Wow, I disappeared and missed all these comments 6 years ago lol

Oh, I loved Zumba! But it took up so much time! I was going twice a week, and it was another 2.5 - 3 hours after I worked all day. When I got my pup, I couldn't find it in my heart to leave him alone like that. I'm now taking walks with him, and added in cycling, which is giving me an amazing burn once a week. That class…

Haha, that's what I immediately thought of too...Goonies. One of my absolute favorite movies! Welcome :)
-
Good luck! I got through Week 3 and then my right knee and my shins started hurting because I did not have proper shoes, so I had to stop :( Once I get proper shoes, I'll be back up & running (literally lol).

I agree with MissMary...the shoes ARE a big part of the picture. I started the C25K several weeks ago. I wasn't having any problems at the beginning; however, as the running part got longer and the walking part shorter, I found my shins & knees killing me. I actually had to stop the program until I can get a better pair of…

Not sure what happened, but here's the picture again (I didn't remove it at all).

I have blue eyes and I love to travel lol

The ONLY piece of advice I can give you in regard to this is to listen to your body. A couple weeks ago, I also started the C25K; I do zumba 2 nights a week, and do yoga. All in all, I was only getting 1 day to rest as well. My right calf started feeling like it was getting real tight, almost like a charlie horse was in…

I start week 3 day 1 on Thursday; a little scared lol. ANYONE can feel free to send me a friend request so we can help encourage each other along this journey!

I just posted what my favorite new snack is...they're called Cinnamon Apple Straws. 38 of them for 130 calories (or somewhere around that). So good!
-
You and me both! I decided to start my week 2 on Tuesday (Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday). So, since I had 3 days between, I walked at a faster speed on a higher incline for 30 minutes to keep my legs limber :)
-
You will both, most definitely, get a crunch!
-
I would just pop 1/2 cup of kernels and then measure how many cups of POPPED corn it makes and decide how many of those cups you want to eat.
-
A 1/2 cup of kernels is more than a cup of popped corn
-
There's also one where you buy brownie mix and add black beans (pureed). I haven't tried them yet, but I want to!
-
Haha, how many calories you burn cleaning it all up?
-
I agree! I LOVE the Skinny Cow chocolates
-
I really want to see them; but they haven't been on any of the movie channels on cable yet (at least not that I've seen). I keep checking lol

CONGRATULATIONS! That's a huge feat! You should be very proud of yourself. I just completed week 1, so I have a long way to go. But hearing so many success stories gives me hope. Like many have posted, I have heard that the next logical step is B210K. If you decide to go that route, good luck to you!
-
Woohoo...just finished week 1, day 3. And, dummy me realized when I was about done, that I had been doing all 3 days at an incline of one instead of 0 haha Who else get's to celebrate first week down?
-
Along with what the others said (Zumba, nutrition, etc.), I have also heard that the tummy area & triceps area is the LAST place us, as woman, lose the excess weight. Good luck on your continued journey!

I've been doing Zumba for about 8 months now and LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I used to go 4 times a week, but then my grandfather fell and needed some of my time, so I dropped it down to twice a week. This week, the place I do it at is having their floors resurfaced this week, so we haven't been able to Zumba (which made it a…

I MAKE Swarovski crystal jewelry - necklaces, bracelets, earrings. Have done many for the bride & a couple for the bridesmaids. Like many, I gave my bridesmaids their necklace & earrings that they wore and could wear again. I also decorate glass candle holders and vases with the crystals and you could do that with your…

I have week 1, day 2 to do today. Never been a runner; though I did play soccer for 8 years when I was younger. My goals by completing C25K: end of this year - run a 5k and end of January next year, run a 1/2 marathon! Nothing like reaching for the stars, right? Anyone can feel free to add me for support, encouragement and…

Ahh, right up the street!
-
Oh, and anyone can feel free to add me as a friend to keep each other updated on our progress :)
-
I was wondering what other people walked and ran at on the treadmill version. I didn't find 5.0 too bad, but we'll see how I feel about it as time goes on haha
-
Like everyone else, you can add me if you would like more help & encouragement. I just (within the last 2 hours), finished the first day. NEVER been a runner. Played soccer for 8 years, but I didn't have to run miles to be good at the sport. During the mile run tests in school, couldn't get very far with that and always…

I JUST started this today and completed 1:1 feeling great about myself. There are sooo many people doing this; even another friend of mine on MFP started it today so that we can keep each other on track. Good luck to you!

You can always do push ups, bicycles, lunges, squats, planks...you don't NEED equipment, memberships or a good neighborhood for those :) Good luck & get up lol
