I definitely need some motivation. 4%= 6 pounds by September 18th. Perfect, since its just before my daughter's birthday party, and don't want to look any bigger than I did in last year's pictures.

Elimay- sounds like your having a nice visit. Sammylc- kind of in the same boat. Treat each day as a new one. For me, there are two more weeks before we have holiday company, so I'm holding out that I might be good till then. Today didn't pan out, and we're joining family for dinner tomorrow night. However, I'm not yet…

Thanks for the birthday wish Dream to Play. I definitely enjoyed yesterday, and tried to do better today. This week has been a bust as far as exercise. Today though I have been better regarding water. Went over on calories, and definitely had too many carbs today. So, hopefully tomorrow will be better. Night!

Didn't make it to the gym this morning because my little one slept in. Today I intend to enjoy and over-indulge because it's my birthday. So, tomorrow I will try to get back on track. Have a great day!
-
Oops- I meant to check in but the day escaped me. Nothing to report though. Wednesday is my cheat day. If I get any sleep, I will be going to the gym too.

Glad everyone is having a good day. For me, not so much. I didn't even track food or water because I wasn't feeling good, and not particularly happy this morning either. Tonight though made sure dinner had plenty of vegetables (lunch did too). So, while I may have gone over in calories, I don't feel too terrible about it.…

In the green for the day. Proud of myself because I almost mindlessly snacked while watching tv after dinner with my husband. He was snacking, and I automatically reached for some, but realized I wasn't hungry. I let go of it and ignored the snacks. Woo hoo!

Today I was good until dinner. And it wasn't so much that dinner was unhealthy, I just had double the portion sizes of what I should have had. So, now I'm stuffed, and a little bit in the red. I'm guessing I drank about 6 glasses of water, rather than 8, but supplemented that with coffee (which dehydrates, so not really a…

Goals: 1. Get at least 30 minutes of cardio 2-3 times per week 2. Watch portion sizes (and limit the chips to once a week) 3. Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day Healthy Habit: Make sure to get one non-starchy vegetable or fruit at each meal Free Day: date night So its only Day 2, but I think I'm going to add a goal.…

Made fairly healthy food choices today. Realized lunch was missing a fruit or vegetable, but had it covered at breakfast and dinner. I know I didn't drink enough, especially with my dry hands and lips. Tomorrow will have to keep better track of it. Tomorrow, if all goes according to plan, then I'll get in some time at the…

Hi All! I've enjoyed the challenge and reading everyone else's posts- Thanks Elimay. Looking forward to December. Well, today started off good when I went on the scale. I've lost 2.2 lbs this month (with constant ups and downs). Of course, due to significant sleep deprivation during the night, I kind of threw out any…

Hair falling out can be due to nutrient deficiency, but also can be a sign of thyroid issues or stress.

I'm in! Goals: 1. Get at least 30 minutes of cardio 2-3 times per week 2. Watch portion sizes (and limit the chips to once a week) 3. Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day Healthy Habit: Make sure to get one non-starchy vegetable or fruit at each meal Free Day: date night

Elimay- I know you mentioned a December challlenge. I've enjoyed doing the November challenge (and hope to be better in December). Can't believe its almost December, but since I actually looked at the calendar, I just wanted to make sure the next challenge is still happening. Thanks.

Got in 40 minutes of cardio. My eating habits were good until I couldn't tune out the bag of chips calling me. Oh, and the cookies my daughter asked me to bake...otherwise I was good. :)

Drank a lot of water, made healthy food choices during the day, and didn't eat any potato chips today. Tomorrow I intend to go to the gym. Looks like I'm getting back on track. Also. I'm finding if I start the day with a large glass of water (and then coffee), I'm more likely to keep up with the water intake. who knew it…

I was better today, although not perfect. Picked up some veggies to enjoy tomorrow. Will try to log food in again tomorrow, and may even hop on the scale. Seems like baby steps, but something is better than nothing.

Hope everyone was able to enjoy Thanksgiving. Congrats on the walk Deebear. Well, I'm craving salad and fruit so I think my carefree and overindulgent eating of the past few days is over. Tomorrow I intend to track my liquid intake and eat better. Goodnight!
-
I unfortunately have fallen off the wagon. Since its only a few days until Thanksgiving, I probably won't get back to being good until afterwards, rather than keep making up excuses. Realistically, we'll be eating leftovers for a day or two, so by the weekend I hope to start being better. Sunday will start off a new week,…

I stuck to the water. Initially that was difficult, but as the day wore on it became easier to drink 64 oz (plus coffee so I'm over). Just finished dinner and still in the green. Not 100% sure yet if I want something more, but will try to ignore that.

Hawkeye gal- sorry you're feeling discouraged. As for the scale going up, is it possible you are not getting enough sleep? I know I eat more carbs and make worse food choices when I'm sleep deprived (which is fairly often). Also, are you excercising too much? That sounds backwards, but you do need to give your body a rest.…

I have not checked in in a few days because we had a few things to celebrate and I indulged. Rather, over-indulged in things like bread, cheese, and baked goods. We had a night away from our FA child, so wasn't going to miss out on the oppportunity. I enjoyed the time, but am afraid of what the scale will read later. So,…

I also have been bad this weekend. I opted not to check in yesterday, because, I guess you could say I checked out for the day. Didn't diary. We had company for lunch, and didn't feel like calculating what I ate. Today I fell into the same rut of not wanting to calculate what I'm eating. However, tomorrow I plan to go to…

It was an uneventful day today. Worked out this morning, and otherwise, the norm of being a SAHM to a busy little one. That would mean laundry, cleaning up the kitchen, and making another mess in it later for dinner. Tomorrow we have company coming for lunch, so hopefully won't go too crazy on calories. Elimay, sorry to…

Sounds like installing a bathtub was exercise in itself.

Its early in the day yet for me to check in, but I just realized something. First, thank you Elimay for starting this challenge. As I put down when the challenge started, I needed motivation because while I want to lose weight, it see-saws within a few pounds. I'll be good for a few days or a few weeks, and then life…

I didn't workout today, but did stuff around the house so hopefully some of that counts. I logged in everything I ate, and was over but not too badly. If I can get some sleep in tonight, then I anticipate tomorrow being a better day. Hope everyone else had a good day.
-
Tonight was date night so blew through calories. There was no point in even attempting to log in my food tonight. I know its bad, but I don't feel guilty. I also had a bad night's sleep, so sleep deprivation probably contributed to my opting to make today my chip day (which I didn't stick to just one serving). So, while I…

Feel better Elimay! Hope your doctor appointment goes well.

Sorry you had to use rage as your motivation100zrr, but amused to read the phrase "rage cleaned". Good outlet for anger. Today was better. Got in 25 minutes of cardio this morning, and am under calories. I calculated a little more cardio later in the day when I hand-grated some potatoes for dinner (there was an actual…
