I took it years ago. Gained 22 lbs in 6 months. Got off it and it all came right off. Messed with my hormones too much.

MFP tells me for my stats that 1830 ismaintenance. I actually maintain at about 1950. I am 5' 7" and 133 lbs. :)

I believe the max you can set it at on this site IS 2 lbs. So slow and steady, according to the site, would not be 2 lbs, but rather 1lb (which is what is recommended). Good luck!

I much prefer sweet potatoes! I cut them up and sprinkle with Tony's cajun seasoning for sweet potato fries- bake in oven. :)

I weigh at work so no naked allowed. But I wear scrubs everyday so that removes the variable. ;)

Trimmed- yes. Shaven- no. :)

Try eating more throughout the day when you know you will be working out, as opposed to waiting til the end of the day to try and eat them all back. Eat more calorie dense foods instead of "light" or "diet" foods (i.e. the whole egg instead of egg white, 2% instead of fat free milk), olive oils are great for salad…

Because a male should NET no less than 1500 cals/day. NET means the amount of cals you eat minus the amount you burn. Some days you eat 1200-1300 and burn 800. You are only allowing (NETTING) 400-500 cals/day. That is starving your body. Try eating more calorie dense foods, as opposed to diet, or light items.

No no no. You are currently set at the minimum caloric value recommended my most docs. 1200 is very few calories. Please do not decrease. If anything try upping your calories to give your metabolism a lil boost.

It's human nature to snub peole when they're doing something awesome for themselves that the other person is not doing. I think we all do it at some point and really have to check ourselves and ask "hey, why am am I being like that. What do I care?" Good for you on your accomplishments!!

Of course it varies across the board and there are exceptions to the rule but I would have to say after 30 for a guy and AT LEAST after 25 for a girl (late 20's is probably better). Soley on the basis of maturity, life experience, life skills, compassion, and loyalty. Men really seem to mature in their 30s and women really…

Hell if I want a brownie I'm gonna eat a brownie and work my butt off to burn the cals! Deprivation is not the key.

Hi. I'm 5*8 and weighed 135 before I got pregnant. They say a good rule of thumb (though not ALWAYS accurate) is 100 lbs for the first 5 feet and 5 pounds for every inch after that. So 5*10= 150 lbs. Of course you will want to gauge it more closely when you get closer to your goal. Good luck!!

I'm the opposite. I find myself hoping/wondering if they worked it into their daily plan. I myself eat crap sometimes but it is included in my daily caloric goal. For all you know that is what they are doing as well.

Seeing how much you're eating seems like motivation enough to me. Logging will help you stay on track and within your caloric goals. If just breakfast and a snack surprised you then imagine what the rest of the day would hold if you don't change your habits...Good luck to you!!

Also, regardless of the pounds you choose to lose per week MFP will not have you eat less than 1200 calories even though the math seems as though you should. Eating below this withour dr supervision is not recommended. And the less you have to lose the less you should choose to lose per week. Have a lot to lose? Two lbs…

BMR is what you burn laying down not moving all day. You burn about 500 cals on top of that just living your life. Your daily ependiture is your BMR plus your daily activity. This is what the 500 is deducted from.
-
Unless supervised by a doctor the typical minimum calories one should get in is 1200 NET for women and 1500 NET for men (NET includes the calories burned through exercise).

0.5-2 lbs per week is normal. The less you have to lose the better it is to lose less per week. It helps with maintenance.

Are you tracking your sodium? High sodium diets lead to water retention. Also, anywhere near that time of the month? I gain 4-5 lbs at this time. Just water weight though. Make sure you are drinking at least 8 cups of water per day to wash out the excess.
