I don't think week one is that difficult.. I would say it is easier than level 3 of the shred. It sure gives you a great workout, but I felt prepared after completing the 30DS! Now if I hadn't done 30DS before, I bet I would think its a lot harder! You should be fine if you do it after you finish the shred! I thought it…

I finished the first week of RI30 today! On to level 2 tomorrow! I'm a little scared as I don't know what to expect! Is everyone taking rest days? I haven't yet!

Totally missed this thread! Shoot! Please feel free to add me as a friend, I love the support from people in the same boat as me! I'm 19, an English Major with a Spanish Minor, and going to a college sophomore! I got to a small public liberal arts college and I will be living in an on campus apartment with three other…

Count me in! I was just thinking about making a thread like this one, glad I found this first! I'm 19 years old and going into my sophomore year of college! I need a support system and group of other college students to help me keep on track with my busy schedule and finding time to exercise and having the motivation to…

Look at you all go! I'm so proud of you guys! Keep pushing along! You're all doing such a great job and keep me motivated to get my workout in! Today I did W1D6. I have one more day of this first week and then its on to week two! I am finally not feeling as sore as I have the first 5 days! Oh it was brutal! Haha! Today I…

W1D5 done! :) I am still so sore! Yikes! It could have something to do with the fact that I am using 5lb weights. I don't have a lighter set. haha. I personally like Jillian a lot better in Ripped In 30 than in 30DS. She was like intimidating and meaner in 30DS. This one she at least seems a lot lighter and has a better…

Im so in! :) I finished day 4 this morning of week 1 and my hamstrings just burn... I've gained weight in water retention in my muscles but that should all be gone about halfway through the month. the crazy side lunges from 30DS are back..ouch. I can do regular pushups though for half the time :) yay!
-
Sounds like you've got your hands full! I managed 8 regular push ups in the first set today! Of course, I'm sure I'm not going deep enough into them, but it's a start and at least my arms can hold up the rest of me.. haha. Just finished W1D4. I'm still so sore (hamstrings). I'm working through the soreness though! I am up…

That's awesome you're going to mix it up! I know what you mean about it kicking butt though.. I said I wasn't going to do day 3 today because I went to an amusement park and after walking around all day, my hamstrings were so sore from the previous two days, but I got home and decided to do it anyways and I'm still really…

There are no jumping jacks in this week's circuits! However there are butt kicks and punches as there were in 30DS They have some really fun cardio moves though like "running man" and "fast feet". They're hard, but work your hamstrings and legs to much! Thanks so much!

W1D2 is finished! The side lunges from 30DS are back and are KILLING me! My hamstrings just burn! As sore as they are, I love the feeling and know that I'm doing the exercises right! I still enjoy this workout more than 30DS levels, maybe because its a refreshing change or Jillian is a lot less intimidating, who knows.. I…

I finished W1D1 this morning! OMG I FEEL GREAT! I am energized and so proud of myself with how good I did for the first day! After 30DS, some of the moves were quite easy for me to get deeper into! Jillian is not as intimidating in this workout and instead had be laughing out loud at some of the things she said "GET…

Thanks!!!!!! And you should definitely pick up a copy of 30DS! I was motivated to start when I saw success stories and it has made all the difference! I'm starting Ripped In 30 tomorrow. I hope for some results that are close to the ones I had with the shred!
-
Thanks so much everyone, your comments mean the world to me! I did it every single day.. with a 3 day week over the 4th of July weekend because I was camping! I did a double day though to help make up for lost time!
-
I'll join this! I'm starting tomorrow, but I need support and motivation from those doing it too so that I can finish it out strong and not give up!
-
Thanks so much everyone for your wonderful feedback! It gives me the motivation to keep pushing onwards in my journey towards being fit! Thanks to those who have mentioned that they are also doing the Shred and that my results were motivation for you! Stick with it, because soon your results will blow your mind just like…

It's a workout DVD by Jillian Micheals from The Biggest Loser! It's a 20 minute workout plus a warm up and cool down! There are 3 circuits each containing: 3 minutes strength, 2 of cardio, 1 of abs! Hope that helps! Thanks so much for your kind words everyone, super excited I can keep you motivated! I know how much…

You look fantastic! Way to go! Keep up the hard work!

Tomorrow is my last day of the Shred! I was super sore until like day 4 and than the first few days of each of the other levels too. It depends on your body, but a lot of people I've heard from would say it gets easier after day 4! Keep working through the pain unless it's unbearable or you have an injury, but as Jillian…

WOW! You look fabulous! Great job, your progress is really inspiring. I myself had a HW of 194 when I first started out and hovered around 150-155 for a couple years till my weight started climbing again and I decided to do something about it again! So your progress hits home to me as far as numbers go! You look so healthy…

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/BeautyFromWithin/view/tips-for-finding-and-better-yet-keeping-motivation-123694 I wrote the above blog post yesterday and perhaps it could help you find some motivation again? You've hit your half way mark and that is SOOOO amazing, do not slow down now! It's the time to push yourself…

I second "The Help"! So Awesome.

Bwahaha! Your body gets used to it I guess. I still go pee like ALL the time. But I drink an average of 12-14 glasses a day. I count Crystal Light as water. It is.. just a little flavoring in it! I wouldn't be able to drink all the water I do without that stuff. It seriously is a lifesaver!

OMG! This like totally made my ENTIRE day! Thank you so much, I'm flattered! I'm so honored to be your MFP friend and keep you motivated and offer as much support as I can! You are too sweet, thank you!! I'm speechless. haha.

I LOVE her cinnamonous french toast and Chopped BLT salad! I can't wait to make more of her recipes. The next on my to-make list is her FRIED PICKLES! They are my favorite food EVER, so this healthy recipe just about made me do happy flips!

You're doing such an amazing job! Keep it up hun! Your hard work is paying off!

I had really sore knees the first couple days of level 2 of the shred. I found that once I added back in the knees circles from the warm up from level one, it helped a lot. However, my knees still pop a lot - like the joints- during the day! I had pre-patellaburstitis or however it's spelt from hyperextending my knee about…

If these wonderful words from everyone else aren't enough... STICK WITH IT! You can do it! The first few days are absolutely brutal, but you will be so surprised by how much your endurance has improved when you get towards the end of level one. It will feel amazing and unbelievable! I pushed passed the feeling of defeat…
-
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I love that feeling, but than I start to feel weird for staring at myself for so long in awe! Congrats on the NSV! Keep up the hard work and soon you'll be shredding even more away!

I'm 5"4 and 3/4ths. I like to round up to 5"5 though even though its a stretch I know. I currently weigh 150 right now and I've got the whole love handles and thunder thighs going on as that is where all the weight gathers in my family history. Both sides of the family are thicker framed for sure. The lowest weight I've…
