5'11" and shooting for around 150, but honestly I have no idea what I'll look like/ be happy at. I was the same height during my late teens and a size smaller than I am now, but I certainly didn't look thin. Especially next to regular folk. Grrrrr

Welcome to mfp! I'm on a 196 day streak and enjoy plenty of cake and treats :drinker:

You absolutely don't have to weigh and measure your food to lose weight. For a lot of people, weighing is a big eye opener. Some foods, like peanut butter, are so calorie dense that you could easily be eating hundreds of calories without thinking that your serving size is unreasonable. A lot of my scale use is learning…

As others have said, meal timing/ calorie distribution has no real impact. Why do you feel guilty logging a chocolate bar? I log all manner of sweets, desserts and pastries and put chocolate chips on my cereal. I eat my 1550, lost 3lbs in the last 7 days and have hit my macro goals for the week dead on 45c/30f/25p with…

+1 for fitnessblender. Their videos remind me how much I need to improve my flexibility, and then they have the flexibility videos right there for me.

10/10

MFP grossly overestimates calorie burn. Unless you have a heart rate monitor for a more accurate number, I'd take the real figure to be half, so 166.

If you're coming up to your time of the month, don't even question what your weight does. If you're accurately measuring the 1200, you're most likely losing but experiencing some sort of fluctuation that masks the change and it will drop off later.

Evenly all over. I'm down from a uk 18 to a 14 and I'm basically the same body shape. As I start to run low on fat to lose in some areas, I expect my tummy/ thighs to start getting proportionally smaller.

Judging by your binge thread yesterday, I wouldn't go blaming your family's food choices for you feeling sick. OP, I left my boyfriend and am staying with family until my new lease starts. For the whole three months I'm not living in my flat, I've had to pay that rent and my phone contract while saving for a downpayment…

Try using a TDEE calculator that incorporates your exercise level: http://iifym.com/iifym-calculator/ Your TDEE is the number of calories you should maintain weight at. To lose weight, you eat below this. If you eat 500cals below your TDEE every day, that's a 3500cal deficit a week = 1lb loss. 750 below TDEE every day =…

Welcome to mfp! I will send you a friend request. I love chasing people down when they disappear. Also, I have a link for you: http://www.fitnessblender.com/v/full-length-workouts/ If you filter their workouts, you'll be able to find a huge range of low impact workouts that might be useful with your ankles (don't be afraid…

I looked up the app it works with (only for this tracker) and the reviews aren't great, but then there are only two written reviews and some people have rated it 4/5: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.idthk.wristband.ui.le.os&hl=en_GB It's also not compatible with my samsung s3 mini, which is a shame as I…

I attended two weeks of slimming world with friends and we were told that we could eat unlimited pasta and should eat grapefruit every day. Unsurprisingly, most of the group was gaining weight instead of losing, which they were told was because they were eating the wrong type of brown bread.

Just cooked it for dinner and it went down great. I served it with broccoli and green beans and everyone was coating them in the sauce and scraped their plates clean. More sauce next time for me. Op, this was delicious and ridiculously easy, thanks for sharing :) Also the macros were spot on until I found out the chicken…

:grumble: But seriously, I love friends that eat and stick around. Add away :flowerforyou:

Bookmarked. I love recipes made with things I actually use everyday opposed to buying and having no other use for :drinker:

I still have a way to go working towards the same goal. Anyone can feel free to add me :)

I'm 22 and in the UK. Feel free to add me :flowerforyou:

My home > Goals > Change goals > Custom Alternatively, set your mfp goal to lose 1-1.5lbs per week as this would be a reasonable pace for you.

Yes, the cheese is bad, but 4 pints of lager at over 1000 cals is great

Why are you planning to eat chinese/ vietnamese/ japanese/ indian/ korean food in europe? Some of those are incredibly greasy and high calorie here. I'd google map where you're staying, find out some nearby restaurants and look up their menus online. Lots of places here give the calories for their dishes and put a lot of…

Ice cream in mls is the worst. I mash it down into a measuring jug and eat it straight from the jug. :drinker:

If I can do it in grams, I'll do it that way. I've wasted enough time trying to get things out of the bloody measuring spoons :grumble:

Apps > Tickers to make one. Good luck :)

My scales' instructions didn't say anything about this, but I have to do it and so do the other people I know with the same ones. They always weigh exactly 3lbs heavier the first time you step on them and second time give your actual weight. OP, definitely try this.

I'm studying engineering too :) I ended up maintaining during revision and exams. It wasn't really intentional, but I found near the start of revising that I was getting really too tired to focus properly, so do consider maintaining temporarily. Quick meals/ snacks I lived on: - Jumbo chocolate chip snack-a-jacks (62cals)…

Hi! Start taking pictures and measurements now. You're going to be low on motivation at times and the scales won't always move how you want them to. Seeing a difference in photos/ knowing that you're smaller is such a great boost. Other than that, just take it slow and make some good habits you're happy to keep :)

I had this set up living in an overpriced studio flat with my boyfriend for a year and it was hell. Good luck! Do you have a microwave? Our hobs were too close together to actually use both, so I used to steam vegetables in the microwave in a bowl with some water and a plate on top. Stir fry Burrito bowl -more salad, less…

Everyone seems to agree mfp overestimates exercise burns, and endomondo gives me similar figures to mfp, so I know it probably is a little high. I get around 380-500 calories for my runs and expect it to be off by about 100. When I lost most of my weight so far, I had my goal set at 1300, logged all walking, wasn't…
