I'm low carb-ing too. Try to stay under 10% net carbs a day. My diary is open if you're looking for ideas. My favorite breakfast (and sometimes snack) is this muffin- http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/258089-low-carb-microwave-muffin It's saved me numerous times from feeling deprived. Also this thread is helpful…

Wow- thank you so much for sharing those inspiring pictures! You look great and must feel wonderful. Congratulations!

Protein like hard boiled eggs, tuna or turkey jerky. The worst is "healthy" bars that are really nothing but carbs and sugar, cereal... A lot of people say oatmeal. Doesn't work for me.

I found out quickly that all calories aren't created the same- I'm immediately hungry after eating a bar filled with sugar and carbs, but the same amount of calories for an egg fried in butter really lasts and makes me full.

Check out- http://www.bodyrock.tv/ There are lots of quick, body weight routines Zuzana does that will get your heart rate up and get you sweating. Also a jump rope is great for burning calories. Good luck!

What FANTASTIC advice! Just because whole grains are better than highly processed grains doesn't mean you should have 10 servings of them. And that fat isn't your enemy, sugar being the real source of weight gain. All gold. It's nice to hear helpful statements like this- Thank you!

I do different classes Mon-Sat @10:30am. I work 'til 2:30am so I'm just waking up when I first get there. No eating beforehand, just some water- it takes a while for me to even realize I want to eat in the morning so it works out perfectly this way. Then I've already started my day with exercise, so it's easier to keep up…

What a great, informative post. Thanks so much!

Making a big pan of roasted veggies is wonderful. Good roasters are- cauliflower chunks, green beans, whole mushrooms, zucchini slices, asparagus... toss 'em with some olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic and put on a sheet tray in the oven at 400 'til they brown. Enjoy hot or room temp. Great as a side or in salads, good to…

Yay! Thanks, you made me feel better about my choices.

I'd rather eat a real candy bar.
-
Yup- lower the carbs and up your fats and proteins. I find that fat works best to make me feel full. Good luck!

I can't figure out the picture thing, but Salma Hayek in "From Dusk 'til Dawn" in that bikini. I look very similar, just a few sizes bigger and with some cellulite on the backs of my thighs. Sigh... I'm working on it.

I agree with the posts about you have to move to gain energy, I know it's hard- I'd rather lay around all day too! Having appointments with a trainer really helps me. If it were only me alone heading to the gym it would never happen, but I'd never flake on someone who expects me to meet them. Also going low carb/low sugar…

Try this microwave muffin- http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/258089-low-carb-microwave-muffin I'm low carb and eat one almost every morning for breakfast. It's really filling and can be made in a zillion different flavors.

Make your own with water and green tea bags. Calorie free and much less expensive.
-
Yeah- she was confused. Green tea has caffeine, unless it states on the box decaffeinated. Sleepytime is a Celestial Seasonings brand herbal tea.

That place is packed with great stuff- my recommendation is go slow and check everything out, take your time, read labels. Have fun!

Or roasted cauliflower. Toss bite sized pieces with olive oil, diced fresh garlic, salt, pepper and a sprinkle of parmesan. Bake it in one layer in the oven 'til it gets a bit crispy. Yum!

I haven't made this in a while but my favorite is with tuna, penne, pesto, capers, lemon juice and zest, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts and parmesan cheese. It's sososo good. Now I'm craving it.
