' up one of my fasting days (miscalculated my calories). I am looking forward to my third weigh in on Saturday, and I will measure my waist again too. I…

Hi, I am back at it again too. I feel like food is my drug I binge and keep telling myself I look ok but when I look in the mirror or try clothes on in a shop I know I am not. I pride myself on cooking and eating as healthy, economically and envrionmentally as I can, and in saying that I try to source my products close to…

Hi kdv160, I am the same - just want to be comfortable in my body and look better in my clothes! I lost a good 10 kg when I last used MFP. I have re-connected today to get stuck back into it. You can add me as a friend if you like. I have to do this too, and it is much easier with like minded people. It is a really good…

OK I cooked the Cabbage Bake tonight ..... it was edible but my 17 yr old son didn't like it (not unusual!!). My husband went back for seconds (but he will eat anything). I probably won't make it again, no offence - just not sure if I didn't make the right substitutions or used the right ingredients fullstop. I used the…

Gall stones??

Mmmm Can't wait to try the shrimp recipe (or as we call them here in Australia -prawns). What is the campbells cheese soup in the Cabbage Bake recipe? We don't have that here - what could I substitute?
-
Aaaahhhhhh I mucked up on my first try. The chicken breasts I had defrosted turned out to be just a simple salad - its too hot here where I live to COOK dinner when I get home from work. Today we reached 36C , yesterday we had a 42C day. We went out for Mexican last night - I had a brown rice side and a chicken enchilada…

Interesting idea and I have everything in the pantry/fridge/freezer for the chicken/rice recipe to do tonight. I will have to substitute the brands etc as I am in Australia - but the general idea of the recipe is all I need. I am just back after a 6 month break and need all the help I can get ..... AGAIN!

Yep, happens to me to Karen. I went off milk around my early 40's. I now have black coffee, and with my cereal I have yoghurts. I was diagnosed with IBS. I can tolerate a little ice cream, but not cream. I can tolerate a little milk - maybe once a week on cereal but I tend not to I just got used to yoghurt. I have a…

It happens to me too. Not so much the weight but in photos I notice it. I feel really proud that although my scales don't tell me I am losing a great deal of weight (tending to lose some then gain some) my body feels really good. I am down a dress size, sometimes at a slight squeeze I can get another size down too. But in…

When you get up in the middle of the night, resist the urge to eat but have a glass of water instead. I read somewhere that most of the time people think they are hungry they are really only thirsty. Have a glass or even two glasses beside your bed or already set up on the kitchen bench so when you go to have your midnight…

I have a Polar FT7 and love it. Keeps accurate count (when against the machines at the gym) so I know I can rely on the machines if I leave my HRM at home and I can rely on the HRM when I am just exercising at home. I did see on TV the other day they did a road test on HRM's. The Polar came up the best and easiest to use,…

Great advice. All of these things are so true. Its not a diet - it is a lifestyle change and for most of us, the way we are doing it is working, so it must be good for us. Missford07 I don't think she meant weigh yourself in the kitchen - 15electric means to weigh what you are eating  , and yes it certainly does…

Oooh Megsta. Try Sweet Lips by Gossips, Sth East South Aust. And the best thing - $4.95 or less (when you buy 6 bottles) at Dan Murphys!!! Another nice sweet white is Lindemans Porphry - a little expensive but worth the treat - $5 to $6- also at Dan Murphys. :-)

Perhaps you are not eating enough. I know this sounds silly, but really its true. Have you looked at your settings and made sure you have put in correctly your weekly exercise goals and also don't do the maximum weight loss. Try a lesser weight, rejig your calories so you eat more and I bet it will work. By adding more…

Mix it up a bit. I am no where near my goal and plateued. But I re-jigged my exercise, mixed it up a bit and dropped my expected weight loss in my settings. My calories increased and I lost weight last week and am on a high to lose some this week too.

Thanks everyone for your advice. Yes I drink plenty of water, I don't feel dizzy, nauseous or fatigued. So I'll just go straight ahead and keep doing what I'm doing.

I did use my own treadmill for a while but the motor blew up. I love going to the gym and don't want to give it up, I just put up with my sweat and redness. It is just sometimes embarassing when you flick your head and everyone gets drenched! I have noticed not many people stay near me for long - Is that a good or bad…

Yaaay - I am not alone, well you never are on MFP  . Thanks everyone for your replies. Trisha and Lisa, yep my head/hair is like I just got out of the shower! Everyone was most helpful and yes I will still be going to the dr.

Wow they look really good on their own. We don't have anything like that here except for very buttery and high calorie french croissants. These look more pastry/bread dough like. Thanks for sharing

It really looks yummy. From Australia I am not sure what you mean when you say crescent roll. Is it like a Croissant? I suppose if I can't find something similar here I could use filo pastry and make it like a parcel :-)

I work on 250ml size glass with when you add up 8 glasses that would give you 2 litres of water. So I suppose if you are not familiar with mls and litres perhaps a smaller sized glass.

Just for the record - the HRM doesn't like the spa

I forgot to mention my daughter is an apprentice chef which makes it worse, becuase yes you would think she would help prepare tea!!!! She used to before she worked but now it seems too much bother especially with BF around. If the BF was not over she would have happily had eggs and helped prepare it. But my dilemma Holton…
