I think everyone is different hun. I know for me it is still a daily effort to not over indulge. I love food and can easily consume 4000 cals per day. Most days I eat between 1800-2500. Maintenance for me is 1800 but I just love food so much. Self control is a huge factor for your success. I hope it comes easier for you!!

Well the good news is you do not need exercise to lose weight! Don't get me wrong- exercise is an added bonus, has several other health benefits, and definitely assists in the toning/bulking process, but for weight loss diet is the main contributor to your success. Just log everything you eat and hold yourself accountable.…

I'm not familiar with dog scootering but isn't that where the dog just pulls you?

Savings! It is wise to have 6 months of household salary put in the bank just in case unemployment finds you. That's what the hubby and I are working towards! But that's like $35,000 to try and save. Uggghhh! I feel like we will never get there. Lol!

This is why as a parent your are to monitor the candy intake and not just allow them to eat it all in one sitting. Also, I do not send my children to strangers doors alone. I am right there with them. I don't know of any parent who sends their small children out trick or treating without an adult.

LOL! That's a great idea!!!

That is what I was thinking. The only thing that makes me question it is that when I stopped bc in the past I still had a regular cycle. I guess things can change though. And I started prenatal pills as soon as I stopped the pill. :)

Yes. That is the one I used both times. Is the blood test more reliable?

It is typically dry, before you cook it, and before you add water.

Single life is awesome. But finding that one person that you can fall into is where it's at! For me anyway. Sure there might be rough times but I would take 100 rought imes with my soulmate over never seeing his smiling face, holding his hand, kissing his lips, etc. Corny I know but I am in love!!

When my husband proposed we were also hiking. He started casually talking about all of the fun things we had done together over the years. He then mentioned how we had the rest of our lives to add to those memories. Then he got down on one knee and asked if I would do him the honor of adding to those memories by marrying…

Can't gain 2 lbs without eating an extra 7000 calories. So it's water weight. Fluctuations happen daily. Only take to heart once a week weigh ins.

Short answer= yes.

Calorie wise yes. But no real nutritional value and the sodium is typically high.

This is awesome. It just goes to show that what it comes down to is how bad you want to change yourself/your life. If you want it bad enough you will do whatever it takes to succeed. When people ask me how to give up junk food, how to get motivated to exercise, how to give up the alcohol or smokes, I just ask them- what do…

I do. But I chew a lot of gum. Probably about 25-50 cals per day worth.

I read this article. For sweets you are supposed to eat an apple. For salty cravings- pickle.

THIS! It's a natural joint lubricant. Try it. Couldn't hurt. My husband's shoulder gives him issues during workouts and this was the advice of his doc.

You need to weigh yourself in the mornings after you use the bathroom. Foods we eat throughout the day weigh different amounts, regardless of how many calories are in them. For example- I eat a very large sweet potato and drink about 48 oz of water for lunch often. If I weighed right after lunch I would be up almost two…

I like to cut mine up, sprinkle em with tony's spicy seasoning, and bake 'em like french fries!

If you're going to track calories then you need to actually track the calories. And black olives are calorie dense (for their size). An apple can be 150 cals. Those calories add up. If you just want to eat better and healthier and not track then that's understandable. But if you are going to take the time and energy to use…

1200 NET (1200+anything burned through exercise) is the minimum you should be eating. Eating less consistently can slow your metabolism, thus hindering weight loss.

Your work goes to this place everyday? And you have to go too, everyday? Can you bring your lunch from home? Just a thought.

I think you are supposed to sit on a large ball by itself, using it as the chair. This helps to strengthen your core. I can't imagine that that would look any sillier than chair dips or any other exercise you can do in your chair. And most importantly- who cares? It's your body, your desk, your chair. No one else's…
