Haven't laughed this hard in ages. Tears rolling down my face from laughing so hard. Trying not to wake hubby as he would think I've gone insane. Although the device actually sounds like a stun gun, not a taser. Way too funny anyway!

Thanks for the update. Hope it heals quickly!

I also measure each thigh. One thigh may be bigger or smaller than the other.

I'm not a doctor or nurse, but I would have it looked at as soon as you can.

I used to use my exercise ball at work. I would definitely get one with the wheel base that ball sits in. The inability to roll to to my printer was the biggest downfall. I want to take it back to work, but due to space constraints I cant. (office is much smaller). It is nice to have a regular desk chair handy as well. I…

I have hit a couple of plateaus also. I change up my routine, zigzag calories and try to drink more water when I hit a plateau. Keep your body guessing. Although the last plateau was quite stubborn, but when the scale wasn't moving was when I noticed it in inches lost and my pants started falling off. Hang in there.

Those are better than the scale moving. And for me it seems to be either the scale or the inches,. But never both at the same time.

I had words with my sons coach several years ago after he told my son and another boy that they should 'go home and play with their barbies'. He was making fun of the boys for not staying in the batter's box. (This was in minor league when the pitchers are throwing hard, but without accuracy.) I did speak to the head of…

For those of you who don't know NSV is non-scale victory. Mine was placing 3rd in my age range for the 5K yesterday. (And once during the race when I noticed that I hadn't tied my running pants tight enough - they were sliding. Good thing they didn't slide too much before I realized it!)

I think swimming leasurely is appropriate. Although since I walk and run alot in the water I count it as water aerobics. (but I usually only count half my time in the water)

Only way to know for sure is if you have bloodwork done. I didn't know that mine was too low. (I never add salt to food and buy low sodium everything) Last month I had some bloodwork done and she told me that my sodium was low. She said I should be careful to eat more salty snacks put salt on my foods. She told me it…

Great attitude! Keep it going!

I've lost 21 now (183 to 162) and I don't usually see much difference either. But remember that you and your immediate family see the results everyday and you don't really notice it, but to people who don't see you everyday it will be much more noticable. Someone that works in one of the other offices in my building…

Great job! Such an inspiration!

I saw several days that looked as if you didn't eat much at all--skipped lunch and dinner. I didn't look real close as I was mainly wondering about your sodium - which I see you are tracking. I noticed it seemed to often be below the goal. My doctor recently told me to Increase my sodium by eating more salty snacks, or…

I've always measured at the widest point of the thigh.

What is your goal set as? When I set mine to 1/2 pound per week it increased my caloric intake for the day and I began losing again. Do you take your measurements also? I had 6 weeks where I didn't lose much, but over the course of those weeks I did lose inches. Although I wouldn't compare measurements more than once…

I'm 5'1" and weigh 162. My thighs are 22.5. A coulple of months ago they were 24.5. After reading the other posts I had to measure mine again as I still have a long way to go until they are firm (and not as much jiggle). Everyone's body is different. We all carry weight in different places. For me a lot of it is on my…

How about an exercise that is not in the water. While swimming and water aerobics are excellent exercises that burn a lot of calories, not sure how good they are for weight loss due to the fact that your body wants some insulation to keep you warm in the water. They are great for toning and overall fitness, but not…
