I've made this version before and it tastes EXACTLY the same. 95 calories per biscuit. Really, really good. http://www.eat-yourself-skinny.com/2011/03/garlic-cheddar-biscuits.html

I actually have the opposite problem - I eat TOO MUCH protein, a lot of the time! I eat a lot of eggs, tuna, chicken, cheese (you mentioned that you need to have it melted - is string cheese an option?), turkey, nut butter (almond or cashew is good). Baked beans are great, if you like those, but the downside is that they…

My ex-husband used to eat those nasty little cans of Vienna sausages. All I had to do was take one look inside of that can and I was like, "Oh, HELL, no." I've never had most wild game (deer, etc.), but I'd be willing to try. I did have marinated kangaroo meat once while I was visiting Australia. I actually really liked it…

I'm planning on having an omelette tonight for dinner, as a matter of fact. With cheddar cheese, peppers, onions and mushrooms. Lots and lots of peppers and onions and mushrooms. I eat about a dozen a week and my cholesterol is great. Never had an issue. Eggs are probably the definition of "the" perfect food. But with that…

I have a Breville combination cooker where you can sear meat in the pot and then add your ingredients right after it and slow-cook your dish - no extra pans necessary. I love this thing and have no idea of how I lived without it before. It also pressure cooks, too, and it's a rice cooker as well. Best gift I ever received!…

You're going to hear wildly different opinions on this one, I'm afraid. For me, personally, I like them and they help with my protein and fiber requirements. My favorites are Apple Pie, Chocolate Brownie and the double chunk chocolate one. The Lemon Cream Pie and Banana Nut Muffin is abominable. The rest are just "eh" for…

I work full time, in grad school, AND commute 1.5 hours a day - so I can completely relate to the "no time to eat" thing. I'll usually have a piece of fruit on the train (something easy to carry, like a banana), then when I get to work I'll have yogurt or string cheese to supplement. That way I'm not raging and starving by…

I've tried nearly all of them (but for the S'mores bar, that's new and I can't find it anywhere yet). I've only had them straight out of the pack, no baking or anything. My absolute favorite one is Apple Pie, no question about it. Chocolate Brownie and Double Chocolate Chunk aren't far behind. The worst ones - Lemon Cream…

From my admittedly limited Spanish, the poster is basically saying that it (Herbalife) works for them, their whole family uses it, they've been using it for eight years, but judge for yourself, etc. In other words, a bunch of hooey. I still advocate eating real food over these shake things. Reminds me of when SlimFast was…

I second the breakfast burrito idea. I'm currently eating a brand called "Good Food Made Simple". Wrap burrito in paper towel, microwave, eat. Total time: 90 seconds. And so good. I also have protein powder handy. Throw banana in Nutribullet, throw in a scoop of chocolate protein powder, blend. Total time: 60…

Perhaps not, but I still choose not to contribute to that business model. Your mileage may vary. (again, shrug)

I don't care about the quality (or not) of the food - I wouldn't go simply because of the humiliation factor. I've seen them weigh people on their scales and anyone over a certain weight (I think it's 325+, not sure) "eats for free". People stand at the windows outside and point and laugh. I think it's absolutely horrible.…

I started the process back in 2012, and I really DID need it at the time - I was 5'4" and 343 pounds, BMI of 60.8 - but my doctor said that she thought I could do it on my own. She made a "deal" with me - if I lost 30 pounds, on my own, she would sign the consent forms to go ahead with it. I made it as far as the last…

I don't really have much family left (only my mother and my husband), so we don't really cook a whole lot anymore. We do a seafood buffet at a VERY expensive restaurant that we normally can't afford during the year - I've found that doing this actually has cut WAY down on the amount of calories I usually eat on T-Day.…

I was about 260 in my senior year at a size 16 (almost 18). I'm now 233 and at a size 14, so I'm a bit smaller than I was then. My top weight was 343, though. Hoping to get to 143 eventually. Unfortunately, I'm only 5'4". >_< My pediatrician told my mother that I would be at LEAST 5'9" in adulthood. I'd LOVE to sue him,…

Agreed. I overdose on mushrooms this way (granted, I do LOVE mushrooms, but still, it's a good plan).

Girl Scouts Samoas. Thankfully they're available all of once a year. I try to avoid grocery stores in March or I'll see their little sweet, innocent faces beaming up at me... with evil purple boxes.

I'm a diabetic, so I really have to listen to what my body's telling me in order to keep myself feeling good. I've been known to go WAY too low on carbs before, unbelievably, which makes me feel shaky and sick. Last week was the first time I've ever had to eat glucose tablets, so I know that I pushed it too far somewhere.…

Agreed. When I started out, I was so scared to try that I just "knew" everyone was going to laugh at me, because, well... hey, everyone already was, right? I was diagnosed with general anxiety PLUS social anxiety (I still have a touch of the latter, but I deal with it), so I know what that's like! One thing that might help…

My neighborhood doesn't get any T-or-T's. The one or two kids that live here go elsewhere where it's more "lucrative", so we never have to buy any candy at all. Complete win.

I worked for Burger King long ago and far away, and I never had ANY trouble staying away from the food after doing a few manager shifts. I knew exactly how all of it arrived, how it had to be stored, how it was cooked; and I don't know about other locations, but the one I managed was downright awful. The freezers didn't…

I wish I could do water enhancers, but I'm allergic to something they put in them - not sure what. It doesn't matter what brand, either - Crystal Light, 4C, powdered or liquid - my throat is scratchy and dry and it feels like I've swallowed a load of broken glass. :( I either have to stick with diet soda or plain water.…

I've always preferred Diet Coke to the others. I actually sort of LIKE that "diet-y" taste - call me strange, but there you have it. I actually liked Tab a LOT more, but I can't hardly find it anymore.

I've found that I've actually grown to enjoy some foods that I thought I hated because I "forced" myself to eat them. Over time, I grew used to them... which slowly turned into, "hey, this is really good". Salmon would be one of them. I HATED salmon up until... oh, I'd say about six months ago. Then I thought, there's got…

T2D here. Diagnosed September 11, 2012; started at 343 and 5'4", BMI of 61, A1C a staggering 14.5. Started on Lantus, Novolog and Metformin (4 shots a day). Now 235 lb., (still losing), BMI under 40 (okay, it's still in the obese range, but hey - under 40 is an accomplishment), A1C now 4.9 with a daily BG average of 78. No…

Saving for Sunday breakfast. Thank you!

Diagnosed T2 in September of 2012. When I first started out, I ate a lot of meat and cheese (I hadn't really started the weight loss thing just yet, so I didn't limit myself back then). I lived off of mushroom, onion and cheese omelettes for weeks. :D Eggs are really good and they're very low carb. The rest of the…

I'm not unfriendly toward my X's, but neither am I particularly welcoming of their attention. It ended because it wasn't the right time or relationship for me, and while I wish them well, I don't particularly feel anything toward any of them. I don't like to say "apathetic", but that word pretty much covers it.

I've noticed that this is becoming more and more prevalent among people I know (family, friends, coworkers). No one wants the stuff anymore, which I guess is a good thing because it means that they're getting a healthier mindset as well. I don't bake anymore on the holidays but for maybe one single batch of cookies or one…

Donate the banana bread to a homeless organization or a soup kitchen. They could definitely use the food and it would be greatly appreciated. Might make you feel good, too.
