i know fitness trackers count calories burned, but do you still need to manually put in what you've eaten for the day etc? I'm confused on these, and thinking about getting one, just not sure which one.

id be interested ;) i'm just starting back up myself, my weight is a constant yoyo and i can't get down to where i want to be, i have about 20 lbs to lose and i keep gaining and losing the same 10 lbs ;(

ok ok, my bad, i apologize for being an overly sensitive adult. The point was you aren't "well known" to me, so of course it would seem rude instead of just being short. Enough said.

it just came across as rude the exact quote was "dont compare your needs to someone elses".....which i wasn't doing, i guess after yesterdays post i'm just highly sensitive, maybe rude wasn't the right word......"short" would have been better. I'm just trying to get opinions and suggestions like everyone else.

i wasn't "comparing my needs to someone elses" i was asking a question. I dont think people realize sometimes that the way they word things on a message board comes across as extremely rude. this post is actually confusing me. I posted yesterday saying i was eating 1200 calories a day and exercising and was told i wasn't eating ENOUGH for weight loss.

after all of this, i'm about ready to give up trying to calorie count all together.........but thanks - it give me some more to think about.

based on everyones suggestions, my next step is to check the weights in grams instead of cups, i'll use the kitchen scale more. I was doing alot on fitness pal based on the convenience, i'm thinking that even if my calorie intake is a bit off, i can't be consuming 500+ more calories than i think i am? Maybe i'll get a…

how many grams does 2 cups of cantaloupe weigh? what about 1/8 cup of sauce? what about the "Homemade - Broccoli-Quinoa Casserole, 3/4 cup cooked" Can someone tell me what this means? what is the difference in grams and cups? now i'm really confused about putting in my calories......thanks

"only 25 lbs" seems like a huge amount to me :).....but i'm not taking it daily anymore. I didn't realize i should be eating my exercise calories, i just figured that i would lose more if i didn't eat them? I am absolutely weighing my food, i can't see how you can do it wrong with a kitchen scale lol. I dont drink anything but water, or i scan the bar code on any packaging.
