  • My daughter is named Appolonya Gabrielle and my son is Robert Dylan (Bob Dylan)...
  • And the coolest part was he had just had some skin cancer removed from his ear & wasn't wearing his glasses. He REALLY couldn't see much. :) I hugged that man, I adore him.
  • Found this at http://www.vanderbilt.edu/ans/psychology/health_psychology/chromiumpicolinate.htm "Despite rampant claims that chromium picolinate is a weight loss miracle that will melt fat, improve metabolism, and increase muscle mass, scientific evidence overwhelmingly indicates that the supplement does nothing of the…
  • One of my college professors worded it this way: There should be a place of sadness in the heart of every believer that Bin Laden and many like him never knew the saving grace of our Lord Jesus. Regardless of one's views of war and military participation, no Christ follower should revel in violent means of justice. May…
  • I'm in the Louisville area and would LOVE your 14's and 12's... Unfortunately, I don't have any smaller clothes to lend you.... got any ideas? I'm rotating out of sizes about every 6 weeks and i've been in a 16 for 2 weeks now. Started at a size 22. :)
  • Oooh, I like the almond milk suggestion.... will have to try that. Wonder what it would taste like if I used the dark chocolate flavored Silk almond milk???
  • The ones I used today were a little overripe - they've been in my freezer for 3 weeks. A little brownish but when I added the strawberries, it made it a beautiful pink color. I'm telling you, I was shocked at how yummy this stuff was! I'm totally going to stock up on bananas the next time they're on sale!
  • You look amazing... very inspiring...
  • I'm just trying to stay at my recommended calories - no particular diet plan. Eating fruits & veggies and meats. I have been really hungry for the past few days and really loaded up the last 2 days. I weigh everyday (I am aware that the body fluctuates and I only have one official weigh-in a week). It keeps me accountable…
  • Thank you!! Everybody has given me amazing advice and I'm anxious to get started again tomorrow - today was stinky...
  • Why not start now, even though you know it's going to be a tough week? It's going to get you in the habit and nobody will "fuss" at you b/c you're not really doing the program 100% until May 1st. It'll also start a momentum for you - you can do it!
  • Took me losing almost 15 pounds before I noticed a difference in how my clothes fit and I lost 24 pounds before anybody started noticing. It'll come.... give it time.
  • I binge - I haven't done it in the 3 months since I've started working on my health. My last binge was January 21st when we went to a pizza buffet for my husband's birthday. I never purged - I can't stand to throw up. But I have sat down & eaten an entire box of Little Debbie Swiss Roll Cakes in one sitting, followed by…
  • I'm not throwing in the towel but in the past, I've lost some weight, people started noticing & then I gave up, a little at the time. I don't want to be that person anymore.
  • I would eat it if you're craving it - can you cut it in 1/2 or 3rds and just eat part? OR you could always run up & down the stairs for 5 minutes for an additional quick 100 calories burned. :)
  • I have a B deficiency but was told that for b12 to be absorbed, you have to take all the b's together - in a B complex. If you don't have a deficiency, I wouldn't take the pills. Just keep doing what you're doing and making good food choices. You can do tihs!
  • Wow - really, I'm to try to burn 3500 this week??? I typically burn just under 2000 so this will be a huge push for me but I'm trying it. Count me in!
  • We once had a rat problem (due to a neighbor's hoarding issues) and we called the exterminator. He told us there wasn't much he could do for us but suggested we empty either the blue packets or the pink packets into a paper plate on the floor & they would consume it & be dead within days. It fries their blood vessels from…
  • I don't eat before workouts - I've done so 2 or 3 times and I feel faint, dizzy and sick. (Even when I eat an hour before I workout) I workout, cool down, take a shower & then eat my breakfast. Anything I eat before noon makes me feel ill.
  • Good idea 1. had a good workout this morning 2. i get to homeschool my kiddos in a few minutes 3. got to see my husband before he left for work 4. the sun is shining 5. i woke up this morning 6. found out I'll be on the photography team of a very large convention event... :)
  • bump - very interested in this!!
  • Just a note - I can't stand the Morning Star stuff - but I LOVE the Boca Burgers and the Quorn chick'n! I'm pretty picky when it comes to meat and the MorningStar stuff is just gross to me.
  • Thanks for all the input - I doubt it's a UTI - I have no pain or pressure, my energy is skyrocketing and my urine is clear. I do get up 1-2x a night and I typically go quite a large amount. On days I travel & don't drink as much, I don't go potty as much. I'm so glad to hear of so many others having this issue - I was a…
  • I work out every morning on my eliptical for 20 minutes (I burn about 300 calories). Then I do some walking 1-3 times per week depending on the weather and I try to do 1 yoga session through the week. I'm losing about 1.5 - 2 pounds per week.
  • I honestly drink nothing but water - every once in a while (like 1x a week) I'll drink a 3 oz. glass of orange juice. But I drink a LOT of water - I try to get in about 10 cups a day and some days I drink as much as 12-14. I can't handle caffeine so I avoid it altogether (with the exception of a little chocolate here &…
  • And I'm losing weight pretty quickly - about 2 lbs a week. I find that when my sodium is up, I retain it for about 24 hours and then pee like crazy the next day or 2.
  • I never have any pain during urination and I was treated for a UTI last November but the symptoms of what I had then are nothing like what I have now. I only drink water (no coffee, no tea, etc.) and I typically drink 8-13 8 oz. glasses a day.
  • I decided to stop using artificial sweeteners when we had a problem with rats (due to a neighbor's hoarding). We tried everything to kill them & the exterminator told us there was nothing he could do about them. Then he told us a trick... pour a bunch of packets of "either the pink stuff or the blue stuff, doesn't matter…
